• ListView not firing OnItemCommand after preventing postback

    - by nevizi
    Hi there, I have a ListView inside a FormView that, for some strange reason, doesn't fire neither the ItemInsert nor the ItemCommand event. I'm populating the ListView with a generic list. I bind the list to the ListView on the OnPreRenderComplete. <asp:ListView runat="server" ID="lvReferences" DataKeyNames="idReference" OnItemInserting="ContractReferences_Inserting" OnItemDeleting="ContractReferences_Deleting" InsertItemPosition="LastItem" OnItemCommand="ContractReferences_Command" OnItemCreated="ContractReferences_ItemDataBound"> <LayoutTemplate>
<asp:PlaceHolder ID="itemPlaceholder" runat="server" />
</LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" Text='<%#Bind("idProcessRecordRef") %>' /> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" Text='<%#Bind("description") %>' /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDelete" runat="server" CommandName="Delete" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/eliminar.png" />
</ItemTemplate> <InsertItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="valRef" runat="server" Width="5px" Enabled="false" /> <asp:TextBox id="txtRef" runat="server" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btDetail" CausesValidation="false" OnClientClick="javascript:openPopup();return false;" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/novo.png" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btSaveDs" runat="server" CommmandName="Insert" CausesValidation="false" ImageUrl="~/_layouts/web.commons/Images/gravarObs.png" />
</InsertItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> My ItemDataBound method is: protected void ContractReferences_ItemDataBound(object sender, ListViewItemEventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { TextBox valRef = e.Item.FindControl("valRef") as TextBox; TextBox txtRef = e.Item.FindControl("txtRef") as TextBox; ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(this, this.GetType(), "popup", "function openPopup(){ window.open('ContractPicker.aspx?c1=" + valRef.ClientID + "&c2=" + txtRef.ClientID + "');}", true); } } So, basically, in the InsertItemTemplate I put a button that opens a LOV and populates my valRef and txtRef fields. I had to put a "return false" in order for the parent page to not postback (and I think the problem lies here...). Then, when I click in the ImageButton with the CommandName="Insert", instead of firing the ItemCommand event, it enters once again in the ItemDataBound handler. So, any ideas? Thanks!

  • DataBinding: 'System.String' does not contain a property with the name 'dbMake'.

    - by marcmiki
    Hi , i am a newbie at ASP.net and after using sqldatasource with a listview to insert and show results from an SQL server db i want to try using the LINQ datasource since it seems to be more flexible in codebehind. My problem is this: i droped a listview control to the page and i created the Linq datasource in codebehind with vb. the issue that i am having when i ..Select d.columms name i get the error system.string does not contain a property with the name "columname".. if i ommit the column name then its works fine.. the funny part is the d.count works fine but after that i get the error.. please see my code below: vb code Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim rowsCount As Integer Dim showSearchForm As String showSearchForm = Request.QueryString("tab") If showSearchForm = "1" Then Dim db As New ASPNETDBDataContext() Dim q = From b In db.PassengerVehiclesTables Select b.dbMake rowsCount = q.Count MsgBox(rowsCount) lvMakes.DataSource = q lvMakes.DataBind() PnlPassengerVehiclesSearch.Visible = True ElseIf showSearchForm = "2" Then aspx code <asp:Panel ID="PnlPassengerVehiclesSearch" Visible="false" runat="server"> Search Passenger Vehicles Form.....

<asp:ListView ID="lvMakes" runat="server"> <LayoutTemplate> <asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" ID="itemPlaceholder" /> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <%#Eval("dbMake")%>
</ItemTemplate> </asp:ListView>
b.dbMake needs to work so that i can use Distinct ,, ia m using asp.net version:3.5 and IIS version 7.0 .. not sure what i am missing ,, but i did try alot of approaches,,1- checked the web.config file and it seems to have two assemblies and two namespaces for LINQ..2- used different databinding syntaxs,,and i searched a lot for the solution.. the last one i read the person ommited the name of the column,, i thought that wasnt the best solution.. also my dbMake column is comming up in the "intellisence" .. thank you in advance for your help..

  • TortoiseSVN overlay icons do not appear when installed by a different user account?

    - by Camsoft
    I've installed TortoiseSVN on my work Windows XP machine as the administrator. When I login in as a standard user my working copies do not display the overlay icons in Windows Explorer. I found this on TortoiseSVN's support pages: Did you install TortoiseSVN as a different user under WinNT/Win2K/WinXP than you are using now? Go to the settings of TSVN and activate the icon overlays for at least the fixed drives. The installer does this automatically for the current user (can't do it for other users...) but since you are using TSVN as a different user than you installed it you need to set this manually. http://tortoisesvn.net/node/97 I've checked the settings for overlay icons for the current user and the options Local and Network drives are checked. I've tried even toggling them off, applying, then on again and applying, then restarting but they still don't appear. I'm unable to install TortoiseSVN on the current user hence why I logged into the admin account. Any ideas?

