• Combining a one-to-one relationship into one object in Fluent NHibernate

  I have a one-to-one relationship in my database, and I'd like to just combine that into one object in Fluent NHibernate. The specific tables I am talking about are the aspnet_Users and aspnet_Membership tables from the default ASP.NET Membership implementation. I'd like to combine those into one simple User object and only get the fields I want. I would also like to make this read-only, as I want to use the built-in ASP.NET Membership API to modify. I simply want to take advantage of lazy-loading. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is there a way to use the Layout helper to achieve this? • tabIndex fails in an AS3 swf loaded into a flex app

  I feel like I'm missing something really simple here. I'm loading a AS3 swf containing a form (created by one of our designers) into a flex app. The swf's tabIndex properties work fine when the swf is viewed by itself, however, once it's loaded into the flex app: <mx:SWFLoader source="form.swf" top="20" horizontalCenter="0" id="formSwf" complete="swfCompleteHandler(event)"/> the form fields stop receiving focus on tab. I've been looking at the FocusManager in flex, for some sort of solution, but I can't seem to find any examples, and I'm not entirely sure I'm looking in the right place. Am I stuck redoing this form in flex?

  I'm wondering what is the best way to model something like the following. Lets say my company sells metal bars (parameters/fields are: length, profile_type, quantity etc.) of different profiles, where profiles may be pipe(pipe_diameter, wall_thickness) or hollow_rectangle(base, height, wall_thickness), or maybe some other profile with different parameters. Lets say maximum number of profiles would be 12, each profile having between 2-5 parameters. Should everything be in a single table like table_bars: id, length, quantity, profile_type, pipe_diameter, wall_thickness, base, height, etc.) where profile type would be (pipe, rectangle etc.) or should every shape have its own table with its own parameters and in table_bars keep only id, length, quantity profile_type and profile_id) and are there any django specific issues is multiple tables are the best answer? • Winforms - a strange problem a with simple binding

  Hi Guys, It's hard for me to clearly describe my problem but I'll try. I have a UserControl1 which contains UserControl2 which contains several WinForms controls (most of them DevExpress). I do simple binding to these controls to my datatable fields. So far everything works fine. When I move the focus to a record in the table (by navigating in a grid rows for example) the binding works great, the concurrenmcy manager moves the cursor and everything reflects right in the bounded controls. The problem starts when I add new user UserControl3 above UserControl2 and make UserControl2.Visible = false. Now UserControl3 is shown and UserControl2 exists but not shown. Now when I set UserControl2.Visible = true to show it again the simple binding stops working! I navigate in the grid but either the ConcurrencyManager stops working or the simple binding becomes disconnected. My question: Are there any known issues/ best practices with the binding & concurrency manager? Thanks a lot, Adi Barda

• How do continuously update data to an asp page?

  Hi, I have an asp page based on a very simple database. It references a single table of probably 30 records and maybe 12 data fields and everything works great as I am only uploading a new database every week or so. I have a special circumstance where I would like upload new data to the database and display automatically on the page every 20 to 30 seconds without the user having to refresh their screen. I would expect up to 1000 concurrent users accessing the data. I have been manually uploading the database via ftp, which will obviously not work on this timeline and would also run the risk of error pages as the database is being replaced. So, can anyone point me the right direction to setup this scenario? Other details that might be helpful: The database is an Access database (but I could change to another format if needed) Running on Windows platform hosted by an ISP, not my own server Thanks in advance for any help on this! • C# GridView dynamically built columns with textboxes ontextchanged

