  Hi, We're getting this error once a day on a script that runs every two hours, but at different times of the day. ERROR at line 1: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discarded ORA-04061: existing state of package body "PACKAGE.NAME" has been invalidated ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "PACKAGE.NAME" ORA-06512: at line 1 Could someone list what conditions can cause this error so that we could investigate? • ADO.NET: Faster way to check if the database server is accessible?

  At the moment I am using this code to check if the database is accessible: public bool IsDatabaseOnline(string con) { bool isConnected = false; SQLConnection connect = null; try { connect = new SQLConnection(con); connect.Open(); isConnected = true; } catch (Exception e) { isConnected = false; } finally { if (connect != null) connect.Close(); } return isConnected; } While this code works fine, there is a disadvantage. If the server is not online it spends about 4 full seconds trying to open the connection before deciding that it is not available. Is there a way to test the connection without trying to actually opening it and waiting for the timeout? Something like a database-equivalent of ping?

The required behaviour is as follows: I have a link(with a ajax link embedded) xyz.com/admin#page1 When I go to the above page, I should be redirected to the login page, if I am not logged in. After I log in, I should be taken back to xyz.com/admin#page1 For this I need to store the url in session when I visit any page. The problem is that when I do request.uri, I get xyz.com/admin But I want to store xyz.com/admin#page1 Regards, Pankaj

  I want to load data from my web server, I want it be the AJAX/Comet way, my web-server long holds the request, response it until something happened.   Hi, I have implemented Facebook Connect in my iPhone project and it is working great. The only problem I have is that every time the user closes the app, the next time they load it they have to re-enter their username and password to login even if the 'keep me logged in' box is checked. My question is is there a way to save the user's session so next time the app is launched they are automatically logged into Facebook Connect without any prompts? Thanks!

I want to select all employee records which have the same employee_id with timecard and date is equal with the current date. If there are no records equal with the current date then return also the records of employee even without time-in,timeout and tc_date_transaction.   I have a JSON that returns from the server which tabs to build, so I init them in my JS like this: $('#tabs').tabs( 'ajaxOptions', { timeout: 20000, error: function(xhr, status, index, anchor){ console.log( status, index, anchor ); } }) .tabs('add', item.CategoryLink, item.CategoryName); Thing is, when I click a tab, and before it is done loading I click another tab, the previous request is aborted and never called again when I click that first one again! this is very bad, because it obviously didn't fetch the request, so what gives? I tried bypassing this by setting: .tabs({ cache: false }) but this is a bad thing to do, because I don't want to have a request each time again... it should be cachced if response was sent. using jquery-ui 1.8.1

  I'm trying to find a way to delay all code that takes place after I make a service call. The reason for this delay is that my service returns code necesarry for the following functions and the result I pass is to these following functions is undefined. • asp.net forms authentication timing out after 1 minute

  I'm using ASP.NET MVC 3 with the Authorize attribute, but it keeps kicking me to the logon page after 1 minute, but even though my expiration is set to a very high value, it times out quickly. I check the cookie in my browser and its still there and not set to expire until about a month later, and it's set to be persistent, so I'm not sure why it keeps booting me.