  • How I can add JScroll bar to NavigableImagePanel which is an Image panel with an small navigation vi

    - by Sarah Kho
    Hi, I have the following NavigableImagePanel, it is under BSD license and I found it in the web. What I want to do with this panel is as follow: I want to add a JScrollPane to it in order to show images in their full size and let the users to re-center the image using the small navigation panel. Right now, the panel resize the images to fit them in the current panel size. I want it to load the image in its real size and let users to navigate to different parts of the image using the navigation panel. • Android mapView ItemizedOverlay setFocus does not work properly

    - by Gaks
    Calling setFocus(null) on the ItemizedOverlay does not 'unfocus' current marker. According to the documentation: ... If the Item is not found, this is a no-op. You can also pass null to remove focus. Here's my code: MapItemizedOverlay public class MapItemizedOverlay extends ItemizedOverlay<OverlayItem> { private ArrayList<OverlayItem> items = new ArrayList<OverlayItem>(); public MapItemizedOverlay(Drawable defaultMarker) { super(defaultMarker); } public void addOverlay(OverlayItem overlay) { items.add(overlay); populate(); } @Override protected OverlayItem createItem(int i) { return items.get(i); } @Override public int size() { return items.size(); } } Creating map overlay and one marker: StateListDrawable youIcon = (StateListDrawable)getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.marker_icon); int width = youIcon.getIntrinsicWidth(); int height = youIcon.getIntrinsicHeight(); youIcon.setBounds(-13, 0-height, -13+width, 0); GeoPoint location = new GeoPoint(40800816,-74122009); MapItemizedOverlay overlay = new MapItemizedOverlay(youIcon); OverlayItem item = new OverlayItem(location, "title", "snippet"); overlay.addOverlay(item); mapView.getOverlays().add(overlay); The R.drawable.marker_icon is defined as follows: <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

</selector> Now, to test the setFocus() behavior I put the button on the activity window, with the following onClick listener: Button focusBtn = (Button)findViewById(R.id.focusbtn); focusBtn.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { for(Overlay ov : mapView.getOverlays()) { if(ov.getClass().getSimpleName().equals("MapItemizedOverlay") == true) { MapItemizedOverlay miv = (MapItemizedOverlay)ov; if(miv.getFocus() == null) miv.setFocus(miv.getItem(0)); else miv.setFocus(null); break; } } mapView.invalidate(); } }); The expected behavior is: clicking on the button toggles marker selection. It works only once - clicking it for the first time selects the marker, clicking it again does not de-select the marker. The most weird thing about it is that after calling setFocus(null), getFocus() also returns null - like the overlay has no focused item (I debugged it). But even after calling mapView.invalidate() the marker is still drawn in 'selected'(focused) state.

  • VBA to C# - Porting Userforms to Winforms?

    - by John M
    I am porting a Excel-VBA based app which uses Userforms over to a C# Winforms application. How do I convert the Height and Width of the VBA-Userform to the same screen dimensions in the C#-Winforms application? Is there a ratio that can use be used? Currently the VBA-Userform has a dimension of 179.25 W x 245.25 H which is optimized for use on a quarter-VGA device.

  • JSF a4j:commandButton not working when 'disabled' is set

    - by Jon
    Hello, When I include a 'disabled' attribute on an a4j:commandButton, the button's action is not performed. Taking the 'disabled' attribute out causes it to work properly. I am not doing any special validation (that I'm aware of) and am not seeing any validation error messages. Here is part of my page: <t:dataTable id="myTable" var="region" value="#{MyPageBackingBean.regions}" width="100%"> ... <a4j:commandButton value="Update" action="#{region.doUpdate}" oncomplete="alert('done');" disabled="#{!empty region && region.messageEmpty}" immediate="true"/> ... </t:dataTable> Any ideas? Thanks! Edit: I tried setting preserveDataModel="true" on the t:dataTable to no avail. I also made a test having an a4j:commandButton and text box with no data table, but the backing bean action is still not being fired: <h:form> <a4j:region> <a4j:outputPanel id="testregion"> <h:messages id="messages"/> <a4j:status> <f:facet name="start"> <h:graphicImage value="/images/progress_indicator.gif"/> </f:facet> </a4j:status> <h:inputTextarea rows="5" value="#{MyPageBackingBean.myValue}" style="width:100%; border: 1px solid #99CCFF;"> <a4j:support event="onkeyup" reRender="testregion" eventsQueue="messageModificationQueue" ignoreDupResponses="true" requestDelay="500"/> </h:inputTextarea> <a4j:commandButton id="doDelete" value="Delete" action="#{MyPageBackingBean.dummy}" reRender="testregion" disabled="#{empty MyPageBackingBean.myValue}"/> <h:outputText value="#{MyPageBackingBean.myValue}"/> </a4j:outputPanel> </a4j:region> </h:form> Here is the new backing bean code used for testing: private String m_myValue = null; public String getMyValue() { return m_myValue; } public void setMyValue(String value) { m_myValue = value; } private String mystr2 = null; public String dummy() { mystr2 = "hello"; return null; } Thanks!

