Firefox reports that there's another running instance of firefox which stops responding. Thus, firefox could not autostart as I expected.   Is there any possibility to display selected item of the ComboBox (after popup closing) in a way that is different from its displaying in DropDown List (There are players number and name in the dropdown list, but after list closing I want to see only its number). How can I change a background for the player with some Flag? As far as I know, all of that can be done with triggers, but are they supported in Silverlight 4, VS2010, Silverlight Toolkit 4? • ASP.NET: images broken when combining URL Rewriting, asp:ImageButton and html base tag

  Hi, I'm using URL Rewriting under ASP.NET 4 (using ISAPI_Rewrite) and I'm finding that that some of my images are not loading as .NET does not seem to understand I'm using an html BASE tag (pretty standard and essential when doing URL Rewriting): eg in my development environment I have: <base href='http://localhost/venuefinder/Website/'></base> and on my pages I have: <asp:ImageButton runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/button.gif" /> On the home page of the site (http://localhost/venuefinder/Website/) this works fine, however on a page that uses URL rewriting, the image does not work: /venuefinder/Website/venues/ashton_gate_stadium/V18639/ ..as the browser is trying to load: http://localhost/images/buttons/search-button.gif instead of: http://localhost/venuefinder/Website/venues/images/buttons/search-button.gif This is happening because .NET is rendering the button as: src="../../../images/buttons/search-button.gif" ...which is incorrect. Is there any way I can correct this problem so that .NET renders the correct src attribute for the image? (without all the ../../../ etc)

• Why doesn't jquery .load() load a text file from an external website?

  In the example below, when I click the button, it says "Load was performed" but no text is shown. I have a clientaccesspolicy.xml in the root directory and am able to asynchronously load the same file from silverlight. So I would think I should be able to access from AJAX as well.   This is JavaScript regex. regex = /(http:\/\/[^\s]*)/g; text = "I have http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd and I like http://google.com a lot"; matches = text.match(regex); console.log(matches); I get both the urls in the result. However I want to eliminate all the urls ending with .dtd . How do I do that? Note that I am saying ending with .dtd should be removed. It means a url like http://a.dtd.google.com should pass .

  I want to make my system redirect unknown requests such as www.address.com/a_company to the adress www.address.com/companies/company/ and display the company a_company if it exists in the database, otherwise throw the user to a 404 not found page. So in detail, I want to make namespace that is as the first example dynamically, if the company exist in the database, I have no problem connecting to the database and retrieving information or finding a way to parse a company name, I just need help how to make my system check and run a function every time the address doesn't exist and show the second page (/companies/company/).. I am using an Acl as well, but I think it should be fine if the page is /companies/company and then possibly add /?c=a_company or similar. Thank you. /Marcus

• No styles / images on asp.Net MVC 2 application

  Greetings i have a little problem with my ASP MVC application. On my local development server everything works just fine but when i try to publish the application to an IIS 7.0 server it just displays plain pages without any styles / markups / images. I put all those things in the /Content/ subfolder but when i try to access that folder on the production server it just returns me a 404 not found error. I set the IIS server up with .Net 4.0 and followed the deployment guide on here: http://www.asp.net/learn/mvc/tutorial-08-cs.aspx All views / controllers / classes seem to work just fine, the only thing which does not is the content subfolder and i cant see why. Anyone got a suggestion what i could have overlooked or does anyone know that problem?

  I have two areas: ControlPanel and Patients. Both have a controller called ProblemsController that are similar in name only. The desired results would be routes that yield /controlpanel/problems = MyApp.Areas.ControlPanel.Controllers.ProblemsController and /patients/problems = MyApp.Areas.Patients.Controllers.ProblemsController. Each has routes configured like this: public override void RegisterArea(AreaRegistrationContext context) { context.MapRoute( "**Area Name Here**_default", "**Area Name Here**/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } ); } where **Area Name Here** is either ControlPanel or Patients. When I go to /patients/problems/create (for example), I get a 404 where the routing error says: A public action method 'create' was not found on controller 'MyApp.Areas.ControlPanel.Controllers.ProblemsController'. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

  I want to use JAX-RS REST services as a back-end for a web application used directly by humans with browsers. Since humans make mistakes from time to time I want to validate the form input and redisplay the form with validation message, if something wrong was entered. By default JAX-RS sends a 400 or 404 status code if not all or wrong values were send. Say for example the user entered a "xyz" in the form field "count": @POST public void create(@FormParam("count") int count) { ... } JAX-RS could not convert "xyz" to int and returns "400 Bad Request". How can I tell the user that he entered an illegal value into the field "count"? Is there something more convenient than using Strings everywhere and perform conversation by hand?

  Is there a mechanism, or any additional tools that I can make use of to bulk import 301 redirect rules into an IIS6.0 web application? I want to be able to 301 redirect some old .htm pages to their new home on a CMS to ensure the current search index entries resolve OK and don't 404, but there are roughly ~50 pages. The only way I've found to achieve this is to create dummy .htm files and then right click on the file-File tab-Redirect to a URL radio button within the IIS MMC snapin, which is a little laborious over the number of pages.   When I do a release of my project, I want to share the source with a wider group of people than I normally do during development. The code is shared via a Git repository. To do this, I have used the following: remote public repository - released code is pushed here, every week or so (http://example.com/public) remote private repository - non-release code is pushed here, more than daily (http://example.com/private) In my local git repository, I have the following remotes defined: origin http://example.com/private public http://example.com/public I am currently trying to configure the maven-release-plugin to manage versioning of the builds, and to manage tagging and pushing of code to the public repository. In my pom.xml, I have listed the <scm/ as follows: <scm><connection>scm:git:http://example.com/public</connection></scm> (Removing this line will cause mvn release:prepare to fail) However, when calling mvn release:clean release:prepare release:perform Maven calls git push origin tagname rather than pushing to the URL specified in the POM. So the questions are: Best practice: Should I just be tagging and committing in my private repo (origin), and pushing to public manually? Can I make Maven push to the repository that I choose, rather than defaulting to origin? I felt this was implied by the requirement of the <connection/ element in <scm/.

  I used Passenger to deploy a RoR app to a sub URI on my domain. The problem I'm facing is that the sub URI seems to be case sensitive. Navigating to http://mydomain.com/RailsApp resolves fine. However, if I go to http://mydomain.com/railsapp, http://mydomain.com/railsApp, or any other variation, I get a 404 error. How can these requests using different casings get resolved correctly? I've created a very simple gadget to do this, and put the source below. My hope is that this might provide a foundation on which community members with better ideas for performing this function, or ideas for enhancing it, can update it. Perhaps we could make it configurable to search via a site scope search from Google and / or a question search, for instance. • django urlconf or .htaccess trouble

  Hello I am running my django project from subfolder of a website. Lets say the address where my project is meant to open from is. http://example.com/myproject/ the myproject folder is root folder for my user account. In that folder i have fcgi script that starts my project. The .htaccess file in the folder contains this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ mysite.fcgi/$1 [QSA,L] The trouble is, that at some cases, instead of redireting user to page like http://example.com/myproject/social/someurl/ it redirects to http://example.com/social/someurl/ which does not work. What i want to know is how to fix this problem. Is this django problem and i should change it with urconf and add myproject to all urls, or should i do this with .htaccess?   I'm trying to implement an RSS Feeder in python using PyRSS2Gen and it created an XML file. Now in jQuery I'm using Google Ajax API's RSS reader and trying to read it. I get an error saying something is wrong. I'm unable to figure out the issue. I've checked some documentation but not able to get it.
