• Where is the gtk# widget for windows forms in mono?

  Ok, I downloaded mono to program in c#. The installation worked fine and I have mono up and running. The problem is, I can't find the toolbox that contains stuff like: Common controls containers Menus and toolbars All Windows Forms THIS IS FOR THE VISUAL DESIGN PART! I cant find them! I also can't see the window to work on. (By default its called "Form1") Im trying to get mono to look like this: http://www.mono-project.com/File:Md2.png See, the window in the middle called "MainWindow" I can't see that in mono. also, on the top right, I cant find that widget box! • How do you track Production tasks.

  I manage a team of coders (5people) that maintain a few modules in a large project. On top of doing coding, we also do production operational tasks (like doing server housekeeping, batch backlog tracking) These tasks are done daily, done by 1 person, and is rotated weekly The problem is this: These tasks are routine, but there I cant think of a practical way of ensuring the person does what he is supposed to do. I thought of using spreadsheets to track, or to the extent of doing a paper checklist, which the person on duty will have to physically sign off. I just want the guy on duty to remember and execute every daily item. What works on your project?

• Organisation GitHub account. Secure to use for personal projects?

  So a large client of mine gave me access to their Organisation GitHub account. With it came a login for myself (on github.companyname.com) and of course access to certain repos on their company account (by switching the user to the company via the button in the top left). Now I was wondering, since I can create private repos for myself, is it safe for me to use these for non-related projects or can the company administrators access my user's repos despite being private? My understanding of Github is limited as it is, so this extra layer of complexity from the organisation account isn't helping too much. Thanks,Mike

• Machine check error while booting from USB

  I put the last Ubuntu iso on my USB stick using UNetBootin, after formatting it to fat32. I've already done that before with other operating systems and it worked. I can't actually boot Ubuntu from USB since I get a black screen with the error "Machine check error" on top the an automatic reboot happens. The error appears right after the boot, I can't see anything else before. I'm using my ASUS K53SV latop. Does anybody know how to solve this?

  Having read this heated question about Unity vs. UDK vs. ID something, I'm curious to know: what the repeatedly-hit, most crippling limitation(s) of Unity? In order to keep this question non-subjective, again, I'm talking about the top repeated offender(s) of Unity are. This is something that, as a Unity user, you really wish someone had told you about before you started using it. I have heard from someone that Unity does not deal well with version control, since it generates a lot of binary files (which are un-diffable). This, to me, is not really crippling as I work alone. • Ubuntu 12.10 installation. Hit or miss Booting

  I just recently downloaded and installed Ubuntu 12.10. I also completely wiped the laptop. The Ubuntu OS will only boot part of the time but never on the first time. Always, the first start up will automatically go to a purple screen and stay there. At first I waited for 45 minutes and nothing changed. Once I held down the power button to turn it off, I turned it back on to see the Asus screen followed by the grub menu. I can select "Ubuntu" and then there is a white box blinking in the top left corner. Then, it will either keep blinking or transfer to the Ubuntu loading screen(everything works fine if it gets to the loading screen). This has never happened before with prior versions of Ubuntu. Any ideas are helpful. Thanks!