  • Layout in SmartGWT

    - by sarav
    How to place a control at the center of a canvas? I have a main VLayout set to 100%width and 100% haight. I want to place a grid at the center of this layout, meaning at the center of the browser' viewport. How to do that with smartGWT layouts? setLayoutAlign(Alignment.CENTER) This places the controls center to the layout's breadth axis. But if I nest HLayout and VLayout it is not giving desired result.

  • Databinding to ObservableCollection in a different UserControl?

    - by Dave
    Question re-written on 2010-03-24 I have two UserControls, where one is a dialog that has a TabControl, and the other is one that appears within said TabControl. I'll just call them CandyDialog and CandyNameViewer for simplicity's sake. There's also a data management class called Tracker that manages information storage, which for all intents and purposes just exposes a public property that is an ObservableCollection. I display the CandyNameViewer in CandyDialog via code behind, like this: private void CandyDialog_Loaded( object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { _candyviewer = new CandyViewer(); _candyviewer.DataContext = _tracker; candy_tab.Content = _candyviewer; } The CandyViewer's XAML looks like this (edited for kaxaml): <Page xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"> <Page.Resources> <DataTemplate x:Key="CandyItemTemplate"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="120"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="150"></ColumnDefinition> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBox Grid.Column="0" Text="{Binding CandyName}" Margin="3"></TextBox> <ComboBox Grid.Column="1" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedCandy, Mode=TwoWay}" ItemsSource="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type UserControl}}, Path=DataContext.CandyNames}" Margin="3"></ComboBox> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </Page.Resources> <Grid> <ListBox DockPanel.Dock="Top" ItemsSource="{Binding CandyBoxContents, Mode=TwoWay}" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource CandyItemTemplate}" /> </Grid> </Page> Now everything works fine when the controls are loaded. As long as CandyNames is populated first, and then the consumer UserControl is displayed, all of the names are there. I obviously don't get any errors in the Output Window or anything like that. The issue I have is that when the ObservableCollection is modified from the model, those changes are not reflected in the consumer UserControl! I've never had this problem before; all of my previous uses of ObservableCollection updated fine, although in those cases I wasn't databinding across assemblies. Although I am currently only adding and removing candy names to/from the ObservableCollection, at a later date I will likely also allow renaming from the model side. Is there something I did wrong? Is there a good way to actually debug this? Reed Copsey indicates here that inter-UserControl databinding is possible. Unfortunately, my favorite Bea Stollnitz article on WPF databinding debugging doesn't suggest anything that I could use for this particular problem.

  • Datatemplates while using theme does not work - WPF

    - by bobjink
    I am using the theme DarkExpression from WPF Futures. It does not seem to work well with datatemplates. Scenario 1: Here is how it looks like without datatemplates: Pic 1 Code: <ListView Name="playlistListView" ItemsSource="{Binding PlaylistList}" Margin="0" SelectionChanged="DatabindedPlaylistListView_SelectionChanged" Background="{x:Null}" Opacity="0.98"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Name}"> <GridViewColumnHeader HorizontalContentAlignment="Left" Content="Playlist" Tag="Playlist"/> </GridViewColumn> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> Scenario 2: Here is how it looks like trying to use datatemplates while using the theme: Pic 2 Code: <ListView Name="playlistListView" ItemsSource="{Binding PlaylistList}" Margin="0" SelectionChanged="DatabindedPlaylistListView_SelectionChanged" Background="{x:Null}" Opacity="0.98"> <ListView.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <UserControls:SongDataTemplate Margin="4" /> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListView.ItemTemplate> </ListView> Scenario 3: Here is how it looks like trying to use datatemplates while overriding the theme: Pic3 Code: <UserControl.Resources>  </UserControl.Resources> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <ListView Name="playlistListView" ItemContainerStyle="{StaticResource ListViewItemStretch}" ItemsSource="{Binding PlaylistList}" Margin="0" SelectionChanged="DatabindedPlaylistListView_SelectionChanged" Background="{x:Null}" Opacity="0.98"> <ListView.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <UserControls:SongDataTemplate Margin="4" /> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListView.ItemTemplate> </ListView> I want to keep the theme style but I also want to use datatemplates to define how a playlist should look like. Any suggestions? Note: In scenario 2 and 3 I had to remove <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Name}"> <GridViewColumnHeader HorizontalContentAlignment="Left" Content="Playlist" Tag="Playlist"/> </GridViewColumn> </GridView> </ListView.View> Before the datatemplate would be used.

