  • Passing parameters from android to .Net Web Service

    I have an Android application that uses kSoap in connecting to my web services. This particular one is passing in a string value as a parameter, then my web service will use that parameter to query my database via a stored procedure. Problem is, I know how to pass the parameter from android, but I don't know how to retrieve it in my .Net(vb) web service and use it. Anyone have any code examples or a link to a tutorial to help me out? Thanks!

  • Calling matlab callback/function handle from Java

    How do I pass a matlab function handle to a Java object and invoke it from within Java (that is, I want Java to tell matlab when it is ready with a calculation). I am trying to use the com.mathworks.jmi.Matlab class for evaluating Matlab expressions in the Java object, but I can't see how to 1) transfer the callback funcktion handle to Java, and 2) invoke it from Java possibly using the com.mathworks.jmi.Matlab class. The constructor of that class requires a couple of parameters. How to I pass them? Other Info: This is currently on Windows, and I've registered the .dll with the GAC, etc.

  • Keep username in username field when incorrect password (php)

    How do many of the websites that have logins keep the username in the username field when the password is entered incorrectly. The form's action (it is on index.php) is another php file, which if the password is incorrect uses Header() to go back to the index and passes the error to it using GET. I could use GET to pass the username back to the form but this seems messy, and I have noticed that websites like SMF forums have the username stay in the username field without a messy URL.

  • How to use Zend Framework Form Hash (token) with AJAX

    I have included Zend_Form_Element_Hash into a form multiplecheckbox form. I have jQuery set to fire off an AJAX request when a checkbox is clicked, I pass the token with this AJAX request. The first AJAX request works great, but the subsequent ones fail. I suspect it may be once the token has been validated it is then removed from the session (hop = 1). What would be your plan of attack for securing a form with Zend Framework Hash yet using AJAX to complete some of these requests?

    I'm trying to find every instance of @username in comment text and replace it with a link. Here's my PHP so far: $comment = preg_replace('/@(.+?)\s/', '<a href="/users/${1}/">@${1}</a> ', $comment); The only problem is the regex is dependent upon there being whitespace after the @username reference. Can anyone help me tweak this so it will also match if it is at the end of the string?

  • trying to build Boost MPI, but the lib files are not created. What's going on?

    I am trying to run a program with Boost MPI, but the thing is I don't have the .lib. So I try to create one by following the instruction at http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_43_0/doc/html/mpi/getting_started.html#mpi.config The instruction says "For many users using LAM/MPI, MPICH, or OpenMPI, configuration is almost automatic", I got myself OpenMPI in C:\, but I didn't do anything more with it. Do we need to do anything with it? Beside that, another statement from the instruction: "If you don't already have a file user-config.jam in your home directory, copy tools/build/v2/user-config.jam there." Well, I simply do what it says. I got myself "user-config.jam" in C:\boost_1_43_0 along with "using mpi ;" into the file.     I've been working on a project for school that takes functions from a class file and turns them into object/classes. The assignment is all about object oriented programming in scheme. My problem however is that my code doesn't format right. The output it gives me whenever I give it a file to pass in wraps the methods of the class in a list, making it so that the class never really gets declared. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the parenthesis wrapping the method list to remove. I would really appreciate any help. (thousands of cache items, and there will so many subscriptions in SQL as well as issues with registration in ASP.Net) I want to use this in ASP.Net VirtualPathProvider's our custom implementation, so I can pass this CustomCacheDependecy to notify the asp.net that file content in the DB has changed.     After processing form from POST I should redirect, to prevent user from hitting back. However, I am using form to determine search query on a database, so I need to either pass params to the redirected site or the result of a search. Or maybe there is some other good practice, how to solve this problem? Maybe in this situation I am allowed not to redirect (nothing happens, if user performs search again).
