    Is there a way to find out the final location of my animated "object" after the animation? Let's say I am animating an ImageView with location in parent as (0,0 - 20,20) using TranslateAnimation and ScaleAnimation over 1 second with setFillAfter(true). How to I find the final location of this "object" (since the View location itself does not move)? I need to continue the animation from this point based on an user input.

  • why is win7/ie8 favorites the start menu? [closed]

    does anyone know why Win7 Pro IE8 favorites are really the programs in the start menu? I don't see the point, there are usually tons of folders here so it is hard to find internet shortcuts, and why would I want to open a program from IE? I don't like to IE but Firefox usually freezes up on Win7 after 15 minutes...so I am using IE8 more and more. any ideas? thanks

I have successfully compiled ruby 1.9.1 without problems, but I cannot find any documentation regarding irb. I believe that irb is included in the ruby 1.9 source, but have not been able to verify this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • PHPUnit not working with netbeans 7.2.1

    I have just upgraded to netbeans 7.2.1 and phpunit is not working. I get the error:- Cannot run program C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5\PEAR\phpunit-skelgen": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application" when I try to generate PHPUnit tests. The only thing I can think of is that I seem to have a 64 bit version of netbeans installed - could this be the problem? If so, can anyone point me to a 32 bit version, because I couldn't see one on the website?

  • A better UPDATE method in LINQ to SQL

    The below is a typical, for me, Update method in L2S. I am still fairly new to a lot of this(L2S & business app development) but this just FEELs wrong. Like there MUST be a smarter way of doing this. Unfortunately, I am having trouble visualizing it and am hoping someone can provide an example or point me in the right direction. To take a stab in the dark, would I have a Person Object that has all these fields as Properties? Then what, though? Is that redundant since L2S already mapped my Person Table to a Class? Is this just 'how it goes', that you eventually end up passing 30 parameters(or MORE) to an UPDATE statement at some point? For reference, this is a business app using C#, WinForms, .Net 3.5, and L2S over SQL 2005 Standard. Here is a typical Update Call for me. This is in a file(BLLConnect.cs) with other CRUD methods.     Hi, sometimes after logging out and in again, my settings in Tools/Options/Projects and Solutions/VC++ Directories are lost. To investigate the problem I tried to find the file where Visual Studio (2008 Team) stores those settings on disk. (Or is it in the registry?) Can anybody point me to where it is? Thanks a lot!

    Hi, Could somebody point out the necessary rights to do something like ALTER TABLE myTable ADD myColumn int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT [Constraint_name] DEFAULT ((0)) ? I assumed grant alter on myTable to [user] was enough but I'm getting the error message The UPDATE permission was denied on the object 'myTable', database 'x', schema 'dbo'. Could UPDATE rights be needed because of the DEFAULT constraint? Thanks.

    ** EDIT: Rephrased the question to re-focus ** Our Scrum team meets as seldomly as possible, but we meet with the product owner every chance we get. We track everyone's agreed action points (particularly theirs). We are 100% agile, but our product owner lives in traditional world, we remain off-site. We facilitate him in crossing over to our fast-paced world. There's not much wrong. The team and the PO are in good spirits. PO is present at every meeting and positively energized. Just imagine this person as a 70 year old, slow grandpa, who is forgetful, yet kind. In reality he isn't, but he is used to a working environment (public servants) that is much slooooower. Manyana-manyana etc. It is frustrating for my team to cooperate: PO lives in a non-prioritized environment, and everyone in it has learned the productivity-technique of NGTD (Not Getting Things Done). He WANTS to, it's just that he forgets or 'sinks' somewhere along the away. We have experimented with a text file, maintained by the Scrum master (low-tech), which he broadcasts by e-mail every day JIRA, our issue tracker. Turns out this is nice for programmers, but too steep for 'regular people' I Googled for Issue tracking webtools but came up empty handed: All tools are aimed at IT issue tracking, instead of meeting action point tracking/planning for mere mortals. I did find TODO-lists like RememberTheMilk, but they don't track comments, and - to be honest - I doubt we could get our product owner to use it (too complicated). We have three requirements: Register action points, assign to a team member and a deadline Offer anyone to 'comment' on progress of any action point Do not build our own tool from scratch We do not need: - impressive authorization models, - multi-project, - workflow, - crosslinking. Is there any trick/tool you use to assist your product owner 'fly' like the rest of the rest of the team? Communication before tools I agree with the general consensus that one should not try to apply technology to a communication problem, however in this case I am merely looking for a tool to save me time in setting up prioritized lists. I found www.thymer.com today, may be what I am looking for. The guys are cool. It is getting rather feature-bloated though.

  • Rails 3 NameError (cannot remove Object::Version) error

    Can anyone point me at what might be causing this error? There is no ApplicationTrace, and it locks the server hard on my development machine. I think it has something to do with the way rails reloads your classes in development mode, and it appears to have something to do with a Version constant. I can't find a reference to this though. Given that, what is the best free WebDAV client for Windows? I think something like Filezilla, but for WebDAV, would be ideal.
