    Did any one have luck recently register Visual studio 2008 express C# product? Look like, I would have to reformat my computer and install every thing all over again. I un-installed it and installed VS2008 express again but it will not start because it demands registration. When I click the register button, the website launches and hour glass spins forever. It appears that MS Express edition registration site may not be working. Please help..

    Hi guys! As a CSS newbie I'm wondering if it's recommended by professionals to repeat specific style attributes and their not inherited but default properties for every relevant selector? For example, should I rather use body {background:transparent none no-repeat; border:0 none transparent; margin:0; padding:0;} img {background:transparent none no-repeat; border:0 none transparent; margin:0; outline:transparent none 0; padding:0;} div#someID {background:transparent none no-repeat; border:0 none; margin:0 auto; padding:0; text-align:left; width:720px; ...} or body {background:transparent; border:0; margin:0; padding:0;} img {background:transparent; border:0; margin:0; outline:0; padding:0;} div#someID {background:transparent; border:0; margin:0 auto; padding:0; text-align:left; width:720px; ...} or just what (I think) I really need body {background:transparent; margin:0; padding:0;} img {border:0; outline:0;} div#someID {margin:0 auto; width:720px; ...} If it's best practice to go with the first or second one what do you think about defining a class like .foo {background:transparent; border:0; margin:0; padding:0;} and then applying it to every relevant selector: <div id="someID" class="foo">...</div> Yep, now I'm totally confused... so please advise!     I am using a ModelForm to create a form, and I have gotten the initial values set for every field in the form except for the one that is a ManyToMany field. I understand that I need to give it a list, but I can't get it to work. My code right now is roughly: contacts = userProfile.contact.all() initial = {'contacts': contacts} But that doesn't work. Am I missing something here?

    Hello, I want to replace only the first matching element in a string instead of replacing every matching element in a string $str = 'abc abc abc'; $find = 'abc'; $replace = 'def'; echo mb_ereg_replace( $find, $replace, $str ); This will return "def def def". What would I need to change in the $find or $replace parameter in order to get it to return "def abc abc"?

    Hello EveryOne, i m using asp.NET MVC 2 for my current project and i need to validate form fields both on client and server side. for that i started with DataAnnotations. Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality.   • Are hash collisions with different file sizes just as likely as same file size?

    I'm hashing a large number of files, and to avoid hash collisions, I'm also storing a file's original size - that way, even if there's a hash collision, it's extremely unlikely that the file sizes will also be identical. Is this sound (a hash collision is equally likely to be of any size), or do I need another piece of information (if a collision is more likely to also be the same length as the original). Or, more generally: Is every file just as likely to produce a particular hash, regardless of original file size?

  • jQuery.ajax(): discard slow requests

    I've build a livesearch with the jQuery.ajax() method. On every keyup events it receives new result data from the server. The problem is, when I'm typing very fast, e.g. "foobar" and the GET request of "fooba" requires more time than the "foobar" request, the results of "fooba" are shown. To handle this with the timeout parameter is impossible, I think. Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

I'm wondering what effects this might have have on the sdcard and its life. My BufferedWriter's buffer size is to 1024, I'm also wondering if that is too small or too big.

    I want to cleanup the database after every test case without rolling back the transaction. I have tried DBUnit's DatabaseOperation.DELETE_ALL, but it does not work if a deletion violates a foreign key constraint. I know that I can disable foreign key checks, but that would also disable the checks for the tests (which I want to prevent). I'm using JUnit 4, JPA 2.0 (Eclipselink), and Derby's in-memory database.
