  • implement alphabetical scroll in MPMediaPickerController app

    If you go to the iphone library and then go to songs, you will see the songs being displayed in a similar way to the MPMediaItemPicker class does. The only difference is that the ipod application shows the search bar right at the top of the list and also a nice alphabetical scroll on the right hand side whereas the MPMediaItemPicker class only isplays a simple scroll going up and down. How can i implement an alphabetical scroll on the right in the MPMediaItemPicker class? Can someone please help me.

  • Change table view ( tableview style grouped ) background color ?

    Hi all, I am developing an iPad application in which I need a table view ( style grouped ) having background color as clearColor. My problem is [self.tableView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor clearColor]]; works well if the table view style is plain but when I switch to group table view the background color does not changes it stays gray in color. FYI: the contentview background color of tableviewcell also does not change. Is this a bug in iPhone-sdk or I am doing something wrong. Thanks, Madhup

I have made setting regarding orientation in info.plist [ UISupportedInterfaceOrientations~ipad ] to support all orientation UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait , UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown , UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft , UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight. but when I start IPad application in the landscape mode, it always start in the potrait mode.     In my Xcode project's plist file, I can see the value for the key CFBundleIdentifier is: com.mycompany.${PRODUCT_NAME:rfc1034identifier} Obviously I will have to change com.mycompany to the domain name of my company, but I have no idea whether the rfc1034identifier should be removed so that it becomes: com.mycompany.${PRODUCT_NAME} Google did not help answering my question. Does this rfc1034identifier affect the AppID that I should provide in the iPhone Developer program - Provisioning Portal?

I have UITable and model view that include some text field.It takes username from model view and search this in internet and gets some images from internet.It takes data but when model view disappears app exits.and gives that error.When model views close it runs my method and gets value.But it exits from app.

    So I'm using RegexKitLite in my iPhone app, and I'm basically grabbing out a bunch of URLs and names from within a web page. The problem is that whenever it comes across a URL with URL encoded characters like %22 for a double quote or %27 for a single quote, the captured string basically gives me a jumbled overflowed string, containing garbage and even method names. I'm really not doing anything particularly special within the regex, just your basic "startdelimiter(.*)enddelimiter" regex.

    Hi, I'm writing up an iPhone app using the Google Maps API V3, and I was wondering if it is still possible the use the stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString function in the (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView function? A simple example being changing the map type (Assuming basic map setup): - (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView{ [webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:@"map.setMapTypeId(google.maps.MapTypeId.SATELLITE);"];} This was very possible the the 2.0 API, but I can't seem to get it right in the 3.0 API.     Hi all, I've got a core data-based app for iPhone and I'm getting the following warning: objc[2472]: Class Property is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Notes.framework/Notes and /var/mobile/Applications/B69194FF-448F-48AD-A78D-DDB8935F/AmcCalc.app/AmcCalc. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined. When I started working on this app back with SDK 3.0 I didn't get this error, so how do I deal with this? Thanks! Bjorn

    Is there any reason why you shouldn't use the "-std=c99" flag for compiling Objective-C programs on Mac? The one feature in C99 that I really like is the ability to declare variables anywhere in code, rather than just at the top of methods, but does this flag causes any problems or create incompatibilities for iPhone or Cocoa apps?

    I try to send an specific iPad Application to iTunes connect before March 27 and as Apple says: "Only iPad apps compiled with iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 will be accepted for this initial review." So I compiled my application with iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 with a distribution provisioning profile. But when I upload my application on iTunes Connect, I have the following error: "The binary you uploaded was invalid. A pre-release beta version of the SDK was used to build the application" For sure, it's the beta 5 ! Have you got an idea? Thank you in advance. Fred

  • MPMoviePlayerController doesn't implement MPMediaPlayback protocal as advertised?

    I'm trying to use the MPMediaPlayback protocol's currentPlaybackRate() to slow down a video. I'm confused though as the class MPMoviePlayerController states that: You can control most aspects of playback programmatically using the methods and properties of the MPMediaPlayback protocol, to which this class conforms. Except just above in the header here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/MediaPlayer/Reference/MPMoviePlayerController_Class/MPMoviePlayerController/MPMoviePlayerController.html it doesn't seem to. All I want to do is slow down the playback rate for a video.

  • Special Characters from SQLite DB

    Hi, I read from a sqlite db to my iphone app. Within the texts sometimes there are special characters like 'xf2' or 'xe0' as I can see in the debugger in the char* data type. When I try to transform the chars to an NSString Object by using initWithUTF8String, I get a nil back. How can I transform such special characters? Thanks for your help. Bye Matthias
