  I am getting dynamic length of the string array and i want to display images in the imagebutton and that too in horizontal view as i had added button but it shows in the vertical layout.Please help. • [as3] Movieclip.width returns higher value than Movieclip stage on Width.

  I have a Movieclip on stage with nested movieclips inside. All referenced at 0,0. None of the child movieclips load any dynamic content, animate or have Masked Layers. It does have an input textfield in one of the child MCs. The parent MC shows 280 px width, while it returns 313 px with a .width trace. There is no code that alters the .width value of the parent MC at run-time. And the ParentMC on stage is not scaled (it is at 100% width/height). Any pointers, to what could be the reasons for the discrepancy in .width values on stage and on run-time? Its breaking the scaling code that follows.

  Hello, I have used Eclipse 3.4 to create a Dynamic Web Project. I have also configured my server to use port 8443 with ssl. If I start my server I can access my test.jsp by going to it's address https://localhost:8443/TestContext/test.jsp In eclipse, I have installed this server and added my project to the server. If I Run test.jsp it always launches as http://localhost:8080/TestContext/test.jsp My question is: How can I set up eclipse to run this on https://localhost:8443/ rather than the default 8080?   In my web application I am using ajax and now I'd like the back and forward browser buttons to work. • Spring / Hibernate project with Tomcat and JQuery.

  Hi, I have a Dynamic Web Project that implements Spring and Hibernate using a Tomcat Server (v6). I'm lauching Tomcat with my Eclipse Galileo and I'm not getting any errors in the console but Tomcat is rendering my webpages randomly. The page just keep loading but without displaying anything, there's nothing on the console either. When I go in debug mode, it goes throught the right steps, everything seems alright. When I display the source code on the web browser (Firefox latest build) it shows me the right code that is needed to display the page I called. What am I not getting here? Plus when I stop Tomcat, it renders a part of the page. I'm wondering if JQuery could be the problem? The thing is that it's a collaborative project and that the others managed to run the web application in the most alright way. Please, share your experience with me.

  I basically have a div on my site that always has the same stuff. However, this div is not present on all pages which is why I won't use the dynamic web template. I was wondering if it was possible for PHP to get the code from a document on the server and put in into the div? Ex: <div id="section... then my text file contains <p>hello</p> Basically I want PHP to put it into the div when the user sees it. If theres a smarter way of acheiving this I'd be open to it as well.   Hi, I asked this question earlier as well: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2773168/lnk2005-delete-already-defined-error-in-vc The answer I got was that I should be using dynamic version of DLLs. I did that and it compiled fine. Now, but when I gave the exe to one of my colleagues to run, they told me - they can't run it as it requires some shared dll, so they need a static one. When I try to do static build then I get the error as mentioned in my previous link. Do, I need to provide some other file as well with exe. I have got .lib file as well in the build directory. Shall I provide taht one as well? I can run it fine on my m/c in whichever directory I put it. Any help is much appreciated as I am really stuck. Thanks in advance, Suchita

  Hey Guys - I'm trying to find an easy way(without having to write any plugins or overrides to Rails) to generate an absolute url to a rails application being in a subdirectory. This url is going to be generated for theme images, not links, so I can't url link_to or url_for. Here's an example of what I want to do: <%= theme_image("delete_icon.png", :theme => "my_theme") %> If my app is running at http://localhost, This would return: <img src="/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> but If my app is running at http://localhost/myapp, This would return: <img src="/myapp/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> Can anyone point me in the right direction to generate a dynamic, absolute url to a non-routed resource?

The query is passed specified categories, each in the format xxxx|yyyy, and I need to return products having the passed category in its comma-delimited list of categories. The current query looks like: select p.* from products p where (p.categories like '%27|0%' or p.categories like '%972|1%' or p.categories like '%969|1%') But, the LIKE clause sometimes permits anomalies. I would like to write the query more like: select p.* from products p where (p.categories contains '27|0' or p.categories contains'972|1' or p.categories contains '969|1') How would I do this?

• Proper chart scaling in Reporting Services 2005

  I'm developing a simple bar-chart in Reporting Services 2005 with a stored procedure as data-source. The values in this graph can be both positive and negative, and can span a very big range, and hence I cannot specify any non-dynamic scale that will work for all scenarios. The problem I'm facing is that the automatic scaling pretty much sucks. I get no line to show where the zero-point is, and the y-scale labels are from top to bottom: 8818 -191181 -391181 etc etc... So my question is, what is the best approach to make the scale more adapted to human reading? Is there any guide out there? Does reporting services 2008 handle this better? Also, moving away from Reporting Services is not really an option. I realize how to put values and expression in the max, min, and the gridline interval fields, although its more of a question what expressions I should put there.

  The problem: I am unable to use OutputCaching with my controls which derives from MyCustomControl. Controls are loaded dynamically using definitions from database with Page.LoadControl method. When I add to ascx <%@ OutputCache VaryByParam="*" Duration="3600"% the "InvalidCastException: System.Web.UI.PartialCachingControl - MyCustomControl" exception is thrown. I am unable to modify assembly witch contains dynamic loading controls logic. Is there any way to fix it in derived controls? The second question is about iis7 and native output caching - is it resolves this problem? (I tried to set up several performance counters and I saw that cache wasn't hit...)

• Need to include #anchor after querystring list

  Hello, Form is 'get' to a API which operates off of querystring. One of the parameters is a PackageID which indicates a vacation package. In order for the packageID to appear I also need to append '#packages' to the end of the get request. Since not all form 'get' have a package I need this to be dynamic. I've tried adding a hidden field with '#packages' as the value - however the '#' is automatically encoded and therefore not registered when the server grabs the URL. What would be the best way for me to dynamically include '#packages' as it appears in the querystring via javascript? Thanks!

  What is the 'best practice' when returning dynamic data for a table (server side sorting, filtering etc from a db) ? Do you return just the data in json, and repeatedly clone a row element, replacing the values in each row (thus decreasing the size of the ajax call, but increasing the client side processing), or return the full html, and replace with .html or .append? Or is there another method I'm missing? This is a frequent situation in my app, and in some cases a bottleneck, and I am unsure if what I am doing is the best solution. Currently, I return the row html and use a single .append call, after emptying all the rows except the header.

  Hi, We have a web application that creates a dynamic PHP page with all the MySQL stored details a user has entered via a number a forms. So far so good, but we want this information stored some how to be refereed to at a later date, as an administrator can make changes to the data, which reflects on calculations that are worked out from this saved data. When going back over this saved data we need to be able to see all the information submitted for that particular calculation, so if that data has changed we will see what is was relating to that calculation. Now we have thought about maybe a snapshot when the calculation is done, pdf of the webpage or something similar would do, but is this simple to do? I hope this makes sense...
