  • SimpleXMLElement (PHP) throwing error on XML root attributes

    I am working on a project that will take XML data submitted through a textarea input in a form then extract the data and throw it into a database. I am getting errors about the attribute in the root field of my XML (it is the same schema each time, but with different values).     When a Client serializes the following data: InternationalStudent student; student.id("Client ID"); student.firstName("Client First Name"); student.country("Client Country"); the Server receives the following: ID = "Client ID" Country = "Client First Name" instead of the following: ID = "Client ID" Country = "Client Country" The only difference between the Server and Client classes is the First Name of the Student.   • Maven/TestNG reports "Failures: 0" but then "There are test failures.", what's wrong?

    I'm using Maven 2.2.1 r801777, Surefire 2.7.1, TestNG 5.14.6, Java 1.6.0_11 on Win XP. I have only one test class with one empty test method and in my pom I have just added TestNG dependency.     I have tried several solutions for this problem. Enough to know I do not know enough about MSBuild to do this elegantly but I feel like there should be a method. I have a set of libraries for working with .net projects. A few of the projects utilize System.Web.Mvc - which recently released Version 2 - and we are looking forward to the upgrade. Currently sites which reference this library reference it directly by the project(csproj) on the developer's computer - not a built version of the library so that changes and source code case easily be viewed when dealing code from this library. This works quite well and would prefer to not have to switch to binary references (but will if this is the only solution). The problem I have is that because of some of the functionality that was added onto the MVC1 based library (view engines, model binders etc) several of the sites reliant on these libraries need to stay on MVC1 until we have full evaluated and tested them on MVC2. I would prefer to not have to fork or have two copies on each dev machine. Tried to add jboss-servlet-api_3.0_spec-1.0.0.Final.jar file in that directory and updated module.xml too. But, it shows a very long trail of stacktraces :) I have even removed beans.xml. No change. I have never tried JBoss before. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I've been following a tutorial and a sample application, namely 5 Days of Wicket - Writing the tests: http://www.mysticcoders.com/blog/2009/03/10/5-days-of-wicket-writing-the-tests/ I've set up my own little project with a simple shoutbox that saves messages to a database. I then wanted to set up a couple of tests that would make sure that if a message is stored in the database, the retrieved object would contain the exact same data. Upon running mvn test all my tests fail. The exception has been pasted in the first code box underneath.   • Watchguard SSLVPN user connection issue

    I have a user that needs access to our SSLVPN on our Watchguard firewall from his company issued laptop. The problem is when he tries to connect as himself he cannot connect. If I login to the machine it works fine, if I add him to the domain admins group in Active Directory it works fine… So, we know it is an access issue but I cannot figure out what access he needs.   • Getting PATH right for python after MacPorts install

    I can't import some python libraries (PIL, psycopg2) that I just installed with MacPorts. I looked through these forums, and tried to adjust my PATH variable in $HOME/.bash_profile in order to fix this but it did not work. I added the location of PIL and psycopg2 to PATH. I know that Terminal is a version of python in /usr/local/bin, rather than the one installed by MacPorts at /opt/local/bin. Do I need to use the MacPorts version of Python in order to ensure that PIL and psycopg2 are on sys.path when I use python in Terminal? Should I switch to the MacPorts version of Python, or will that cause more problems?     I have one physical Windows 2008 R2 server running Hyper-V. Running under Hyper-V I have a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2 server running Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services). I'm preparing my applications using the "Install Application on Remote Desktop..." control panel app. So far so good. However, I am now trying to install FoxPro 2.6 which is a 16-bit windows application. When I try to install it I receive the message: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher". Is there any way around this? I'm in the middle of a large migration to thin-clients and foxpro 2.6, while it won't be around forever, is a very integral application for our data-entry personnel. How can I get this to work?   • OpenSolaris / Nexenta problems with NetXen 4-port NIC card (ntxn driver)

    Hello, I'm running NexentaStor Enterprise on an HP ProLiant DL180 G6 server. The onboard NIC interfaces surface as igb0 and igb1 and work well. However, I've added an HP NC375T 4-port network card using the NetXen 3031 chipset. This card should be handled by the ntxn driver in the SUNWntxn package, but that results in "ntxn0: failed to map doorbell" messages upon boot. The network interfaces don't show up. After some research, I found HP's driver package for the card. The release notes for the driver package state: This version of the Driver is supported only on Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09. Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09 contain an older version of NetXen P3 driver package called SUNWntxn. So, adding another version of NetXen P3 driver package using pkgadd command might result in conflicts with the NetXen driver binary & related files. Users are advised to uninstall native SUNWntxn driver package before installing the new package.   • uninstall google chrome in fedora

