  I am trying to set up IBatis.NET. I have downloaded the sources from http://mybatisnet.googlecode.com/svn/branches/ibatis-1-maintenance/src. This is my initialization DomDaoManagerBuilder builder = new DomDaoManagerBuilder(); builder.Configure("dao.config"); IDaoManager daoManager = DaoManager.GetInstance("SqlMapDao"); customerDao = daoManager[typeof(ICustomerDao)]; ICustomerDao cd = (ICustomerDao) customerDao; The last line throws InvalidCastException "Unable to cast object of type 'Castle.Proxies.IDaoProxy' to type 'SysProt.Dao.ICustomerDao'." • BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath ignores compiled code

  This question is related to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2158425/why-cant-i-publish-mvc-project I've replaced System.Web.MVC with its source version. After some debugging I pinpointed my problem to line 50 of WebFormViewEngine.cs: protected override bool FileExists(ControllerContext controllerContext, string virtualPath) { try { object viewInstance = BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath(virtualPath, typeof(object)); return viewInstance != null; } For reasons unknown to me, BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath tries to find masterpage.aspx.vb file which does not exist because MVC application is published. What makes BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath behave this way, and how to debug? I've tried this with new blank MVC project. After publishing it and stopping at above location, BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath creates an instance without trying to compile anything.

• Non-resizeable, bordered WPF Windows with WindowStyle=None

  Basically, I need a window to look like the following image: http://screenshots.thex9.net/2010-05-31_2132.png (Is NOT resizeable, yet retains the glass border) I've managed to get it working with Windows Forms, but I need to be using WPF.   When trying to call (DLLImport) an external c++ dll from a .net application that has a manifest file with requireAdministrator, I get this error trying to call function from the C++ dll in Windows 7 with UAC enabled.   Hi All, I'm currently struggling with this "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute" issue. I have searched about this error message, and it's all related to the foreach statement. I do have the some foreach statements, but they are just simply representing the data. I did not using any remove or add inside the foreach statement. NOTE: The error randomly happens (about 4-5 times a day). The application is the MVC website. There are about 5 users operate this applications (about 150 orders a day). Could it be some another users modified the collection, and then occur this error? I have log4net setup and the settings can be found here Make sure that the controller has a parameterless public constructor I do have parameterless public constructor in AdminProductController Does anyone know why this happen and how to resolve this issue? A friend (Oskar) mentioned that "Theory: Maybe the problem is that your configuration and session factory is initialized on the first request after application restart. If a second request comes in before the first request is finished, maybe it will also try to initialize and then triggering this problem somehow." Many thanks. It it almost completed, please follow simple steps to see where my problem dwells: step1: click on any continent highlighted on world map; step2: click on any city marked on continent map; step3: enter quantity ranging from 1 to 6 into the upper-right table; step4 : there you go, in the table below, once row is equal or greater than 3, then the size of table starts to "overlap" on top of the footer section and continues to grow, which is not what I want. I want to achieve the effect that the table size has a limited max-height, so once actual height exceeds the threshold, then I can have a vertical scroll bar so to "stack up" my table and not to break the overall structure. It turns out that my lazy initial design now gets myself stuck in a problem... Any suggestion and hint on how to get this?

• Using IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) for ASP.NET MVC

  I use a simple ASP.NET MVC web (the template you use when you create a new site) and the web works as expected in my live environment. I now try to use IIS Application Request Routing version 2. I have a rule that send all reuqests to a different server that match a rule. The settings are a bit like this: http://blogs.iis.net/wonyoo/archive/2008/07/09/application-request-routing-arr-as-a-reverse-proxy.aspx My rule is just a bit different it is /shop(.*). Only requests that contain shop are send to a different server. I have to use rewrite, not redirect (The same as in the Picture) This works as long as the web the original requests go to is no ASP.NET MVC web. I tried to use a plain htm file in the webfolder and it worked. If put a compiled ASP.NET application into the webfolder it worked. But as soon as I put an ASP.NET MVC web into the folder, request arr served by this application. My understanding is that the ARR should kick in before the web application gets the chance to handle the request. Did anybody use ARR sucessfully as a reverse proxy for a ASP.NET MVC web? EDIT Here is the resulting web config when the rewrite roule is entered.   I was looking for a way to route http://www.example.com/WebService.asmx to http://www.example.com/service/ using only the ASP.NET 3.5 Routing framework without needing to configure the IIS server. Until now I have done what most tutorials told me, added a reference to the routing assembly, configured stuff in the web.config, added this to the Global.asax: protected void Application_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { RouteCollection routes = RouteTable.Routes; routes.Add( "WebService", new Route("service/{*Action}", new WebServiceRouteHandler()) ); } ...created this class: public class WebServiceRouteHandler : IRouteHandler { public IHttpHandler GetHttpHandler(RequestContext requestContext) { // What now? } } ...and the problem is right there, I don't know what to do. The tutorials and guides I've read use routing for pages, not webservices. Is this even possible? Ps: The route handler is working, I can visit /service/ and it throws the NotImplementedException I left in the GetHttpHandler method.

  I get "migration issue" warnings when I use mouse/keyboard input handler names such as onMouseDown, onKeyUp, etc. These names are perfectly legal, but sensibly, we are now warned that their use is no longer automatic in ActionScript 3. I want to suppress these warnings, but without suppressing all other warnings, which I find useful. E.g., when I use code like this: protected override function onMouseDown(e:MouseEvent):void { I get an annoying warning like this: Warning: 1090: Migration issue: The onMouseDown event handler is not triggered automatically by Flash Player at run time in ActionScript 3.0. • SmartGWT Canvas width problem

  I am having problems with showing my entire SmartGWT Canvas on my initial page. I've stripped everything out and am left with an extremely basic EntryPoint to illustrate my issue. When I just create a Canvas and add it to the root panel, I get a horizontal scrollbar in my browser. Can anyone explain why and what I can do to have the Canvas sized to the width of the window? • Disable browser 'Save Password' functionality

  One of the joys of working for a government healthcare agency is having to deal with all of the paranoia around dealing with PHI (Protected Health Information). Don't get me wrong, I'm all for doing everything possible to protect people's personal information (health, financial, surfing habits, etc.), but sometimes people get a little too jumpy. Case in point: One of our state customers recently found out that the browser provides the handy feature to save your password. We all know that it has been there for a while and is completely optional and is up to the end user to decide whether or not it is a smart decision to use or not. However, there is a bit of an uproar at the moment and we are being demanded to find a way to disable that functionality for our site. Question: Is there a way for a site to tell the browser not to offer to remember passwords? I've been around web development a long time but don't know that I have come across that before.
