Problem facing to run ruport from other machine

I am using SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services and set mode remotely. All is going fine and reports running on my machine. I am not using report viewer control, but switch to browser. Problem is that when I access the report from any other system in browser by providing required url. I m getting the following premission error: Server Error in /ReportServer Application. Access is denied: Description: An error is occured while accessing the resources required to serve for this request. You might have not premission to view the requested resources. Error message: 401.3 : You dont have the premission to view this directory or page using the creditinals you supplied. int.Parse of "8" fails. int.Parse always requires CultureInfo.InvariantCulture?

We develop an established software which works fine on all known computers except one. The problem is to parse strings that begin with "8". It seems like "8" in the beginning of a string is a reserved character. Parsing: int.Parse("8") -> Exception message: Input string was not in a correct format. int.Parse("80") -> 0 int.Parse("88") -> 8 int.Parse("8100") -> 100 CurrentCulture: sv-SE CurrentUICulture: en-US The problem is solved using int.Parse("8", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture). However, it would be nice to know the source of the problem. Question: Why do we get this behaviour of "8" if we don't specify invariant culture? Netbeans (PHP) catching syntax error on xml declaration

Hello. I've just installed and configured Netbeans to work with PHP (including xdebug), and almost everything is working as intended, except that I've been getting "errors" in the IDE after I edited the default webpage template to comply with xhtml 1.1. The template is this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="${project.encoding}" ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=${project.encoding}" /> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> These are the errors I receive (I can't post images yet). Page is created OK, character encoding is inherited from project's settings as expected. It's probably something to do with the xml declaration on top of the document, but I don't really know how to "tune" Netbeans to ignore it and not show the 3 errors on every page I create. The warning is there because NB does not recognize the xhtml 1.1 DTD, so it falls back to html 4.01, which does not support the xmlns attribute in the html tag - and that's the only thing I could find searching around. It will be fixed in the next version, so I'm not worried about it. I know there's nothing wrong with the markup, but there's probably something I'm missing in NB configuration, and I would like to get rid of those messages because they pretty much take all the space I reserve for errors/warnings/tasks. So is there any way I can either make NB recognize this xml declaration or make it ignore these specific "errors"? Thanks.

Card emulation via software NFC

After reading a lot of questions, i decided to post this one. I read that stock version of android does not support API's for card emulation. Also, we cannot write custom applications to secure element embedded in nfc controllers due to keys managed by google/samsung. I need to emulate a card (mifare or desfire etc). The option i can see is doing it via software. I have a ACR122U reader and i've tested that NFC P2P mode works fine with the Nexus-S that i have. 1) I came across a site that said that nexus s's NFC controller (pn532) can emulate a mifare 4k card. If this is true, can i write/read apdu commands to this emulated card? (Probably if i use a modded rom like cyanogenmod) 2) Can i write a android application that reads apdu commands sent from the reader and generate appropriate responses (if not fully, then upto some extent only). To do so, i searched that we need to patch nexus s with cynagenmod. Has someone tried emulating card via this method? I see that this is possible since we have products from access control companies offering mobile applications via which one can open doors e.g. http://www.assaabloy.com/en/com/Products/seos-mobile-access/

Moving .NET assemblies away from the application base directory?

I have a WinForms application with a bunch of third party references. This makes the output folder quite messy. I'd like to place the compiled / referenced dlls into a common subdirectory in the output folder, bin / lib - whatever - and just have the executables (+ needed configs etc) reside in the output folder. After some searching I ran into assembly probing (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4191fzwb.aspx) - and verified that if I set this up and manually move the assemblies my application will still work if they are stored in the designated subdirectory like so: <configuration> <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <probing privatePath="bin" /> </assemblyBinding> </runtime> </configuration> However, this doesn't solve the build part - is there any way to specify where referenced assemblies and compiled library assemblies go? Only solutions I can think of off the top of my head is either post-build actions or dropping the idea and using ILMerge or something. There has got to be a better way of defining the structure :-)

I have a folder with ~10 000 subfolders. Can any linux API or tool watch for any change in any folder below e.g. /SharedRoot or do I have to setup inotify for each folder? (i.e. I loose if I want to do this for 10k+ folders). I guess yes, since I've already seen examples of this inefficient method, for instance http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/browser/trunk/twisted/internet/inotify.py?rev=28866#L345 My problem: I need to keep folders time-sorted with most recently active "project" up top. When a file changes, each folder above that file should update its last-modified timestamp to match the file. Delays are ok. Opening a file (typically MS Excel) and closing again, its file date can jump up and then down again. For this reason I need to wait until after a file is closed, then queue the folder of that file for checking, and only a while later do I go and look for the newest file in its folder, since the filedate of the triggering file could already be back-dated to its original timestamp by Excel or similar programs. Also in case several files from same folder are used/created, it makes sense to buffer timestamping of that folders' parents to at least get a bunch of updates collapsed into one delayed update. I'm looking for a linux solution. WPF PasswordBox Input Panel Icon Not Appearing: Better Workaround?

