• problem while switching between Portrait and landscape in android views

  I followed the django tutorial here: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/intro/tutorial01/ and now I am at creating a poll. The code below works fine until I want to create choices, where for some reason I always get this error message: line 22, in unicode return self.question AttributeError: 'Choice' object has no attribute 'question' Unfortunatley, I dont understand where I made an error. • jQuery-ajax call: async property is not working?

  Hi, given to certain circumstances, I'm forced to keep page settings (Javascript-values) in the session and it has to be done right before leaving the page (I can't use cookies, since "pageSettings" can become quite large and localStorage is not an option yet ;) ). So this is how I tried it. • Database Design for One to One relationships

  I'm trying to finalize my design of the data model for my project, and am having difficulty figuring out which way to go with it. I have a table of users, and an undetermined number of attributes that apply to that user. The attributes are in almost every case optional, so null values are allowed. Each of these attributes are one to one for the user. Should I put them on the same table, and keep adding columns when attributes are added (making the user table quite wide), or should I put each attribute on a separate table with a foreign key to the user table. I have decided against using the EAV model. Thanks!

• Retrieving selected data from DataGrid with IEnumerable<IDictionary> (Silverlight)

  I have an application that can dynamically load data into a DataGrid. What's needed is an object of IEnumerable<IDictionary>, and a List<Dictionary<string,object>> is supplied (each Dictionary in the list has exactly the same keys). The data is loaded into the DataGrid and shown, but now I want to retrieve the data the user has clicked on. Using datagrid.SelectedItem, Silverlight complains it cannot evaluate the variable, not even when type-casted. I tried keeping the List<Dictionary<string,object>> and retrieving the right data from it using datagrid.SelectedIndex, but this index changes when the DataGrid is sorted. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

  I'm trying to dynamically run a .jar from a C# assembly (using Process.Start(info)). Now, from a console application I am able to just run: ProcessStartInfo info = new ProcessStartInfo("java", "-jar somerandom.jar"); In an assembly, however, I keep getting a Win32Exception of "The system cannot find the file specified" and have to change the line to the full path of Java like so: ProcessStartInfo info = new ProcessStartInfo("C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre6\\bin\\java.exe", "-jar somerandom.jar"); This obviously won't do. I need a way to dynamically (but declaratively) determine the installed location of Java. I started thinking of looking to the registry, but when I go there I noticed that there were specific keys for the versions and that they could not even be guaranteed to be numeric (e.g. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6" and "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.6.0_20"). What would be the most reliable "long-haul" solution to finding the most up-to-date java.exe path from a C# application? Thanks much in advance.

  I have a table table1 (account, last_contact_date, insert_date), account and last_contact_date are primary keys. The insert_date is set with the time the recored being added by calling getdate(). I also have a temporary table #temp(account, last_contact_date) which I use to update the table1.   According to the documentation, I should be able to configure the size of my OpenLayers popup by declaring an OpenLayers.Size object in the FramedCloud constructor: this.popup = new OpenLayers.Popup.FramedCloud('featurePopup', this.options.feature.geometry.getBounds().getCenterLonLat(), new OpenLayers.Size(80, 60), this.template(this.formattedAttrs()), null, true, this.onPopupClose ); Currently the popup that is rendered is autosized no matter what dimensions I use in the constructor. I've tried manually setting the autosizing attribute of the FramedCloud to false as well as manually adjusting the css styling for the popup without achieving the results I need. I checked and found some similar issues in the OpenLayers 2.11 issues list, but I haven't found a workaround. Any ideas?

[AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get)] [MyCustomFilter] public ActionResult Bar(...) { ... } Now, I wish to add some logging to this CustomFilter Action .. so being a good boy, I'm using DI/IoC ... and as such wish to use this pattern for my custom FilterAttribute. So if i have the following... ILoggingService and wish to add this my custom FilterAttribute .. i'm not sure how. Like, it's easy for me to do the following... public class MyCustomFilterAttribute : FilterAttribute { public MyCustomFilterAttribute(ILoggingService loggingService) { ... } } But the compiler errors saying the attribute which decorates my ActionMethod (listed above...) requires 1 arg .. so i'm just not sure what to do :(

