    I am wondering why the following regex does not match. string query = "\"1 2\" 3"; string pattern = string.Format(@"\b{0}\b", Regex.Escape("\"1 2\"")); string repl = Regex.Replace(query, pattern, "", RegexOptions.CultureInvariant); Note that if I remove the word boundary characters (\b) from pattern, it matches fine. Is there something about '\b' that might be tripping this up?

    Hello, I am a newbi programmer and am having trouble with a measurement conversion program I am working on. What I would like to do is have several EditText boxes. When one is filled in and a calculate button is hit then the rest will be populated with a converted number. The part I am getting stuck on is outputting the answers to EditText widgets. ex: There are three EditText Widgets. a user inputs the number 6 into the first one (labeled inches) and presses calculate. I would like the next box to display .5 (labeled feet) and the last to display .1666 (this would be yards) .setText() apparently does not work to modify the text in an EditText any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • HTML5 <audio> Safari live broadcast vs not

    I'm attempting to embed an HTML5 audio element pointing to MP3 or OGG data served by a PHP file . When I view the page in Safari, the controls appear, but the UI says "Live Broadcast." When I click play, the audio starts as expected. Once it ends, however, I can't start it playing again by clicking play. Even using the JS API on the audio element and setting currentTime to 0 fails with an index error exception. I suspected the headers from the PHP script were the problem, particularly missing a content length. But that's not the case. The response headers include a proper Content- Length to indicate the audio has finite size. Furthermore, everything works as expected in Firefox 3.5+. I can click play on the audio element multiple times to hear the sound replay. If I remove the PHP script from the equation and serve up a static copy of the MP3 file, everything works fine in Safari. Does this mean Safari is treating audio src URLs with query parameters differently than URLs that don't have them? Anyone have any luck getting this to work?   • Creating PDF Invoices - Are there any templating solutions?

    Our company is looking to integrate invoices into a new system we are developing. We require some a solution to create a layout of the invoice and then convert to pdf. We have considered just laying out the invoice in html/css then converting to pdf. We have also considered using SVG-PDf conversion. Both of these solutions integrate well into our existing templating language used for our web application. Historically we have been a Microsoft based business and used Crystal Reports for such a task but we are looking an open source Linux solution for this project. Does any one have any suggestions of an approach or technology we could use for such a task?

    I tried on Flex 3, facing issue with uploading JPG/PNG image, trace readUTFBytes would return correct bytes length but tmpFileContent is trucated, it would only appear to have upload just 3 characters of data to the server through PHP script which made image unusable. I have no issue for non-images format. What is wrong here? var tmpFileContent:String = fileRef.data.readUTFBytes(fileRef.data.length); Is String capable of handle bytes?
