• Cisco VPN Client Behind ASA 5505

  I'm trying to get connected to another ASA via Cisco VPN Client. I am behind an ASA 5505 myself and I am tryihng to VPN to a 5510. I get the message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding. I can connect to the other ASA if I use a normal cheap Linksys.   I type echo $PATH on the command line and get /opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Users/andrew/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/local/pear/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/opt/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin I'm wondering where this is getting set since my .bash_login file is empty. I'm particularly concerned that, after installing MacPorts, it installed a bunch of junk in /opt. I don't think that directory even exists in a normal Mac OS X install.   Hi, i have part of Asp.NET 1.1 project. I work with remote site, which works incorrect in some cases - sometimes it write incorrect Content-Encoding header. In my code i get HttpResponse from this remote site. And if Content-Encoding header is equals, for example, "gzip", i need to set Content-Encoding header to "deflate". But there is no properties or methods in HttpResponse class to get Content-Encoding header. Content-Encoding property returns, in my case, "UTF-8". In Watch window i see _customProperties field, which contain wrong string value. How can i change header value with Asp.NET 1.1?

  I'm trying to determine how big a cloned Git repository is from a local file system. It creates hard links for some but not all files. How can I determine the disk usage of it? The best I can come up with is "du -a" right now with the original and again with the clone to determine the difference, since each hard linked file will be counted only once. Ideally, I would just run du on the clone and count each hard linked file zero times.

• Getting black images with selenium.captureScreenshot

  I'm executing selenium tests with testng, that are started on a remote system with Selenium RC via hudson (with ssh connection). The remote system is windows xp with MKS Toolkit installed, hence ssh. Tests are NOT executed as a windows service. I've tried using both captureScreenshot and captureEntirePageScreenshot methods. The first one always produces a black image. The second one creates the correct screen shot but it only works on Firefox and our tests usually pass on Firefox and fail in other browsers, so it is crucial to capture screen shots for the other browsers (mainly IE and Safari). The tests are ran in parallel, with many browser windows open at the same time. I'm not certain if this is what's causing the problem. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The source code is in a git repository so I don't have to update the images when the code changes, but occasionally the environment changes so we create a new image. Then that image needs to be cycled into the auto scaling group. Is there a way to cycle the images automatically? Right now I schedule a scale up and scale down action which gets rid of the old instances.

• How to recover gracefully from a C# udp socket exception

  Context: I'm porting a linux perl app to C#, the server listens on a udp port and maintains multiple concurrent dialogs with remote clients via a single udp socket. During testing, I send out high volumes of packets to the udp server, randomly restarting the clients to observe the server registering the new connections. The problem is this: when I kill a udp client, there may still be data on the server destined for that client. When the server tries to send this data, it gets an icmp "no service available" message back and consequently an exception occurs on the socket. I cannot reuse this socket, when I try to associate a C# async handler with the socket, it complains about the exception, so I have to close and reopen the udp socket on the server port. Is this the only way around this problem?, surely there's some way of "fixing" the udp socket, as technically, UDP sockets shouldn't be aware of the status of a remote socket? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  I am a webdeveloper and my current working tools are: Terminal (ssh, tailing logs, grep, git, etc) Eclipse (PDT, Javascript, etc) Firefox (Developer Toolbar + Firebug) The problem is that I hate using the eclipse navigation tree. For me it is a lot easier to go to the Terminal and do something like this: $ eclipse /var/www/myproject/long/path/lib/Driver/Sql.php The annoying part is that the eclipse window is not focused after this command. I have to manually click on the eclipse window (using mouse... :@ grrr) Anyway to force eclipse to be focused?

  In my war is a huge javadoc folder. There is no point in validating it since javadocs are produced by Sun(Oracle) javadoc utility. I have forgotten how I did it the last time. I need to tell Eclipse build not to validate that particular folder. Reasons why I need it: 1. the html produced by Sun javadoc generation utility does not meet the requirement that Eclipse uses - there is a bug report in Eclipse but Eclipse responds that Sun javadoc generator non-compliance is not their fault and that Eclipse intends to stick to their strict compliance. Which results in lots of html errors listed in the problems tab. 2. the javadoc folder is a remote link and high activity on that link is using up my cpu resource, and because it is a link to a remote location, that cpu high activity is sustained for long time until it finishes scanning the whole 35MB javadocs.   Hi I'm trying to create a bookmarklet which will use the jquery-ui - what steps must I take to do this? My bookmarklet loads a remote script and appends it to the page. This script includes jquery and jquery-ui, but getting the stylesheets and images is turning into a nightmare. Do I have to edit all the CSS to point images to their locations on the remote server?   We have a website with all the media (css/images) stored in a media folder. The media folder and it's 95 subdirectories contain about 400 total files. We have a Cruiscontrol project that monitors just the media directory for changes and when triggered copies those files to our integration server. Unfortunately, our integration server is at a remote location and so even when copying 2-3 files the NANT task is taking 4+ minutes. I believe the combination of the sheer number or directories/files and our network latency is causing the NANT task to run slow. I believe it is comparing the modified dates of both the local and remote copy of every file. I really want to speed this up and my initial thought was instead of trying to copy the whole media folder, can I get the list of file modifications from CruiseControl and specifically copy those files instead, saving the NANT task the work of having to compare them all for changes. Is there a way to do what I am asking or is there a better way to accomplish the same performance gains?