Hello, There is a known issue in WPF where the Input Panel icon does not appear when you set focus on a PasswordBox control. I'm in need of a workaround for this, but the one suggested -- using the ITextInputPanel API -- does not quite cut it for me. Fist of all, the API works with Windows Forms controls and alternatively accepts control handles. Since WPF controls are not handle based, and they are not Forms controls, this is not quite suitable. I tried hosting a Forms control on my WPF page and that worked on the Windows XP Tabled PC (albeit with some COM exceptions) but, since there is no PasswordBox in Forms, I had to stick with a regular textbox, which is not what I need. Alternatively, using the VisualTreeHelper to get a handle on the control did not work, either. The API, according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms699559%28VS.85%29.aspx, is only compatible with Vista. I'm dealing with Windows XP tablets. I understand that the IPenInput API can be used as an alternative, but it is now deprecated. Can someone please suggest something? I really need to fix this issue. Thanks in advance!

Grouping a list of of entities which has a sublist in c#

I have a set of Entities which basically has this structure. {Stats Name="<Product name> (en)" TotalResources="10" ..} {DayStats Date="2009-12-10" TotalResources="5"} {DayStats Date="2009-12-11" TotalResources="5"} {Stats} {Stats Name="<Product name> (us)" TotalResources="10" ..} {DayStats Date="2009-12-10" TotalResources="5"} {DayStats Date="2009-12-11" TotalResources="5"} {Stats} ... What I wan't to extract from this set is a new set entities (or entity in the example above) where the first level has been grouped by the (ignoring the country label) where all/some of the properties has been summmed together, including the the sublist of {DayStas} on a per day basis. So the result set of the example would look something like this: {Stats Name="<Product name>" TotalResources="20" ..} {DayStats Date="2009-12-10" TotalResources="10"} {DayStats Date="2009-12-11" TotalResources="10"} {Stats} ... So my question is: Is it possible to do this in a more elegant way in LINQ rather than the vanilla "loop-trhough-each-entity-and-compare"-way? And I wan't the set to contain the same type of entities as the original set ({Stats}, {DayStats}), your answer doesn't need to include code for that, I can probably work that out by myself. Just letting you know incase you need to take that into account. (I'm sorry if this question has been discussed before, I tried searching to no avail. User Control not loading based on location

I have an ASP.net MVC solution that uses nested master pages to load content. On the first Master page I load a header, then have the Content Placeholder, and then load a footer. This master page is referenced by another master page which adds some additional information based on the user being logged in or not. When I load a page that references these master pages, the header loads, but the footer does not. If I move the footer up above the Content Place Holder it loads into the page. Any ideas why this might be the case? In browser trusted application Silverlight 5

With the new Silverlight 5, we can now have a In-Browser elevated-trust application. However, I'm experiencing some problems to deploy the application. When I am testing the application from Visual Studio, everything works fine because it automatically gives every right if the website is hosted on the local machine (localhost, 127.0.0.1). I saw on MSDN that I have to follow 3 steps to make it work on any website: Signed the XAP - I did it following the Microsoft tutorial Install the Trusted publishers certificate store - I did it too following the Microsoft Tutorial Adding a Registry key with the value : AllowElevatedTrustAppsInBrowser. The third step is the one I am the most unsure about. Do we need to add this registry key on the local machine or on the server ? Is there any automatic function in silverlight to add this key or its better to make a batchfile? Even with those 3 steps, the application is still not working when called from another url than localhost. Does anybody has successfully implemented a In-browser elevated-trust application? Do you see what I'm doing wrong? Thank you very much! How to install Eclipse + PHP Development Tools (PDT) + Debugger on Mac in The Year 2010

