    Hi all, if I set <property name="show_sql">true</property> in my hibernate.cfg.xml configuration file in the console I can see the sql. But it's not REAL sql... Can I see the SQL code that will be passed directly to database? Example: I see select this_.code from true.employee this_ where this_.code=? Can I see select employee.code from employee where employee.code=12 the real sql? thanks!

  • Jquery selectors by CSS class in IE is really slow--workarounds?

    I have a web app where I have several elements with class="classA". I want to select and apply a function to all of them. I am doing the obvious thing, which is $(".classA").each(function () { ... }). This works just fine in Chrome/Safari/Firefox but is really slow in IE. It turns out IE has serious performance issues when selecting things by CSS class in jQuery. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on good ways to deal with this. I can't use ID selectors because there can be multiple DOM elements I want to select.

  • Help Reading Binary Image Data from SQL Server into PHP

    I cannot seem to figure out a way to read binary data from SQL server into PHP. I am working on a project where I need to be able to store the image directly in the SQL table, not on the file system. Currently, I have been using a query like this one: INSERT INTO myTable(Document) SELECT * FROM OPENROWSET(BULK N'C:\image.jpg', SINGLE_BLOB) as BLAH This works fine to actually insert the image into the table, but I haven't yet figured a way to retrieve it and get my image back. I am doing this with PHP, and ultimately will have to make a stored procedure out of it, but can anyone enlighten me on a way to get that binary data (varbinary(MAX)) and generate an image on the fly. I expected it to be simple to use a SELECT statement and add a content-type to the headers that indicated it was an image, but it's simply not working. Instead, the page will just display the name of the file, which I have encountered in the past and understand it to be an error with the image data.

  • WPF TreeViewItem deselected item still lightly highlighted

    Hello WPF fellows, I have multiple expander controls with a ViewTree control within each expander control. When I select a ViewTreeItem from one ViewTree and then select another ViewTreeItem from another ViewTree, the newly selected ViewTreeItem is highlighted in dark blue, but the last selected item is now highlighted in a very light shade of blue. Please look at www.zunjaa.com/public/images/screen.jpg to see what I'm talking about. How do I make it so that no longer active item does not show the lighter blue? Thanks.

If this statement is a common table expression, an xmlnamespaces clause or a change tracking context clause, the previous statement must be terminated with a semicolon. On execution only. There are no errors/warnings in the sql statement in the managment studio. Any ideas?

My understanding of an update attribute inside a remoteFunction is that it is the name of the div which gets refreshed after the remoteFunction call is compeleted. Thanks.

    I have one table with two queries and I need to sort it with descending type using ORDER BY. Here is my MySQL query that does not work properly: (SELECT `text` FROM `comments` WHERE user_fr='".$user."' && archive='1' ORDER BY `is_new_fr` DESC) UNION (SELECT `text` FROM `message` WHERE user_to='".$user."' && archive='1' ORDER BY `is_new_to` DESC) Description! is_new_fr and is_new_to counts total new messages. Here is my table contant: user_fr | user_to | archive | is_new_fr | is_new_to| text name1 | name2 | 1 | 2 | 0 | testing... name2 | name1 | 1 | 0 | 5 | testing ... I want to make an order that 1st will display note that has more messages to few, or by another words using DESCending type. This is the display on the page I want to do: Open dialog with name2. Messages (5) Open dialog with name1. Messages (2) Thank you!

  • searching between dates in MYSQL in this format 03/17/10.11:22:45

    I have a script that automatically populates a mysql database with data every hour. It populates the date field like 03/17/10.12:34:11 and so on. I'm working on pulling data based on 1 day at a time from a search script. If i use select * from call_logs where call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' it works, but when I try to add the rest of the search params, it ignores the call_initiated field. select * from call_logs where caller_dn='2x9xxx0000' OR called_dn='2x9xxx0000' AND call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' ^-- I x'd out a couple of the numbers. I've also tried without the between function, and used = <= to pull the records, but have the same results. Im sure its an oversight, thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to run a simple query with $this->db in Kohana, but am running into some syntax issues when I try to use an alias for a table within my query: $result = $this->db ->select("ci.chapter_id, ci.book_id, ci.chapter_heading, ci.chapter_number") ->from("chapter_info ci") ->where(array("ci.chapter_number" => $chapter, "ci.book_id" => $book)) ->get(); It seems to me that this should work just fine. I'm stating that "chapter_info" ought to be known as "ci," yet this isn't taking for some reason. The error is pretty straight-forward: There was an SQL error: Table 'gb_data.chapter_info ci' doesn't exist - SELECT `ci`.`chapter_id`, `ci`.`book_id`, `ci`.`chapter_heading`, `ci`.`chapter_number` FROM (`chapter_info ci`) WHERE `ci`.`chapter_number` = 1 AND `ci`.`book_id` = 1 If I use the full table name, rather than an alias, I get the expected results without error. This requires me to write much more verbose queries, which isn't ideal. Is there some way to use shorter names for tables within Kohana's query-builder?