  My page is a bulk order form that has many products and various size options. I've got a gridview that has a 3 static columns with labels. There are then some dynamically built columns. Each of the dynamically built columns have a textbox in them. The textbox is for quantity. Trying to either update the server with the quantity entered each time a textbox is changed (possibly ontextchanged event) or loop though each of the rows column by column and gather all the items that have a quantity and process those items and their quantities all at once (via button onclick). If I put the process that builds the GridView behind a if(!Page.IsPostBack) then the when a textchanged event fires the gridview only gets the static fields and the dynamic ones are gone. If I remove the if(!Page.IsPostBack) the process to gather and build the page is too heavy on processing and takes too long to render the page again. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  I'm new to Watir and I've having a little trouble getting logged in in my tests. I use authlogic as my authentication method of choice. When a User registers, they are sent an email with a confirmation link. Clicking this link confirms their account and they can then login. The issue I'm having is how do I confirm the User when using Watir?   Hello, I am trying to build JSON from two fields. Say, I have a list of object(party), and I only need to pass 2 items as JSON pair. def list = getMyList() //it contains 2 party objects partyTo = array { for (i in list) { x partyId: i.id y partyName: i.toString() } } The JSON string is {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12}, {"partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9}, {"partyName":"Sr"} ] } when I extract it at the client, it is treated as 4 objects. I wanted as 2 objects, with the below format. {"partyTo":[ {"partyId":12 , "partyName":"Ar"}, {"partyId":9 , "partyName":"Sr"} ] } I'm getting 4 objects, probably because I use an array to build JSON. I'm new to groovy and JSON, so not sure about the right syntax combinations. Any help highly appreciated. thanks.

Given an .ics such as: http://www.hebcal.com/export/ba/8a35a5efbb27548bc0272b94b8de96.ics?subscribe=1&v=1&year=2010&month=x&nh=on&tag=fp.ql&c=off How would I go about using YQL to select certain events based on fields, etc. I've tried the standard formats, and the only format that seems to even parse the file is HTML - which puts it all in a <p>, and removes the line returns that give the file meaning. I've had some success with using Yahoo Pipe's Fetch Feed Source, but was wondering if it's possible to do this entirely in YQL. Any ideas?

Im using a UIWebView to access a website, when i rotate the phone (landscape) the UIWebView is properly resized and the scrollbar are on the right place (on the right edge...) but when i acess any of input fields to fill the information required and exit it the UIWebView scrollbar jumps to the middle of screen (looks like it get back to 320, the width of the screen on portrait). Some useful info, this program was created using IB, have lots of outlets, im thinking about in do (redo) everything programmatically cause i was not the author of the first version... • HP to Cisco spanning tree root flapping

  Per a recent question I recently configured both my HP (2x 2900) and Cisco (1x 3750) hardware to use MSTP for interoperability. I thought this was functional until I applied the change to the third device (HP switch 1 below) at which time the spanning tree root started flapping causing performance issues (5% packet loss) between my two HP switches. I'm not sure why. HP Switch 1 A4 connected to Cisco 1/0/1. HP Switch 2 B2 connected to Cisco 2/0/1. HP Switch 1 A2 connected to HP Switch 2 A1. I'd prefer the Cisco stack to act as the root. EDIT: There is one specific line - 'spanning-tree 1 path-cost 500000' in the HP switch 2 that I didn't add and was preexisting. I'm not sure if it could have the kind of impact that I'm describing. I'm more a security and monitoring guy then networking. EDIT 2: I'm starting to believe the problem lies in the fact that the value for my MST 0 instance on the Cisco is still at the default 32768. I worked up a diagram: This is based on every show command I could find for STP. I'll make this change after hours and see if it helps. • cakePHP paginate with post data without sessions, serialization or post to get

  I have created a small search and filter form method post in controller/index, which posts to it self the conditions and fields to paginate ( $this-paginate($conditions) ) However that is good for the first page, the subsequent pages the filer conditions are lost. pagination passArgs supports get variables well. Is there an un complex way to pass the post conditions to the other paginated pages? The method I have looked at is pass the $conditions in session , which isnt without complexity of assigning session and unset the session on submitting the form again (more refinements to the filter criteria by the user ) The other method is passing the $conditions as serialized string url_encode as an get parameter. Is there an good cake way to do this more like passArgs, sessions and url encode do not look like cake style. Thanks