  • Attaching .swf assets to Flex3 by calling getDefinitionByName()

    - by Alexander Farber
    Hello! Does anybody please know, how could you attach symbols from an .swf file in the Actionscript part of your Flex3 file? I've prepared a simple test case demonstrating my problem. Everything works (there are icons at the 4 buttons, there is a red circle) - except the getDefinitionByName() part. My target is to attach a symbol from library "dynamically" - i.e. depending at the value of the suit variable at the runtime. Thank you, Alex Symbols.as: package { public class Symbols { [Embed('../assets/symbols.swf', symbol='spades')] public static const SPADES:Class; [Embed('../assets/symbols.swf', symbol='clubs')] public static const CLUBS:Class; [Embed('../assets/symbols.swf', symbol='diamonds')] public static const DIAMONDS:Class; [Embed('../assets/symbols.swf', symbol='hearts')] public static const HEARTS:Class; } } TestCase.mxml:  <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" creationComplete="onCreationComplete();"> <mx:Script>  private function onCreationComplete():void { var sprite:Sprite = new Sprite(); var g:Graphics = sprite.graphics; g.lineStyle(1, 0xFF0000); g.beginFill(0xFF0000); g.drawCircle(100, 100, 20); g.endFill(); spriteHolder.addChild(sprite); // XXX stuff below not working, can it be fixed? var suit:String = "SPADES"; var mc:MovieClip = new (getDefinitionByName("Symbols.SPADES") as Class); spriteHolder.addChild(mc); }  </mx:Script> <mx:VBox width="100%"> <mx:Button label="1" icon="{Symbols.SPADES}" /> <mx:Button label="2" icon="{Symbols.CLUBS}" /> <mx:Button label="3" icon="{Symbols.DIAMONDS}" /> <mx:Button label="4" icon="{Symbols.HEARTS}" /> <mx:UIComponent id="spriteHolder" width="200" height="200"/> </mx:VBox> </mx:Application>

  • w2k3 chkdsk errors as vmware 1.8 guest

    - by Sean Kirkpatrick
    We have two Dell servers (CentOS 5.x) hosting a variety of VMs including 3 W2K3 and 1 W2K servers as guests as well as a handful of other Linux guests. Each Windows VM has 2 drives, C: and D:. on 2 of the W2K3 and the W2K boxes we have recurring errors appearing on a daily basis as reported by CHKDSK. We'll run CHKDSK /f and reboot all affected machines and the errors are reported as fixed. The next day CHKDSK will report the same errors. None of the linux guests nor either host report errors when the are rebooted. The RAID controllers are not reporting errors. We're beginning to think that these are phantom errors somehow, but I'm not willing to go to the bank on that just yet. Anybody have similar experiences or advice? Thanks! Sean

  • Can't figure out error in Cisco ASA log "regular translation creation failed for icmp ..."

    - by Martijn Heemels
    Every few seconds our new Cisco ASA 5505 firewall is logging errors that I can't figure out with my limited Cisco experience. Severity Date Time Syslog ID Source IP Destination IP Description 3 Mar 25 2010 17:21:14 305006 8.8.8.8 regular translation creation failed for icmp src inside:10.10.0.200 dst outside:8.8.8.8 (type 3, code 3) 3 Mar 25 2010 17:18:37 305006 8.8.4.4 regular translation creation failed for icmp src inside:10.10.0.200 dst outside:8.8.4.4 (type 3, code 3) The logged inside IP is our internal DNS resolver, and the outside IP's are Google's public DNS servers. ICMP Type 3 Code 3 means "Port Unreachable" Our "outside" interface has a fixed IP and our "inside" interface is in the 10.10.0.0/16 subnet. The 'Inspect DNS' Service Policy is enabled, with the preset DNS inspection map. Furthermore there's an ACL that allows all inbound ICMP on the "outside" interface. I've spent hours trying to figure this one out, so any and all advice is welcome!

  • SQL 2008 Database tuning advisor won’t start

    - by Andrew Hancox
    For some reason I can't get DTA to connect to my development machine. It connects to a remote DB just fine but when I point it to my dev machine I get an error saying: Failed to initialize MSDB database for tuning (exit code: -1073741819). I'm pretty sure it's not a permissions issue since I've used profiler to capture what it's doing and all of the commands it's run so far look fine and are being run under my account which is associated with the sysadmin role, when I run them in sql management studio they go through fine. I'm pretty convinced that the problem is related to creating the objects in MSDB that are used by DTA but I tried creating these manually (I found scripts on the web) and it just seems to push the problem along the line slightly. I'm going out of my mind - have even tried reinstalling SQL but that's not fixed it. I'm using SQL 2008 with SP1 (10.0.2531) on windows server 2008 (patched up to date). SAVE ME!!!!!