  Hello, Here is the problem statement : Calling a setter on the object should result in the object to change to an object of a different class, which language can support this ? Ex. I have a class called "Man" (Parent Class), and two children namely "Toddler" and "Old Man", they are its children because they override a behaviour in Man called as walk.( i.e Toddler sometimes walks using both his hands and legs kneeled down and the Old man uses a stick to support himself). The Man class has a attribute called age, I have a setter on Man,say it is called setAge(int ageValue). I have 3 objects, 2 toddlers, 1 old-Man. (The system is up and running,i guess when we say objects it is obvious) .I will make this call, toddler.setAge(80), I expect the toddler to change to an object of type Old Man.   Hi all I am using a combination of PHP, jQuery and Spry to serve a series of listboxes in which a user will select first the type of vehicle, then the make, then the model and finally the specific model. All my listboxes (SELECT) are working fine, and they update properly using the Spry elements. Each listbox is populated from a different Spry XML Dataset, and this is my problem. If I present all four listboxes to the user, the script has to go and fetch all four lots of XML to populate all four listboxes, taking several seconds. What I want to do is to create/enable the listboxes in order, so at the user selects from the first listbox, the second is created/enabled, when they select from the second, the third is created/enabled... and so on. Setting the disabled attribute is no good because the script has already fetched the XML before this is processed. Any ideas?? Si

Say I have a Hashtable<String, Object> with such keys and values: apple => 1 orange => 2 mossberg => 3 I can use the standard get method to get 1 by "apple", but what I want is getting the same value (or a list of values) by a part of the key, for example "ppl". Of course it may yield several results, in this case I want to be able to process each key-value pair. So basically similar to the LIKE '%ppl%' SQL statement, but I don't want to use a (in-memory) database just because I don't want to add unnecessary complexity. What would you recommend?

  So I'm trying to use Google Map suggest API to request place name suggestions. Unfortunately I can't find the docs for this bit. Here is an example URI: http://maps.google.com/maps/suggest?q=lon&cp=3&ll=55.0,-3.5&spn=11.9,1.2&hl=en&gl=uk&v=2 which returns: {suggestion:[{query:"London",... I want to use this in python (2.5). Now in proper JSON there would have been quotations around the keys like so: {"suggestion":[{"query":"London",... and I could have used simplejson or something, but as it is I'm a bit stuck. There are two possible solutions here; either I can get to the API code and find an option to return proper JSON, or I do that in python. Any ideas please.

  I'm looking for very simple encrypt and decrypt functionality for some data. It's not mission critical. I need something to keep honest people honest, but something a little stronger than ROT13 or Base64. I'd prefer something that is already included in the .Net framework 2.0 so I don't have to worry about any external dependencies. Pre-emptive EDIT: I really don't want to have to mess around with public/private keys, etc. I don't know much about encryption, but I do enough to know that anything I wrote would be less than worthless...in fact, I'd probably screw up the math and make it trivial to crack.

  Hello, I globally use singleton pattern in my project. To make it easier - boost::singleton. Current project uses Ogre3d library for rendering. Here is some class: class GraphicSystem : public singleton<GraphicSystem> { private: Ogre::RenderWindow *mWindow; public: Ogre::RenderWindow *getWindow() const { return mWindow; } }; In GraphicSystem constructor I fill the mWindow value: mWindow = mRoot->createRenderWindow(...); I cheked it, everything makes normally. So, now I have to use handler for the window in input system (to get window handle). Somewhere else in another class: Ogre::RenderWindow *temp = GraphicSystem::get_mutable_instance().getWindow(); GraphicSystem::get_mutable_instance().getWindow()->getCustomAttribute("WINDOW", &mWindowHandle); temp is 0x00, and there is segfault at last line (getting custon attribute). I can't understand, why does singleton returns undefined pointer for the window. All another singleton-based classes work well.

While my school account has a name associated with it, "account_name@school", my home network does not. My plan is to have a script that every hour retrieves my home network's IP address, ssh'es into my school account and updates my ssh config file storing my home network's IP address. Like people suggest in the comments it's easy buggy when you click multiple times on the same image. How can I disable the img link when it's clicked once and re-enable it when the product is added to the basket? I've tried setting the attribute HREF of to # in the beginning of the function, but that doesn't help. • Closing the iframe which was opened for "ajax uploading"

  Hello people, http://www.atwebresults.com/php_ajax_image_upload/ I am using this script for so-called AJAX file upload but which is actually based on opening of iframe and then submitting form from it. What my problem is, I am using this script in a form which will have some other fields too. So after uploading the image, when I click submit at the end of the form, the form is submitted to the file which was opened in iFrame. As I am not an expert in JS, can you guys help me with this? I tried changing the action attribute and tried to completely remove the form too, but nothing helped.