I had a lot of trouble installing Eclipse and PDT on my system. It took two days, largely because all the tutorials I could find were out of date (written in 2008, it's 2010 now) and various steps they included were no longer necessary, broken, or irrelevant. I wanted to write my process here so it could be improved upon (via wiki) as time goes on. Install Eclipse without PHP plugin ("Eclipse Classic"). This will give you a complete Eclipse, which I find preferable, as the UI is more fleshed out (e.g. you get a default list of Perspectives, which helps you understand what Perspectives are.) Install PDT SDK with the Help Install New Software menu item. You'd think you'd be done here, but if you try to run something, it'll fail complaining of not having a debugger. Install the Zend Debugger. It'll fail if you try to use the Install New Software option, as many tutorials suggest ("No repository found containing osgi.bundle.org.zend.php.debug.debugger.5.3.7.v20091116".) Instead, download it from http://www.zend.com/en/community/pdt, and manually copy the features/ and plugins/ directory into your Eclipse install (these instructions are not written anywhere). Restart Eclipse Monkey with preferences for a while -- if you followed a previous tutorial and tried to manually add your php executable to Eclipse prefs (/usr/bin/php), remove it (PHP PHP Executables). Set one of the Zend Debugger executables to the default. If you've already tried to execute a .php file, remove the existing "Run" profile you (maybe weren't aware that you) created (Run Debug Configurations...). Eclipse works! You should be able to run a .php file as a script just fine.

A way to enable a LaunchDaemon to output sound?

I have a small Foundation application that checks a website and plays a sound if it sees a certain value. This application successfully plays a sound when I run it as my user from the Terminal. The sound files are located in the same directory as the binary, and I use the following code: NSSound *soundToPlay = [[NSSound alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:@"sound.wav" byReference:NO]; [soundToPlay setDelegate:stopper]; [soundToPlay play]; while (g_keepRunning) { [[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] runUntilDate:[NSDate dateWithTimeIntervalSinceNow:1.0]]; } [soundToPlay setCurrentTime:0.0]; Is there any way to get my LaunchDaemon application to play sound? This machine gets run by different people, and sometimes has no one logged in, which is why I have to configure it as a LaunchDaemon.

Image Grabbing with False Referer

Hey guys, I'm struggling with grabbing an image at the moment... sounds silly, but check out this link :P http://manga.justcarl.co.uk/A/Oishii_Kankei/31/1 If you get the image URL, the image loads. Go back, it looks like it's working fine, but that's just the browser loading up the cached image. The application was working fine before, I'm thinking they implemented some kind of Referer check on their images. Hi, I'm writing a c# application that will process some text and provide basic query functions. In order to ensure the best possible support for other languages, I am allowing the users of the application to specify the System.Globalization.CultureInfo (via the "en-GB" style code) and also the full range of collation options using the System.Globalization.CompareOptions flags enum. For regular string comparison I'm then using a combination of: a) String.Compare overload that accepts the culture and options b) For some bulk processes I'm caching the byte data (KeyData) from CompareInfo.GetSortKey (overload that accepts the options) and using a byte-by-byte comparison of the KeyData. This seemed fine (although please comment if you think these two methods shouldn't be mixed), but then I had reason to use the HashSet< class which only has an overload for IEqualityComparer<. MS documentation seems to suggest that I should use StringComparer (which implements both IEqualityComparer< and IComparer<), but this only seems to support the "IgnoreCase" option from CompareOptions and not "IgnoreKanaType", "IgnoreSymbols", "IgnoreWidth" etc. I'm assuming that a StringComparer that ignores these other options could produce different hashcodes for two strings that might be considered the same using my other comparison options. I'd therefore get incorrect results from my application. Only thought at the moment is to create my own IEqualityComparer< that generates a hashcode from the SortKey.KeyData and compares eqality be using the String.Compare overload. Any suggestions?

.NET: Is it possible to get HttpWebRequest to automatically decompress gzip'd responses?

Mac vs. Windows Browser Font Height Rendering Issue

I'm using a custom font and the @font-face tag. In Windows, everything looks great, regardless of whether it's Firefox, Chrome, or IE. On Mac, it's a different story. For some reason, the Mac font renderer thinks the font is a lot shorter than it is. One of my interests in AI focuses not so much on data but more on biologic computing. This includes neural networks, mapping the brain, cellular-automata, virtual life and environments. Described below is an exciting project that includes develop a virtual environment for bots to evolve in. "Polyworld is a cross-platform (Linux, Mac OS X) program written by Larry Yaeger to evolve Artificial Intelligence through natural selection and evolutionary algorithms." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyworld " Polyworld is a promising project for studying virtual life but it still is far from creating an "intelligent autonomous" agent. Here is my question, in theory, what parameters would you use create an AI environment? Possibly a brain environment? Possibly multiple self contained life organisms that have their own "brain" or life structures. I would like a create a spin on the game of life simulation. What if you have a 64x64 game of life grid. But instead of one grid, you might have N number of grids. The N number of grids are your "life force" If all of the game of life entities die in a particular grid then that entire grid dies. A group of "grids" makes up a life form. I don't have an immediate goal. First, I want to simulate an environment and visualize what is going on in the environment with OpenGL and see if there are any interesting properties to the environment. I then want to add "scarce resources" and see if the AI environment can manage resources adequately.
