• Demographics and interests reports in Google universal analytics

  I have an issue with Google Analytics, can't seem to find a guide how to activate Demographics and Interests reports. • appearance incomplete

  I'm using 14:04 which is pretty nice. Something wionders me: if I open a window (e.g. Ubuntu Software Centre) I can see SOME items (sometimes nothing) but by hovering the mouse over it it appears - and then disappears again. Sometimes the side mover acts the same way... Maybe it has to do with my hardware: P4, 3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, older graphics board, KVM-switch? There's no difference whether I use Gnome, Ubuntu standard, Ubuntu classic, Ubuntu fallback... Thanks for hints Jens

• Wine doesn't work (Problem with the mount manager)

  I didn't know exactly when the problem occurred. My Wine worked well a couple days ago. Then, I was just about to install some Windows programs hours ago but I got nothing. No installer window showed up, and no error report. It just won't work. And now I just found where the problem is (screenshot below), but I don't know how to fix it. Any idea? • Using Google Tag Manager to define the page type

  So, I am looking to add a tag that I want to use for A/B testing, however we don't have a page-type URL structure. Fortunately the tool can recognise page type if I pass it by Javascript. <script type="text/javascript"> window.isProductPage = true; </script> I have been told to use the above, I have created the script in Google Tag Manager (GTM), however I now need to know how to make this run on those pages in GTM. I have looked through the code and there are div class that are unique to each page, can I use this as an indication of page type?

• Web RDP not working in Ubuntu 11.10

  I am not able to connect to the remote machine from Ubuntu 11.10 machine using Web RDP. The following are the details. Java Vendor: Oracle Corporation Java Version: 1.7.0_07 IVE Host: xxx.xxx.com Run Level:0, read timeout:90000 Applet is signed and trusted webRDP version: 1.0.8.16, 2011-04-14 10:34 Attempting to obtain the license from the application jar. Obtained the license from the application jar. Keyboard: IBM101 I have removed the actual host name from the above details The error message on a pop up window is Application Error UnsatisfiedLinkError Unable to load library 'libX11':liblibX11.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. This error happens soon after Applet loads. I am supposed to get a WebRDP Screen with logo then a Windows Login screen for the remote machine. ( This is working fine in Linux Mint) Anyone has experienced this problem? Any solutions?

• Do games use threads?

  I understand that the concept of how a game runs i.e while (game_loop = true) { //handle events // input/output/sound etc } But it has come to my attention while programming in another HLL is do some games use threads for certain operations? For example take any Pokemon game ; during interaction a textbox appears to display information. Now I've been trying to simulate that sort of textbox and the only way I could have got it to be exactly the same is by using a loop and yes once a loop is started there is no way to handle window events unless they are handled again inside the loop itself. I couldn't have used this loop inside a different thread other than the main one (due to a DirectX limitation) so the only option was to use it inside the main program thread. I was wondering if some games work like this ; do they only use the main program thread and handle events again if they're inside a loop? Edit: I forgot to mention this is about console games not PC games! Thanks Nubcake

• Need some help fixing fonts (11.04 Alpha 3)

  Hi I changed my Application Font and Window Font to something much better looking but it has a few problems. The font is Umpush Light. It's doing this in the software center: http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/8307/workspace1004.png If I increase the font size from 11 to 12, that problem goes away, but then everything is too large. When I increase it this also happens: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6231/workspace1006e.png It starts moving the text in the search box up, and the "All Applications" drop down gets messed up too. It seems like there is too much padding around the font or something. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

  I am an android UI developer and having problem with issue with USB and external storage device support on android. What I want to have is on plug-in USB/SD card, the storage items in the devices directly show up on screen. For example the modern Operating systems have this feature that we plug in our device and it just automatically shows the contents of the device on new window. I am implementing my UI on android API level 10 and my device is IMX reference kit which has android 2.3.4 installed. I would be grateful if anyone could give specif suggestion or guideline. I already tried with external_storage.java class. but it only says that the APK is installed successfully. But no action launches on plug-in external device.

• Files: Name column basically useless in list view. Feature or bug?

  So the following is happening in Files whenever the width of the window is somewhat smaller than all the content of the list: In list view the name column is cropped unto a point where no name is visible at all! And it is even not possible to change the column size manually. Funnily, in some situations it quickly flickers from a larger column width to the small one back and forth before settling on the small size. Unnecessarily to say, it is extremely annoying. Is there a way around this or is this just "bad design"? Oh yeah, Ubuntu 13.04 & 13.10, Files version 3.8.2.

  I am looking to make a program that accomplishes some simple goals. I need to be able to specify an area of my screen to have reproduced in a window. Similar to who the windows magnifier works. I also need it to stay on top. I also need it to be transparent. I also need it to be ghost like(mouse clicks go through it) so the application below can be interacted with still. • Libreoffice theme integration not working (Xubuntu)

  I am running Xubuntu 11.10 and everything works nicely. I have selected a nice Xfce theme and everything looks beautiful, except Libreoffice. While other programmes (Gimp, Inkscape, Thunar etc.) integrate with the selected Appearance & Window Manager theme, Libreoffice looks like a Windows 98 programme. Does anyone know how to fix this?   I have a DataGrid with one column using a UserControl via a styled DataGridTemplateColumn. I can't seem to get the UserControl to 'see' the object that is in it's containing DataGridCell though. What kind of bindings can I create on the TextBox in my UserControl so that it can look up and see that object?! The promise returned from using ptor.executeScript("window.getComputedStyle(jQuery('.my-class')[0], ':after').content").then(function(data){ console.log(arguments) // {'0':null} }); I've also tried dropping that in the expectation, but I'd guess that fails for the same reason. Since the CSS Declaration for this is pointing at one of the element's attributes anyway, should I just try to read that attribute?
