  • PHP Recursive Function

    - by Tempname
    In my database I have a hierarchical flat table that returns data ordered by ParentID, ObjectID asc I am having a bit of an issue getting this recursive function to work properly. I get the first ParentChildChild but after that I get nothing else. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Here is my testing code: $objectArr = array(); $objectData = DAOFactory::getTemplateObjectsDAO()->queryByTemplateID(1); for($i = 0; $i < count($objectData); $i++) { if(empty($objectData[$i]->parentID)) { echo $objectData[$i]->objectID; $objectArr[$i] = $objectData[$i]; $objectArr[$i]->children = array(); $objectArr[$i]->children = getChildren($objectData[$i]->objectID, $objectData); } } function getChildren($objectID, $data) { $childArr = array(); foreach($data as $object) { if($object->parentID == $objectID) { $childArr = $object; $childArr->children = array(); $childArr->children = getChildren($object->objectID, $data); } } return $childArr; } new dBug($objectData); This is the output that I am getting: Fullsize Link

  • PHP save a page then redirect to previous page(ajax)

    - by Shiro
    Dear all, I would like to ask for how to redirect to previous page (ajax paging). Example, Let's say currently I am in page 5, then I click on one record, after I edit it, I would like to go back to that page 5 not page 1. The problem is my paging is using ajax, http://domain/photo/#5 I try to use $_SERVER[http_referer], but I only get http://domain/photo , I not able to get # and the value. What is the best way to redirect back to the previous paging. My last choice is using $_SESSION. Hope I can get better answer here. Thx.

  • How would I combine these two codes, PHP and HTML?

    - by user1887109
    This is what I have currently: <html> <body oncontextmenu="return false;" bgcolor="5385ab"> <p align=center><a href="test.php"><img src="image.png"/></a></p> </body> </html> I need the <body> part and to combine this PHP geo-redirect code with "test.php" also including the "image.png" Here is the PHP code: <?php require_once("geoip.inc"); $gi = geoip_open("/var/lib/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat",GEOIP_STANDARD); $country_code = geoip_country_code_by_addr($gi, $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']); geoip_close($gi); if($country_code == 'FR') { header('Location: http://www.test.php'); } else { header('Location: http://www.yahoo.com/'); } ?> I'm not familiar with PHP so I have no idea how to even go about testing these two together. Hope you can help! Thank you.

  • SQL returns non-array value in PHP

    - by DeadMG
    $request = 'SELECT * FROM flight WHERE Id = \''.$_SESSION['LFLightRadio'].'\''; $data = mysql_fetch_array(mysql_query($request, $SQL)); echo '<table class="table">'; foreach($data as $key => $value) { echo '<th class="head" align="center" height="19">'.$key.'</th>'; } echo '<tr>'; foreach($data as $key => $value) { echo '<td class="cell" align="center" height="19">'.$value.'</td>'; } echo '</tr></table>'; I know that the LFlightRadio value is set, and is a value returned by the Id value of a previously returned row from the flight database. So within "flight", a record definitely exists with this Id. But, this still gives me a non-array result, so that when I try to use foreach on it, it errors out. Suggestions?

  • PHP preg_match: a pattern which satisfies all MySQL field names (including 'table.field' formations)

    - by gsquare567
    i need a pattern which satisfies mysql field names, but also with the option of having a table name before it examples: mytable.myfield myfield my4732894__7289FiEld here's what i tried: $pattern = "/^[a-zA-Z0-9_]*?[\.[a-zA-Z0-9_]]?$/"; this worked for what i needed before, which was just the field name: $pattern = "/^[a-zA-Z0-9_]*$/"; any ideas why my addition isnt working? maybe i'm making up regex, so i'll explain what i added... the first '?' is to say that it isn't greedy, ie. it will stop if the next part, namely "[.[a-zA-Z0-9_]]?" is satisfied. now, that second part is just the same as the first except it is optional (hence the '?' at the end) and it starts with a period (hence the '[.' and ']' wrapping my old clause. and obviously, the "^" and "$" rep the beginning and end of the string so... any ideas? (also, i'm a tad confused as to why i need to put in those "/"s in the begining/end anyways, so if you could tell me why it's required, that'd be awesome) thanks a lot! (and thanks for reading this all if you actually did... it's quite a ramble)

    while working on facebook connect I have to retrieve an access token from a url ( it is not in the url itself but in the file lined to that url) so this is what I do $url = "https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?client_id=".$facebook_app_id."&redirect_uri=http://www.example.com/facebook/oauth/&client_secret=".$facebook_secret."&code=".$code;" function get_string_between($string, $start, $end){ $string = " ".$string; $ini = strpos($string,$start); if ($ini == 0) return ""; $ini += strlen($start); $len = strpos($string,$end,$ini) - $ini; return substr($string,$ini,$len); } $access_token = get_string_between(file_get_contents($url), "access_token=", "&expires="); it looks ugly and clumsy is there a better way to do it ? thank you .

