    I've installed PostgreSQL and PostGIS, and now I'm trying to follow these instructions: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/ref/contrib/gis/install/#spatialdb-template But I keep getting the following error, both in the command prompt and in Cygwin: C:\Users\Home>createdb -E UTF8 template_postgis createdb: could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? And I know PostgreSQL is running, because I'm using it right now! Installing open source applications can sometimes be so frustrating... I'll be very grateful for your help!

    I need to do some regex replacement on HTML input, but I need to exclude some parts from filtering by other regexp. (e.g. remove all <a> tags with specific href="example.com…, except the ones that are inside the <form> tag) Is there any smart regex technique for this? Or do I have to find all forms using $regex1, then split the input to the smaller chunks, excluding the matched text blocks, and then run the $regex2 on all the chunks?

    I have a Portlet that contains a form. Now what I want to achieve is the following. 1) A Porlet containing a form is called within a page via <?php $this->widget('form'); ?> 2) The user fills in this form and clicks on submit "The submit button should be an ajax button" 3) When submit has been pressed the form should call a method within the form portlet class and the form should be replaced with a Thank you message. 4) I only want the current view in the portlet replaced with another view.     I can't seem to call this executable correctly in my psake deploy script. If I do this: exec { "$ArchiverOutputDir\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install" } It simply outputs this (and is clearly not calling the executable - just outputting the value of that expression): c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install But if I do this: exec { c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install } I get the expected output from the executable. How do I correctly call an executable with a variable in the path to the executable in psake? If this is actually a PowerShell issue, please feel free to correct the question to reflect that insight.   • ASP.NET 2.0 files work in one folder, but NOT in another

    I am about to leap of a building. I have created an app for a client and all the files are in a folder on their D drive. Now it is time to go production, so I copied all my files and folders to their excisting classic asp folder on the same drive. BUT NOTHING WORKS. The only difference I can see is that DEV does not require HTTPS like the production site. I also made sure all the permissions are the same on both folder. I made sure that the GAC has read rights using the aspnet_regiis tool. I am at the end of my debug knowlegde, could someone please help me out.   • EF Code first + Delete Child Object from Parent?

    I have a one-to-many relationship between my table Case and my other table CaseReplies. I'm using EF Code First and now wants to delete a CaseReply from a Case object, however it seems impossible to do such thing because it just tries to remove the CaseId from the specific CaseReply record and not the record itself.. short: Case just removes the relationship between itself and the CaseReply.. it does not delete the CaseReply.   • Mapped Stored Procedures in EF 1

    All, I'm using mapped Stored Procedures in EF 1. I've completed the following steps: 1) I've created my INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries in SQL Server. 2) I've built the EDMX and imported the INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE sprocs as part of my model. 3) I've set up a Stored Procedure Mapping on a table inside of my EDMX file. The INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE sprocs were mapped accordingly. Using this approach, I would expect to rebuild the application (and mine builds successfully) and then see the Stored Procedures as available function names via my EDMX object, such as: _entities.InsertComment(..), _entities.UpdateComment(..), and _entities.DeleteComment(..) Intellisense is not picking these names up and I can't figure out why. If I perform these same steps using EF4, the function names are automatically picked up by Intellisense after adding the Stored Procedure Mappings. Is this a bug in EF1? Is there something else I should be doing? Thanks in advance, Mike

    Using EF we can use LINQ to read data which is rather simple (especialy using fluent calls), but we have less control unless we write eSQL on our own. Is writing eSQL database actually data store independant code? So if we decide to change data store, can the same statements still be used? Is writing eSQL strings in your code pose any serious security threats similar to writing TSQL statements in plain strings? So we moved to SPs. Could we still mode eSQL scripts outside of code as well and use some other technique to make them a bit more secure?

  • Zend_ACL isAllowed causes issues with dojo

    Hi all, I got an issue setting up Zend_Acl, I got it pretty well setup and running but I realised that in some forms where I'm using zend_dojo, dojo doesn't actualy gets loaded. Without going to I have setup my access list, as soon as I call the line isAllowed with the name of the resource taken from the request object, dojo is not loaded (I think) This is the code that breaks dojo: class MyPluginAcl extends Zend_Controller_Plugin_Abstract { public function __construct(Zend_Acl $acl) { $this->_acl = $acl; } public function preDispatch(Zend_Controller_Request_Abstract $request) { ..... $role = "guest" $resource = $request->getControllerName(); var_dump($resource) //Returns string(10)'myresource' $action = $request->getActionName(); if (!$this->_acl->isAllowed($role, $resource,$action)){ //Code to redirect somewhere } ...... } The thing that doesn't make sense are the following: If I do a var_dump($resource) I get a string(10)'myresource', still doesn't work If I set the $resource to be $resource = new Zend_Acl_Resource($request->getControllerName()); still doesn't work , but If I set $resource to have a string value, this whole thing works (eg. $resources = "myresource; it works.     Is there a way to tell to VS2005 to get compiler error when using "some defined" method? It probably sounds strange, but I do not want to compile when using Decimal.Round(). Reason: CF does not round by "awayfromzero", so I created a method to do this job. But sometimes I (and team) forget that is not to use Decimal.Round. So I'd like to get a compiler error when using it.

