  • Core data, sorting one-to-many child objects

    So if I have a store of parents children and the parent has a one to many relationship to children (parent.children) and they all have first names. Now, on the initial fetch for parents I can specify a sort descriptor to get them back in order of first name but how can I request the children in order? If I do a [parent.children allObjects] it just gives them back in a jumble and I'd have to sort after the fact, every time. Thanks, Sam

I descided to change the user structure - I add an array of Warehouse object. Since that time, when UserResolver.Current executed (after Login), HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated was false and I couldn't get the user data. When I removed the Warehouse[] from user structure, it starts to be ok again and HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated become true after I Login. What is the reason to this weird behaviour?

  • How to store UISegmentedControle state in NSUserdefaults

    The problem is when de selectedSegmentIndex is unselected: "UISegmentedControlNoSegment" alias "-1". The other states (0, 1, 2 , etc.), I can store as Integers and retrieve with carTypeSegmentedControl.selectedSegmentIndex = [defaults integerForKey:@"typeOfCar"]; But -1 is no NSInteger. I also tried to remove the Integer out of the NSUserdefaults but a request would return an "0", which is not acceptable. So, is there another easy way? tnx for reading

    I have a groovy/grails application that needs to serve images It works fine on my dev box, the image is returned properly. Here's the start of the returned JPEG, as seen by od -cx 0000000 377 330 377 340 \0 020 J F I F \0 001 001 001 001 , d8ff e0ff 1000 464a 4649 0100 0101 2c01 but on the production box, there's some garbage in front, and the d8ff e0ff before the 1000 is missing 0000000 ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** \0 020 J F bfef efbd bdbf bfef efbd bdbf 1000 464a 0000020 I F \0 001 001 001 \0 H \0 H \0 \0 ? ** ** ? 4649 0100 0101 4800 4800 0000 bfef efbd It's the exact same code. I just moved the .war over and run it on a different machine. (Isn't Java supposed to be write once, run everywhere?) Any ideas? An "encoding" problem? The code is sent to the response like this: response.contentType = "image/jpeg"; response.outputStream << out; Here's the code that locates the image on an internal application server and re-serves the image. I've pared down the code a bit to remove the error handling, etc, to make it easier to read. def show = { def address = "http://internal.application.server:9899/img?photoid=${params.id}" def out = new ByteArrayOutputStream() out << new URL(address).openStream() response.contentLength = out.size(); // XXX If you don't do this hack, "head" requests won't work! if (request.method == 'HEAD') { render( text : "", contentType : "image/jpeg" ); } else { response.contentType = "image/jpeg"; response.outputStream << out; } } Update: I tried setting the CharacterEncoding response.setCharacterEncoding("ISO-8859-1"); if (request.method == 'HEAD') { render( text : "", contentType : "image/jpeg" ); } else { response.contentType = "image/jpeg;charset=ISO-8859-1"; response.outputStream << out; } but it made no difference in the output. On my production machine, the binary bytes in the image are re-encoded/escaped as if they were UTF-8 (see Michael's explanation below). It works fine on my development machine.

    The following .htaccess file does not work: SSLrequireSSL RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^secure\.neuralfutures\.com [NC] RewriteRule (.*) - [F] I'm trying to prevent access to anything but "https://secure.neuralfutures.com/docs/", i.e. "https://www.neuralfutures.com/docs/" will fail. I also seem to be running into caching issues: if I upload the new .htaccess with CuteFTP, then do a file refresh in FireFox, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the output at all. I can tell this because if I comment out SSLrequireSSL, it still disallows a http:// request.

    Hey, is there a way to find out the last time a contact was modified? I can't seem to find a variable for it. The reason I'm asking is because I'd like to do a sync of the contacts to my web server and I don't feel like checking for each contact with a HTTP request if it needs updating. So I was thinking to check the date of the last update to the date of the last sync.

    Hi Folks, I know about ajax cross-domain policy. So I can't just call "http://www.google.com" over a ajax HTTP request and display the results somewhere on my site. I tried it with dataType "jsonp", that actually would work, but I get a syntax error (obviously because the received data is not json formated) Is there any other possiblity to receive/display data from a foreign domain ? iFrames follow the same policy?
