  • DLL Load Failed, Not a Valid Win32 App showing for both x86 & x64 DLLs

    - by mitrebox
Trying to run the latest version of heatmap. http://jjguy.com/heatmap/ DLL load keeps crapping out on me in both 64 & 32 bit dlls. (Similar questions on this seemed irrelevant as I've tried loading both DLLs) I'm running Windows 7. I have uninstalled and re-installed 2.7.3 64 bit. Idle Top line: Python 2.7.3 (default, Apr 10 2012, 23:24:47) [MSC v.1500 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32 I've tried loading C:\Python27\DLLs\cHeatmap-x86.dll ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. C:\Python27\DLLs\cHeatmap-x64.dll ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. I can run heatmap 1.1 but that was before DLLs were added.

  • Database doesn't update using TransactionScope

    - by Dissonant
I have a client trying to communicate with a WCF service in a transactional manner. The client passes some data to the service and the service adds the data to its database accordingly. For some reason, the new data the service submits to its database isn't being persisted. When I have a look at the table data in the Server Explorer no new rows are added... Relevant code snippets are below: Client static void Main() { MyServiceClient client = new MyServiceClient(); Console.WriteLine("Please enter your name:"); string name = Console.ReadLine(); Console.WriteLine("Please enter the amount:"); int amount = int.Parse(Console.ReadLine()); using (TransactionScope transaction = new TransactionScope(TransactionScopeOption.Required)) { client.SubmitData(amount, name); transaction.Complete(); } client.Close(); } Service Note: I'm using Entity Framework to persist objects to the database. [OperationBehavior(TransactionScopeRequired = true, TransactionAutoComplete = true)] public void SubmitData(int amount, string name) { DatabaseEntities db = new DatabaseEntities(); Payment payment = new Payment(); payment.Amount = amount; payment.Name = name; db.AddToPayment(payment); //add to Payment table db.SaveChanges(); db.Dispose(); } I'm guessing it has something to do with the TransactionScope being used in the client. I've tried all combinations of db.SaveChanges() and db.AcceptAllChanges() as well, but the new payment data just doesn't get added to the database!

  • [iPhone app] Detecting which key has been pressed in UITextField

    - by Dough
Hi, I have an UITextField object in my view and want to launch a method when user press backspace button and textField is empty. First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. The only way to launch the method is when text length is 0 - press backspace - remain to 0. How to catch the event of pressing the backspace key in my UITextField ? Thanks in advance !

  • Is there are standard way to store a database schema outside a python app

    - by acrosman
I am working on a small database application in Python (currently targeting 2.5 and 2.6) using sqlite3. It would be helpful to be able to provide a series of functions that could setup the database and validate that it matches the current schema. Before I reinvent the wheel, I thought I'd look around for libraries that would provide something similar. I'd love to have something akin to RoR's migrations. xml2ddl doesn't appear to be meant as a library (although it could be used that way), and more importantly doesn't support sqlite3. I'm also worried about the need to move to Python 3 one day given the lack of recent attention to xml2ddl. Are there other tools around that people are using to handle this?

  • Firefox - Stashing Requests for Deliberate Resubmission to Django App

    - by Koobz
I've got an object creation form that's somewhat complicated, it contains a few dynamic formsets etc. I'm trying to ensure that these dynamic formsets are intact if the form runs into an error and returns you to the given page. In cases like this, the refresh button actually works well in re-submitting the request, but I can't rely on it. I'm doing some ad-hoc testing in the browser that I'd like to make a bit more repeatable, and eventually move to a unit test using Django's mock client. Is there an extension, or some convenient method to stash requests for later re-submission. The goal: I resubmit the request, tweak the code, eyeball the results, rinse and repeat. Three days later I can come back to it an try it again to make sure it's still working. The closest thing I can think of in this case is simply recording my activity with Selenium ide and replaying it.

    - by André Alçada Padez
Well. i'm really sorry for the fact that this question is easily testable, but i need to plan this for tomorrow and i don't have the means to test it now. I'm willing to lose the reputation if you are willing to help me out. Scenario: i got -iis wwwroot    - domainfolder (DynamicWeb Instalation)         - destinationfolder    - subdomain folder           default.aspx I need to know if i can make a fileupload in my Default.aspx, and do something like: fileUpload.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("../domainfolder/destinationfolder/") + filename) keep in mind that I will have full access to the windows server where the sites are hosted.