    Yesterday I installed Fedora 15 Beta with GNOME 3 - it works well. One problem though is that I installed Chrome 32-bit (which was wrong, should have been the 64-bit version) and now I can't uninstall it. I can't find it in Add/Remove Software, and I also can't install the correct version of Chrome because it complains about my other copy of Chrome. Any ideas how I can remove the existing copy and get the 64-bit version installed?     We have an RHEL5 server that I'm trying to install PHP-Mcrypt on and I'm stuck when I tried to run ./configure for mcrypt source files. I was using this guide: http://atlantatechpro.com/howtos/howtoslinux/howtosmhashmcrypt When I try to install (./configure) mcrypt, I get this checking for libmcrypt - version = 2.5.0... no Could not run libmcrypt test program, checking why... The test program compiled, but did not run. This usually means that the run-time linker is not finding LIBMCRYPT or finding the wrong version of LIBMCRYPT. If it is not finding LIBMCRYPT, you'll need to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, or edit /etc/ld.so.conf to point to the installed location Also, make sure you have run ldconfig if that is required on your system If you have an old version installed, it is best to remove it, although you may also be able to get things to work by modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH configure: error: * libmcrypt was not found I also made a file at /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libmcrypt.conf with /usr/local/libmcrypt in it and ran /sbin/ldconfig I might have screwed things up by trying to reinstall libmcrypt without the configure arguments. Any suggestions on what to do now?

  • Wacom consumer tablet driver service may crash while opening Bamboo Preferences, often after resuming computer from sleep

    One of the ExpressKeys on my Wacom Bamboo Capture graphics tablet is mapped to Bamboo Preferences, so that I can quickly access the tablet settings and view the battery level (I have the Wireless Accessory Kit installed). However, when I connect the tablet to the computer, in wired or wireless mode, and attempt to open Bamboo Preferences, the Wacom consumer tablet driver service may crash, most often when I try to do so after resuming the computer from sleep. There is usually no direct indication of the crash (although I once did get Tablet Service for consumer driver stopped working and was closed), only that the cursor shows that the system is busy for a split second. When this happens, the pen no longer tracks on the screen when in proximity of the tablet (even though it is detected by the tablet itself); however, touch continues to function correctly. To recover from this condition, I need to restart the tablet driver services. I got tired of having to go through Task Manager to restart the service every time this happens, so I ended up writing the following command script, with a shortcut on the desktop for running it with elevated privileges: net stop TabletServicePen net start TabletServicePen net stop TouchServicePen net start TouchServicePen Is there something I can do to prevent these crashes from happening in the first place, or do I have have to deal with this issue until the driver is updated? Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Tablet drivers are up to date.     Right, this is strange. I am connecting from my laptop (LMDE) to a remote host (SUSE linux enterprise) using ssh -X. I want to launch a firefox instance running on the remote server so I can have access to webpages on a private network. User@RemoteMachine $ which -a firefox /usr/bin/firefox User@RemoteMachine $ /usr/bin/firefox --version Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.2, Copyright (c) 1998 - 2007 mozilla.org User@LocalMachine $ which -a firefox /usr/bin/firefox User@LocalMachine $ /usr/bin/firefox --version Mozilla Firefox 14.0.1 Now, if firefox is not running on the local machine, everything goes as expected and executing firefox on the remote machine causes a firefox (v 2.0) window running on the remote machine to show up. However, if firefox is running on the local machine a second window of firefox 14.0.1 running on the local machine appears. I have checked top in both machines. In the 2nd case, a firefox process briefely appears on the remote machine and then disappears when the local version of firefox is launched. My questions are the following: What gives? How/why can firefox connect to its existing instance on the local machine? The remote machine appears to have access to the local machine. It, in fact, appears to have the right to execute programs on my local machine. Am I missing something or is this just weird? Is this not a security risk?

    We recently updated our SQL 2008 server to use SP 2 and its causing a few headaches. We use SSRS on this server and when a client tries to print a report by the built-in print function, we're needing to download the RsClientPrint ActiveX control from the server from the client gets the following error Unable to load client print control. We have about 700 computers that are needing this fixed and I've followed the instructions found on the following URL: http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/client-side-printing-silent-deployment-of-rsclientPrint.aspx We have two issues: Most of the users who will be using this ActiveX control are not local administrators so they will not be able to install the control themselves Since there are so many computers, this has to be done silently behind the scenes run by a local admin account After following the information from the link above, we're able to put the files in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and register the DLL but we still get the same problem. The only small thing I've noticed is that in the HTML for the report page, everything that references a version is referencing version 2007.100.4000.00 and the version of the DLL that I pulled from the report server is 2007.100.1600.22. Also, for some clients that are local administrators, they are prompted every time to install the ActiveX control when they click print. This works successfully but we can't have the user asked if they want to install the same control every time they need to print.
