  Is there a way to break the line in a line-chart, if the gap between 2 values on the x axis is bigger then a given value? For example there are 20 values but the first 13 are close to each other on the x axis and should be connected with a line, but the other 7 are a bit far from these and should be connected with another line.   I have an application that performs a little slow over the internet due to bandwidth reasons. I have enabled GZip which has improved download time by a significant amout, but I was also considering whether or not I could switch from XML to JSON in order to squeeze out that last bit of performance. Would using JSON make the message size significantly smaller, or just somewhat smaller? Let's say we're talking about 250kB of XML data (which compresses to 30kB).

  Ok so i'm executing the following line of code in javascript RegExp('(http:\/\/t.co\/)[a-zA-Z0-9\-\.]{8}').exec(tcont); where tcont is equal to some string like 'Test tweet to http://t.co/GXmaUyNL' (the content of a tweet obtained by jquery). However it is returning, in the case above for example, 'http://t.co/GXmaUyNL,http://t.co/'. This is frustracting because I want the url without the bit on the end - after and including the comma. Any ideas why this is appearing? Thanks

  Using simple type like class A { public int X, Y; } with object intializers, one can write var a = new A { X=0, Y=0 }; But the following is also accepted by the compiler: var a = new A { X=0, Y=0, }; // notice the additional ',' Same for int[] v = new int[] { 1, 2, }; This looks a bit strange ... Did they forgot to reject the additional ',' in the compiler or is there a deeper meaning behind this?

  I am going to use forms authentication but I want to be able to link the asp.net users to some tables in the db for example If I have a class and students (as roles) I'll have a class students table. I'm planning to put in a Users table containing a simple int userid and ASP.NET username in there and put userid wherever I want to link the users.