    We have a number of machines which record data into a database at sporadic intervals. For each record, I'd like to obtain the time period between this recording and the previous recording. I can do this using ROW_NUMBER as follows: WITH TempTable AS ( SELECT *, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY Machine_ID ORDER BY Date_Time) AS Ordering FROM dbo.DataTable ) SELECT [Current].*, Previous.Date_Time AS PreviousDateTime FROM TempTable AS [Current] INNER JOIN TempTable AS Previous ON [Current].Machine_ID = Previous.Machine_ID AND Previous.Ordering = [Current].Ordering + 1 The problem is, it goes really slow (several minutes on a table with about 10k entries) - I tried creating separate indicies on Machine_ID and Date_Time, and a single joined-index, but nothing helps. Is there anyway to rewrite this query to go faster?

    I'm struggling to find a query which will return members who aren't friends of a certain member. Here is the layout of my tables: member_login: MemberID, email, password member_info: memberID, first_name, last_name member_friends: friendID, req_member, req_date, app_member, app_date, date_deactivated I tried to use NOT IN to run a query that would return the opposite of friends but nothing I try seems to be working.     Hello I have an extended stored procedure that sends an error message. srv_sendmsg(pSrvProc, SRV_MSG_ERROR, errorNum, SRV_FATAL_SERVER, 1, NULL, 0, (DBUSMALLINT) __LINE__, buff, SRV_NULLTERM); I've set the severity to SVR_FATAL_SERVER just as a test to see if I can cause the message to throw an exception in the sql. In my SQL i'm doing: BEGIN TRY EXEC dbo.xp_somethingCool SET @Error = @@ERROR END TRY BEGIN CATCH PRINT 'AN Error occoured!' SELECT ERROR_NUMBER() AS ErrorNumber ,ERROR_MESSAGE() AS ErrorMessage; END CATCH I would think that when my xp sends the error message the tsql would catch the error and select the error_number and error_message. Instead what ends up happening is that the xp sends the message and the T-SQL continues on its way like nothing happened. The @@Error variable doesn't get set either. So I was wondering if there was any trick to getting SQL to catch an error from an XP ? Thanks, Raul

    I have an app, which cycles through a huge number of records in a database table and performs a number of SQL and .Net operations on records within that database (currently I am using Castle.ActiveRecord on PostgreSQL). I added some basic btree indexes on a couple of the feilds, and as you would expect, the peformance of the SQL operations increased substantially. Wanting to make the most of dbms performance I want to make some better educated choices about what I should index on all my projects. I understand that there is a detrement to performance when doing inserts (as the database needs to update the index, as well as the data), but what suggestions and best practices should I consider with creating database indexes? How do I best select the feilds/combination of fields for a set of database indexes (rules of thumb)? Also, how do I best select which index to use as a clustered index? And when it comes to the access method, under what conditions should I use a btree over a hash or a gist or a gin (what are they anyway?).

Example data: Balance Created MeterNumber 7924.252 02/02/2010 10:31:48 AM 2743800 7924.243 02/02/2010 11:01:37 AM 2743876 7924.227 02/02/2010 03:55:50 PM 2743876 I want to get the balance for a record with the greatest created datetime for a specific meter number. In VFP 7 I can use: SELECT a.balance ,MAX(a.created) FROM MyTable a WHERE a.meternumber = '2743876' But, in the VFP v8.0 OleDb driver I am using in my ASP.NET page I must conform to VFP 8 which says you must have a GROUP BY listing each non aggregate field listed in the SELECT. This would return a record for each balance if I added GROUP BY a.balance to my query. Yes, I could issue a SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR 70 but I wanted to know if this could be done without having to revert to a previous version?
