  • Good advanced book on developing robust C# modules

    I have some experience with C#, and would like to improve my knowledge of its latest improvements. I am in the middle of reading and enjoying "Effective C#" by Bill Wagner right now. However, I would appreciate more examples, especially with lambda expressions and such. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. High quality resources are preferable, and it does not matter much if they are free or not.

    I'm trying to make good on a promise I've made to provide a decent set of documentation for a C# component that I've written. I've done some googling and found templates for software design at high and low level. The problem is that all of the templates seem to be geared towards a complete system design as opposed to individual components and are consequently overkill. Can anyone please point me in the direction of a template geared towards component documentation? Many thanks

  • Where does the query language sit within the MVC pattern?

    I'd assume that since the query language sits within the controller (typically) that it belongs to that component, but if I play devil's advocate I'd argue that the query language is execute within the domain of the model, and is tightly coupled to that component so it might also be a part of it. Anyone know the answer? Is there a straight answer or is it technology specific?

For e.g exactly like what in the yahoo mail did. In yahoo mail latest version if you attach a file that won't post back and attach that file in to server. What is the technology behind that?

  • In node.js slow readable stream attached to a faster pushing message queue eats up memory

    In my node.js program I have a response stream attached to a message queue (zeromq) delivering data at a very high rate. Due to slow network connection the response stream and its underlying implementation is unable to consume data at that pace thus occupying a lot of memory.     I'm late to the boat and have only just now started using Core Data in OS X / Cocoa - it's incredible and is really changing the way I look at things. Is there an equivalent technology in C# or the modern Windows frameworks? i.e. having managed data types where you get saving, data management, deleting, searching all for free?     I am trying to show a .tif image in matlab and I use these two line of codes a = imread('C:\Users\sepideh\Desktop\21_15.tif'); imshow(a) that encounters this warning Warning: Image is too big to fit on screen; displaying at 3% In imuitools\private\initSize at 73 In imshow at 262 what is the cause of this warning and what can I do to fix that? the main trouble is it sometimes doesn't show the image and of course even if it shows the image CPU usage gets high that I can't zoom properly
