I would like to set up a script which encodes all of the files in this folder into .flvs with the appropriate size, frame rate, etc and then moves them to another folder. I have been looking for a command line .wmv to .flv converter to do this without much success. Has someone automatically encoded .wmvs to .flvs before that can point me in the right direction?

  Under uTorrent version 3.1.3 (and possibly earlier), the context menu has taken on 2 new options, "Transfer To...", for moving a download to a mobile device, and "Show Converted Files", for built-in conversion. I prefer to do all my file management and conversions manually, and the options are, at best, annoying space wasters. In fact, I'm not sure these features are even available outside of uTorrent Plus, which is not something I run. Is it possible to remove them from the context menu?

  I am trying to use rsync to replicate all the files from one web server to another server that could act as a backup if the first one went down. The problem I am having is that the .htaccess file requires the AuthUserFile to have the fully quallified path to the .htpasswd file and I cannot make the paths the same on the two machines.   I downloaded some mkv/mp4 files with my new router (I can download directly from it, using transmission), and all of them seem to be corrupted: lags, strange artifacts when using vlc, crashes with mp4, etc. When a downloaded part is corrupted, transmission warns you and downloads that part again. My question is: even after the transmission verification, is it possible that the downloaded file is still corrupt?

  I want to compress a large nuber of files that have near identical headers, and also some data, however I do not wish to archive them, nor do I wish to zip them individually(because the copression ratio would be much higher if substitutions of similar blocks could be done using a single table).