  • Dynamically update Font Size of application with a single trigger in WPF

    - by Sukan
I have an application which has different font sizes for different controls say Button: 10, TextBlock : 12 etc. I want to give options to the user where he can select any one of the below say Normal , Small, Big, Bigger. Suppose one selects "small" I would want to decrease every distinct font size by 2. If "Big", I would want to increase every font size by 2. I hope we can do this using converter sending actual font size as parameter and render as per the selected choice if I am not wrong. What will be the best option. Sorry if my doubt is absurd or silly. Thank you.

  • ASP.NET - Update progress while processing data

    - by Danny
Hope I can explain this correctly. I have a process, that outputs step by step messages (i.e., Processing item 1... Error in item 2 etc etc). I want this to be outputted to the user during the process, and not at the end. I pretty sure i need to do this with threading, but can't find a decent example. Thanks in advanced.

  • Building NDK app with Android ADT on Windows

    - by Michael Sh
While there are tons of information on the topic, there is no clear guide on how to compile C++ code in ADT. Is Cygwin is required? Where the build artifacts go? How to confogure the destination folder for the build package? Are there a debug and release versions? Is it possible to debug and step through the C++ code in ADT? Maybe it all is described in a single resource, then a link would be welcome!

  • TouchXML to read in twitter feed for iphone app

    - by Fiona
Hello there, So I've managed to get the feed from twitter and am attempting to parse it... I only require the following fields from the feed: name, description, time_zone and created_at I am successfully pulling out name and description.. however time_zone and created_at always are nil... The following is the code... Anyone see why this might not be working? -(void) friends_timeline_callback:(NSData *)data{ NSString *string = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; NSLog(@"Data from twitter: %@", string); NSMutableArray *res = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; CXMLDocument *doc = [[[CXMLDocument alloc] initWithData:data options:0 error:nil] autorelease]; NSArray *nodes = nil; //! searching for item nodes nodes = [doc nodesForXPath:@"/statuses/status/user" error:nil]; for (CXMLElement *node in nodes) { int counter; Contact *contact = [[Contact alloc] init]; for (counter = 0; counter < [node childCount]; counter++) { //pulling out name and description only for the minute!!! if ([[[node childAtIndex:counter] name] isEqual:@"name"]){ contact.name = [[node childAtIndex:counter] stringValue]; }else if ([[[node childAtIndex:counter] name] isEqual:@"description"]) { // common procedure: dictionary with keys/values from XML node if ([[node childAtIndex:counter] stringValue] == NULL){ contact.nextAction = @"No description"; }else{ contact.nextAction = [[node childAtIndex:counter] stringValue]; } }else if ([[[node childAtIndex:counter] name] isEqual:@"created_at"]){ contact.date == [[node childAtIndex:counter] stringValue]; }else if([[[node childAtIndex:counter] name] isEqual:@"time_zone"]){ contact.status == [[node childAtIndex:counter] stringValue]; [res addObject:contact]; [contact release]; } } } self.contactsArray = res; [res release]; [self.tableView reloadData]; } Thanks in advance for your help!! • Asynchronous database update in Django?

    - by Mark
I have a big form on my site. When the users fill it out and submit it, most of the data just gets dumped to the database, and then they get redirected to a new page. However, I'd also like to use the data to query another site, and then parse the results. That might take a bit longer. It's not essential that the user sees these results right away, so I was wondering if it's possible to asynchronously call a function that will handle this, and then return an HttpResponse from my view like usual without making them wait? If so... how? Any particular libraries I should look at?

  • iPhone app, navigationcontroller not functioning?

    - by dramaticlook
I have 4 tabs in a tab bar. In one of the tabs i want to use a navigation, i.e. when i click an item from the list it should go to some details page about it. I have the list page where i have the navigation bar and the list of items. I can scroll them, but when I click any of them the selection animation happens, console logs the true row value, it even prints log instructions from constructor of the Details page but I can not see the Details page showing up. (btw Xcode 3.2.6 with iOS 4.3) - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSString *rowValue = [myStrings objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; NSLog(rowValue); //[Utility setStr:rowValue]; [self.myTable deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:TRUE]; //DETAILS PAGE HERE!!!! RestViewController * rest= [[RestViewController alloc] init]; rest.scoreLabel.text = rowValue; [self.navigationController pushViewController:rest animated:TRUE]; [rest release]; } Anybody having any idea? Thanks in advance!!!

    I am using Urban Airship for Push notification. Its works like a charm but just found that its did not sending push notification when application is not running. How to handle this? I am sure its a common scenario and there will be a solution. I checked many posts in stack overflow but most of them are for iOS. I want for Android AirshipConfigOptions options = AirshipConfigOptions.loadDefaultOptions(this); UAirship.takeOff(this, options); Logger.logLevel = Log.VERBOSE; PushManager.shared().setIntentReceiver(IntentReceiver.class); PushManager.enablePush();