  • PHP Header redirection problem within page called by cURL

    - by Das123
    I have a site that uses cURL to access some pages, stores the returned results in variables, and then uses these variables within its own page. The script works well except where the target cURL page has a header('Location: ...') command inside it. It seems to just ignore this header command. The cURL command is as follows... //Load result page into variable so portions can be allocated to correct variables $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); # URL to post to curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1 ); # return into a variable curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $postfields); $loaded_result = curl_exec( $ch ); # run! curl_close($ch); I've tried changing the CURLOPT_HEADER to 1 but it doesn't do anything. So how can I allow script redirection within the target urls using cURL to grab the results? By the way, the pages work fine if accessed other than via cURL but iFrames are not an option in this instance.

  • PHP sql with foreach loop variable problem

    - by anthony
    This is really getting frustrating. I have a text file that I'm reading for a list of part numbers that goes into an array. I'm using the following foreach function to search a database for matching numbers. $file = file('parts_array.txt'); foreach ($file as $newPart) { $sql = "SELECT products_sku FROM products WHERE products_sku='" . $newPart . "'"; $rs = mysql_query($sql); $num_rows = mysql_num_rows($rs); echo $num_rows; echo "<br />"; } The problem is I'm getting 0 rows returned from mysql_num_rows. I can type the sql statement without the variable and it works perfectly. I can even echo out the sql statement from this script, copy and paste the statement from the browser and it works. But, for some reason I'm not getting any records when I'm using the variable. I've used variables in sql statements tons of times, but this really has me stumped.

  • MySQL order by error in PHP

    - by theflyinghaiwian
    Hi, I'm making a simple cms system for a site I'm making for non-tech users to edit... So far so good but when I try and run this code I keep getting: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''pages' ORDER BY 'pages'.'pageOrder' ASC LIMIT 0 , 30' at line 1 By the error it looks like a problem with the order by section and indeed it works without it... $sql = "SELECT * FROM 'pages' ORDER BY 'pages'.'pageOrder' ASC LIMIT 0 , 30"; $result = mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); Now I know there is nothing wrong with the code because originally I wrote my own SQL but then after it failed I robbed some from phpmyadmin and it still gives the error but it works in phpmyadmin... I'm really at my wits end with this, help is very much appreciated thank you...

Can someone please post code which will: let me update/save any changed data for that row (for UPDATE button) let me delete that row (for DELETE button) PLEASE copy n paste the code below and try for yourself. I would like to keep the output format of the script below too. thanks D- $file = "data.txt"; $name = $_POST['name']; $url = $_POST['url']; $data = file('data.txt'); $i = 1; foreach ($data as $line) { $line = explode('|', $line); $i++; } if (isset($_POST['submits'])) { $fp = fopen($file, "a+"); fwrite($fp, $i."|".$name."|".$url."|\n"); fclose($fp); } ? I want to sort the properties of an object so I can loop through them in a defined order. for example: I have an object 'book' with the following properties: 'id', 'title', 'author', 'date'. Now i want to loop through these properties like this: foreach($book as $prop=>$val) //do something now the order of the loop has to be 'title', then 'author', 'date' and 'id' How would one do this? (I can't change the order of the properties in the class of the object because there arent any properties defined there, I get the object from the database with 'MyActiveRecord')

  • How to implement callback methods inside classes (PHP)

    - by sombe
    I need to use a class callback method on an array inside another method (the callback function belongs to the class). class Database { public function escape_string_for_db($string){ return mysql_real_escape_string($string); } public function escape_all_array($array){ return array_filter($array,"$this->escape_string_for_db"); } } Is this the right way to go about that? (I mean, in terms of the second parameter passed to array_filter)
