  • Android "Hello World" tutorial program. Error: [Parse Error] There is a problem parsing the package

    Today I decided to start developing for the Android OS. I went on their website, downloaded all the required software (Eclipse, The Android SDK, ADT Plugin for Eclipse etc.). I followed the "Hello World" tutorial supplied (link text). I have it using the Android SDK 2.1. The program worked almost flawlessly. It runs fine on the Android emulator, but doesn't install on any Android phones. I don't own an Android phone, so I had three of my friends try to install the program on theirs. The phones we used were: ROOTED G1 running 2.1 Droid running 2.1 Another Droid running 2.1 I emailed the .apk to myself in gmail, and accessed it via the Android emulator. It ran and installed the package just fine. However, when my friends tried to install it on their phones, they were all met with this error: "[Parse Error] There is a problem parsing the package" I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what may be wrong. NoProxy doesn't seem to work. (The reason I would like to do this is I have below global rules which create a 502 proxy loop if applied within this virtual host #pass all requests to application server ProxyPass /test http://localhost:8080/test ProxyPassReverse /test http://localhost:8080/test ) What I'm trying to do is, serve all static content (like css) using apache, while still proxying all the rest of requests to the application server.

  • The HTML5 doctype is not triggering standards mode in IE8

    i work for a company where all our sites currently use the XHTML 1.0 transitional doctype (yes i know it is very old school). I want to change them all to use the HTML5 doctype seeing as it is backwards compatible. One of the reasons why i want to make the switch is because in IE8 if someone has the developer tools installed then the old XHTML doctype switches the browser into compatibility mode and renders the page as IE7. From reading up on it i was led to believe that the HTML5 doctype will set any page to render in standards mode, but this is not happening when i test it on our staging server it still flips into IE7 rendering mode. The weird thing is if i save the page with HTML5 doctype locally and open it, it is rendering in IE8 standards mode. There must be something else causing it to drop into compatibility IE7 rendering. Any ideas what this could be?     I created a SQL server compact database (MyDatabase.sdf), and populated it with some data. I then ran SQLMetal.exe and generated a linq to sql class (MyDatabase.mdf) Now I'm trying to select all records from a table with a relatively straightforward select, and I get the error: "There was an error parsing the query. [ Token line number = 3,Token line offset = 67,Token in error = MAX]" Here is my select code: public IEnumerable ListItems() { MyDatabase db_m = new MyDatabase("c:\mydatabase.sdf"); return this.db_m.TestTable.Select(test = new Item() { .... } } I've read that Linq to SQL works with Sql Compact, is there some other configuration I need to do?

    Normally I use <base href="http://domain.com/" /><!--[if ie]></base><![endif]--> I haven't tried much with RewriteBase, I normally get confused and keep changing it till it works. Which method would be best, I obviously find the best solution because the links stay the same so that no links are broken most of the time when attaching a css file, e.g. http://domain.com/css/main.css It just always stay the same when accessing to sub-directories. Although, when I don't use the tag, and I access to a sub directory, it breaks the css links when I use <link href="css/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> As my PHP documents would include the header, <?php include("include/global_header.php"); ?> If I do that without the I would have to use: <link href="../css/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> Which can break when accessing to a sub-directory. So... does the RewriteBase work the same as the ? Your thoughts.

    Hello, I'm trying to read a css file with the Resources provided by Spring. My application looks like this: src src/com herer my classes inside packages WebContent WebContent/resources/style/myCSS.css -- the css I want to read WebContent/WEB-INF -- here is my application-context.xml I can get the css and read it by doing something like this: UrlResource file = new UrlResource("http://localhost:8080/myApp/resources/style/myCSS.css"); but it depends on the server and aplication names. I've tried to do it by other implementations of Resource Interface, but the file is not found cause I can't find out how to wite the path. I've tried with this: FileSystemResource file = new FileSystemResource("/WebContent/resources/style/myCSS.css"); I also tried with wildcards, but it doesn't find the file either. ApplicationContext ctx = new FileSystemXmlApplicationContext("classpath*:/WEB-INF/application-context-core.xml"); Resource file = ctx.getResource("file:**/myCSS.css"); How should I write the path to get the css. Thanks.

  • Can I use ANTLR for both two-way parsing/generating?

    Hi all, I need to both parse incoming messages and generate outgoing messages in EDIFACT format (basically a structured delimited format). I would like to have a Java model that will be generated by parsing a message. Then I would like to use the same model to create an instance and generate a message. The first half is fine, I've used ANTLR before to go from raw - Java objects. But I've never done the reverse, or if I have it's been custom. Does ANTLR support generating using a grammar or is it really just a parse-only tool?

    I am reading a file that is filled with hex numbers. I have to identify a particular pattern, say "aaad" (without quotes) from it. Every time I see the pattern, I generate some data to some other file. This would be a very common case in designing programs - parsing and looking for a particular pattern. I have designed it as a Finite State Machine and structured structured it in C using switch-case to change states. This was the first implementation that occured to me. DESIGN: Are there some better designs possible? IMPLEMENTATION: Do you see some problems with using a switch case as I mentioned?

In my program the stylesheet is present inside css directory and the page is present inside another directory named JSP.   • Stuck with the math in a Flash project, would parsing engine help?

    I've been stuck with the math in a Flash project? It's a loose design pattern my director formulated. My goal is to keep the project object oriented, and get 'non Flash obstacles' off my plate. Do you recommend using parsing engines for processing math? XML values going to AS3, updating a changing acceleration formula. I don't hate math, but it just doesn't seem OOP or good project planning to have the math stuck in Flash. Your comments are welcome.

So then is my conclusion correct, that this inability to provide a reference to an object value, as an object key in a string literal; is this strictly an interpreter/parsing issue?   • ASP.NET/IIS: Tell IIS do not check for file existence

    In my Global.asax.cs, I have: routes.MapRoute("AssetCss", "css/{*path}", new { controller = "Asset", action = "Index" }); I also have this in a view: <link href="/css/Root/index.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The problem is that the AssetController does not invoke Index when /css/Root/index.css is requested. This is because a file actually exists at the path /css/Root/index.css. If I recall correctly, there's a checkbox setting in IIS that basically says "Do not check that a file actually exists at the request path [instead, let the RouteTable handle it]." (At least there is in IIS 6.) Is there something I can put in my Web.config that sets this IIS setting to true? How do I tell IIS to let my MVC routes handle the path even if a file exists at the path?

  • Best practices for parsing HTML from Wikipedia for iPhone viewing?

    I am building an iPhone Wikipeida game app, that requires modifying the default Wiki HTML a little bit (mostly simplifying the page). So far I am directly downloading the HTML output from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Foo to a python Google App Engine, and then modify its CSS and HTML structure, cache it, and finally output to iPhone. It works but I find this method quite tedious, there must be a better method? Please note that I use App Engine not just for parsing the Wiki, but the game also requires it to keep the stores...etc, hence not a overkill. Also, I would prefer doing all the work with python on App Engine, to keep the iPhone client as thin and mobile as possible (XML on iPhone is a big no fun) Thanks a lot.

    I have a dev project setup in a subfolder on my testing machine and it must stay there. However all the Zend frameworks views are linked to server root. CSS are linked like: <link type="text/css" href="<?php echo $this->baseUrl('/css/frontend.css') ?>" rel="Stylesheet" /> Which must be stayed this way, but it should link to localhost/a/b/c/prj1/css/frontend.css How can I setup a global subdirectory for this?
