  • How do I use Openfire with OpenLDAP and ldap.clientSideSorting?

    The system log on my Openfire + OpenLDAP installation is getting flooded with this message: slap_global_control: unrecognized control: 1.2.840.113556.1.4.473 This means that Openfire wants OpenLDAP to do server-side sorting, which OpenLDAP doesn't support. The Openfire LDAP Guide advises to set the property ldap.clientSideSorting to true in this case. Unfortunately, Openfire doesn't find any user accounts in LDAP anymore if I do that. How do I make this work?

  • How do you manage private queue permissions on a windows server 2008 cluster?

    On windows server 2003 there was an option to allow a resource to interact with the desktop, this allowed you to run computer management mmc snap-in on the virtual name of the cluster, allowing you to manage permissions of the private message queues on the cluster. Windows Server 2008 failover clustering has removed that checkbox, so applications can no longer interact with the desktop. My question is then how does one go about managing private queue permissions on the clustered (the virtual name) server?

    hi , After installing iis6.0 metabase compatibility and iis6.0 console in the iis7.0 ,i am not able to create new virtual directory in Default website( which is marked with a small red mark). when i right click on" Default website",it generates following message box "there was an error while performing this operation...the application '/' does not exist." and i am working in the windows 2008 environment .can any one help me in getting back my old virtual directories in default website?

  • CentOS Server with WHM/cPanel control panel - email is not beeing sent out

    Hello, I'm running a small hosting VPS with CentOS and I have installed the WHM/cPanel control panel. The problem is that the email, either sent from the cPanel webmail or other client like Outlook does not get sent out with no visible error message on the client side.   • Fan Error on Lenovo R61

    Problem Since the last two days, my Lenovo R61 is giving me a "Fan Error" message during boot, after showing which, it powers down. It does so for 3-4 boot attempts, and after a bit of tapping and such human treatment, in the 6th or so attempt, it luckily starts. Question Why is this happening ? How do I fix it ? ( HTTP/1.1 USING CONNECT method ) I get error message like this, Status: Connecting to (ftp hostname) through proxy Status: Connecting to hostname:port...   • Is this a false positive by Avast?

    Avast keeps detecting the rootkit Win32:Evo-gen. I select to delete it, but when I restart the computer the message pops up again. The location is C:\Program Files(x86)\ASUS\AsusFanControlService\1.00.17\AsusFanControlService.exe this somewhat makes sense because I do have an Asus motherboard. Should I choose "ignore" and remember the selection or is it likely I do have a virus that is resisting deletion?

Increasingly I'm getting tables having to be repaired during the backup process with the message returned of: Auto-increment value: 0 is smaller than max used value: xx Is this being caused by corruption?
