    My application is a non-relational database application with a tcl interface to retrieve data. I would like to add SQL programming interface to my application. Is there any library that converts SQL/PLSQL statements to API calls? It should also support stored procedures.   • Is there any way to notify IE about changes done in registry via code?

    Hi, I have done changes in registry (proxy settings) via Windows programming code. I have to restart (reopen) Internet Explorer each time I run the code to make those changes take effect. Is there any API in Windows programming through which I can notify Internet Explorer or Windows that changes are made to the registry and there will not be any need to reopen Internet Explorer to make those changes take effect?     Hi, For my work, I need to create a service that will detect an abnormal program termination and, instead of displaying a message to the user (default behavior), send the generated core dump to a remote server.     I am not sure if this belongs on serverfault or superuser. I would like to override SetThreadExecutionState(ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED) to be a no-op. How is this accomplished? Is there some registry setting that can be altered instead of API hooking? Blocking ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED will prevent apps from keeping the monitor powered on. I have an application (likely the antivirus) that is preventing some monitors from entering power-save and I think this function is the culprit.

    I'm writing an Apache module and want to get a string with the Apache name version and other details. Much like what gets added to outgoing headers, e.g.: Server: Apache/2.2.13 (Win32) I've tried code like this: apr_table_get(request_rec->headers_out,"Server") But that doesn't seem to work. Is there an API call I haven't found or am I doomed to get version resource data from httpd.exe?

    I am trying to use the Sunlight API gem with a Rails project. I have installed the gem and can successfully use it from irb. However, when I put the require statement (require 'sunlight') in sunlight.rb in config/initializers, I get the following error: /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-3.0.0.beta3/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:209:in `require': no such file to load -- sunlight (LoadError) I checked the permissions on the gems directory, and it is world readable/executable.   • Android runs OpenGL ES 1.1 or 1.0?

    I'm developing a native app for Android and I'm trying to use functions such as glIsEnabled which appear to be only available in OpenGL ES 1.1. Google's docs claim that NDK 1.6R1 supports OpenGL ES v1.1 but the function call fails with "unimplemented Open GL ES API" and if i do a glGetString(GL_VERSION) it returns "OpenGL ES 1.0 CM" as the version. So if 1.1 is available, what do I have to link against to get it or what else do i need to change to get it?

    I wonder whether there's a way to program a resource DLL for Windows Clusters in Delphi. I want to write a program that observes cluster state changes. Judging from the MSDN API reference, all relevant functions are located in the ClusAPI.h and ResAPI.h headers, but unfortunately it seems as if they haven't been ported yet and HeaderConv seems to fail on them. Does anyone has experience in doing such a thing?

  • Grails populate params with XML from POST request

    I have a RestFull grails api that i expose through grails Controller. I need to automatically bind the xml data sent in a POST request. I don't think using groovy bindData(object,params) works as the params reference seems not having the xml elements. i use the parseRequest=true in the UrlMappings but yet the params Object does'nt have the xml elements. am i missing some other config so that my params object get automatically populated with the xml body elements?

    Is there a way to reuse SSL socket connections on the iPhone. I'm seeing an extra 3-4 second overhead in doing SSL handshaking. I'm using NSURLconnection currently to do the API calls and each one of them is taking 4-5 seconds on Wifi. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
