    Getting "Expected ',' or '{' but found '#44559'" error. My code looks like this: var valueid = $("div#center-box div#empid-textbox input").val(); //valueid=44559 if($("div#esd-names li#" + valueid).length > 0){ //DO SOMETHING; }; I'm getting the value of what is entered into a textbox input field which in case is "44559" can't seem to figure out why I'm getting this error.

  • Change Titlewindow close button

    I'm working with Flex 3.4 SDK. I need to change the default close button image from a TitleWindow. So what I'm doing is defining a CSS selector, like this: TitleWindow{ close-button-skin: Embed('assets/close.png'); border-color: #FFFFFF; corner-radius: 10; closeButtonDisabledSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonDownSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonOverSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonUpSkin: ClassReference(null); } The problem is: the result image is totally squeezed beyond recognition. Probably because the image dimensions are 55x10 pixels (much wider than the default closebutton square-like dimensions) and flex forces it to fit that size. Would anyone know how to go about fixing that?

  • Prevent change of hidden field

    What if I have ChangePassword form with hidden ID field of the user. BadPerson knows id of GoodPerson. He opens Change Password form with FireBug, changes his Id to GoodPerson's Id, so password changes for GoodPerson. Of course I can create some server logic that will prevent this, but I think there should be some out of the box solution, wich throws if hidden field been changed, wich I don't know. Thank's in advance.

    In my C# app, even I handle exception : Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(UnhandledExceptionMode.CatchException); AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); and then in handler showing dialog box and doing Application.Exit still getting windows error reporting dialog with Send, Don't Dend...   • How do I make a SignalR client something when it receives a message?

    I want to do something when a client receives a message via a SignalR hub. I've put together a basic chat app, but want people to be able to "like" a chat comment. I'm thinking the way to do this is to find the chat message on the client's page and update it using javascript. In the meantime to "prove the concept" I just want to make an alert popup on the client machine to say another user likes the comment. Trouble is, I'm not sure where to put it. (Am struggling to find SignalR documentation to be honest.) can't get my head round what is calling what here.   • Performance differences between iframe hiding methods?

    Is there a major performance difference between the following: <iframe style="visibility:hidden" /> <iframe style="width:0px; height:0px; border:0px" /> I'm using a hidden iframe to pull down and parse some information from an external server. If the iframe actually attempts to render the page, this may suck up a lot of CPU cycles. Of course, I'd ideally just want to get the raw markup - for example, if I could prevent the iframe from loading img tags, that would be perfect.

  • Installing a rails plugin from a Git repository

    I've been trying to install Shoulda script/plugin install git://github.com/thoughtbot/shoulda.git but all I get is: removing: C:/Documents and Settings/Danny/My Documents/Projects/Ruby On Rails/_ProjectName_/vendor/plugins/shoulda/.git > And the vender/plugins directory is empty. I have Rails 2.1.1 installed as a gem and have verified that 2.1.1 is loaded (using a puts inserted into config/boot.rb). Any ideas about what's going on? (this is on a windows box)