  • Zend_Auth / Zend_Session error and storing objects in Auth Storage

    Hi All, I have been having a bit of a problem with Zend_Auth and keep getting an error within my Acl. Within my Login Controller I setup my Zend_Auth storage as follows $auth = Zend_Auth::getInstance(); $result = $auth->authenticate($adapter); if ($result->isValid()) { $userId = $adapter->getResultRowObject(array('user_id'), null)->user_id; $user = new User_Model_User; $users = new User_Model_UserMapper; $users->find($userId, $user); $auth->getStorage()->write( $user ); } This seems to work well and I am able to use the object stored in the Zend_Auth storage within View Helpers without any problems. The problem that I seem to be having is when I try to use this within my Acl, below is a snippet from my Acl, as soon as it gets to the if($auth->hasIdentity()) { line I get the exception detailed further down. The $user->getUserLevel() is a methord within the User Model that allows me to convert the user_level_id that is stored in the database to a meaning full name. I am assuming that the auto loader sees these kind of methords and tries to load all the classes that would be required. When looking at the exception it appears to be struggling to find the class as it is stored in a module, I have the Auto Loader Name Space setup in my application.ini.   • Cannot access new product attributes in grid display

    I added a couple new attribute to my products(a boolean "yes/no" fields). They are variables to enable/disable the price from displaying on the product detail page, and grid view. I managed to get it work on the product info page. But on product grid page I cant seem to access those variable. Specifically, the template i am working with is catalog/product/list.phtml. Ive tried adding them in the xml file like this layout/catalog.xml: <block type="catalog/product_list" name="product_list" template="catalog/product/list.phtml"> <action method="addAttribute"><name>DisplayPrice</name></action> <action method="addAttribute"><name>CustomOrder</name></action> </block> and I am trying to access the attributes like so in catalog/product/list.phtml: <?php echo $_product->getDisplayPriceName()? "Yes" : "No" ; echo $_product->getCustomOrderName()?   • Should I remove all inheritance from my model in order to work with ria services?

    I've posted some questions on this before, but it's different. So consider a small portion of our model: Person Customer Employee Spouse Person is the base class which has 3 classes that inherit from it. These 4 are very central in our design and link to many other entities. I could solve all the problems I'm experiencing with ria-services by removing the inheritance but that would really increase the complexety of the model. The first problem I experienced was that I couldn't query for Customers, Employees or Spouses, but someone gave me a solution, which was to add something like this to the DomainService: public IQueryable<Employee> GetEmployees() { return this.ObjectContext.People.OfType<Employee>(); } public IQueryable<Customer> GetCustomers() { return this.ObjectContext.People.OfType<Customer>(); } public IQueryable<Spouse> GetSpouses() { return this.ObjectContext.People.OfType<Spouse>(); } Next I tried something that seemed very normal to me: var employee = new Employee() { //.... left out to reduce the length of this question }; var spouse = new Spouse() { //.... left out to reduce the length of this questions }; employee.Spouse = spouse; context.People.Add(spouse); context.People.Add(employee); context.SubmitChanges(); Then I get the following exception: Cannot retrieve an entity set for the derived entity type 'Spouse'. Use EntityContainer.GetEntitySet(Type) to get the entity set for the base entity type 'Person'. Even when the spouse is already in the database, and I retreive it first I get similar exceptions. Also note that for some reason in some places "Persons" is used instead of "People"... So how do I solve this problem, what am I doing wrong and will I keep running into walls when using ria services with inheritance? I found some references on the web, all saying it works and then some DomainService code in which they suposedly changed something but no details... I'm using VS2010 RC1 + Silveright 4

  • Entity Relationship Multiple 1:1's

    I have an application where I have a generic object (table) called Hull. Each hull in the table is unique. I have another object that has three hulls, but they are specifically the Port_Hull, Center_Hull and Starboard_Hull. Rather than create a One to Many relationship, I was trying to create a one to one relationship for each one, but this results in numerous errors unless I make the relationship from Hull to Vessel one to many (which it is not). Any idea how I go about this, or should I abandon the concept and make the vessel to hull relationship one to many and deal with lists that always have three entries? p.s. Using uniqueidentifiers as many users can be adding records while disconnected. Hull Table HullID uniqueidentifier (primary key) plus bunch of hull data fields Vessel Table VesselID uniqueidentifier (primary key) MainHullID uniqueidentifier (tried as key and non-key) PortHullID uniqueidentifier StarboardHullID uniqueidentifier plus bunch of Vessel data fields

  • How is it possible to get the forms mouseposition when clicking inside a control?

    Hi. I have a panel and have added a PictureBox to it. I have added mouse_click listeners to both the panel and the picturebox. When they are clicked i create a messagebox which tells me the mouse position. Problem: When i click the panel, i get the mouse position i want. When i click the pictureBox, i get the current position in that picturebox. What i want: I want both of the controls to get the current mouseposition on the form. I can also go with getting the current mouseposition of the panel, since it is overlaying the form. Does anybody know how i can do this? I've googled around for this, but can't seem to find anything about it. Thank you in advance.
