  • using javascript onchange to fill a calendar

  • SSH login very slow on OS X Leopard

    My SSH sessions take a very long time to initiate. This applies for logins with and without passwords, interactive and non-interactive. I have tried setting 'GSSAPIAuthentication no' and 'IPQoS 0x00' on the client side, and 'UseDNS no' on the server side, but no dice. I'm really stumped and frustrated. The worst part is that it SFTP takes forever to establish connections too, making file transfer much longer than it would be otherwise. I thought the problem might be something with PAM, because of where the hang is in the sshd log below, so I tried commenting out each line one-by-one in the /etc/pam.d/sshd file. Some caused login to be impossible, some had no apparent effect. I can't really tell if PAM is stalling for other services, but I can say that su'ing into my account from another account with 'su -l' has no apparent delay. I tried creating a new user account, just to see if there was something wrong with my existing account, and the same problem persisted. Any ideas of what's going on?     Is is possible to execute a JQuery function by injecting it into the page? IT CAN'T be attached to the .ready function. The reason is that the user will be uploading an image via iframe.     I am trying to code this for hours and still couldn't do it. It keep tell me "Permission Denied". Here is what I am trying to accomplish. This pretty hard to explain please follow the example below. For example. domain111.com and domain222.com. When I am on domain111.com i click on the popup link , it will pop-up the domain111.com/popup.html then it redirect me to domain222.com. On this domain222.com it will redirect to couple pages before it redirect back to domain111.com with the result. I want to send the result from domain111.com to domain111.com. I would expect the datepicker UI element to show up, but instead I get: "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method" on the $("#dDueDate").datepicker(); Ideas? It is probably a very simple mistake, so don't over-analyze. As I said, this is the first time I've dealt with MVC or JQuery so I'm lost as to where to start.

    hello All, I am new to the programming world of dojo and web applications. I am trying to acomplish a task where I want to manipulate the textbox value with some text. I tried everything including some code from dojocampus, but even this code doesnot do anything.     I can't get the table row to fade out in IE. It works in Chrome, but not IE. It just becomes really 'light' and stays on the screen. Problem is, that this is my first Python script ever and I'm totally confused about the character encoding problems I'm finding.   • Need to get a file written to a floppy.

    I asked this question over on SO. I have tried dd if=kernel.sys of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 seek=1 to get this file to write to the floppy. It is a kernel shell that must be written to the sector immediately following the bootsector of a disk to boot the PC. No matter what I've tried, for some reason, kernel.sys is not writing to the floppy. I know the bootstrap loader is being written and executed. However, it cannot find the kernel to load the shell. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I mean, really, how is it so difficult to get this file written to a floppy? OpenSUSE 11.2

  • Browser security when calling HTTP assets via a SWF on a HTTPS site

    We have a site that runs on HTTPS and needs to pull in various JS assets to run a video player on the page. We get a browser security warning on this page because the JS files we are externally calling are being accessed via HTTP, not HTTPS. E.g. // HTTP reference on a HTTPS site <script src="http://the-cdn.tld/player.js"></script> Simply accessing this one JS assets via HTTP and not HTTPS will cause the browser security warning which we need to get rid of. The provider of the JS file does not support an HTTPS equivalent (like Google Analytics does). We would ideally love to just do the following, but the provider does not have this: // HTTPS reference on a HTTPS site <script src="https://the-cdn.tld/player.js"></script> One option we had was to just download a copy of the JS file and serve it on the HTTPS site, however we have concerns with this as it is not recommended by the provider and will not include updates from them. Assuming we cannot do that, we were thinking a possible other option would be to use a SWF file as a proxy. We were thinking that we could have one of our flash guys create a SWF that loads in the HTTP-served JS file to the page. We were wondering that if this SWF makes the request, would that prevent the browser from showing the security warning or not? I assumed that we would still see the warning since the SWF is still making the request through the browser, but I wanted to see what the hive mind thinks.

    I have a small HTTP server script I've written using eventmachine which needs to call external scripts/commands and does so via backticks (``). When serving up requests which don't run backticked code, everything is fine, however, as soon as my EM code executes any backticked external script, it stops serving requests and stops executing in general. I noticed eventmachine seems to be sensitive to sub-processes and/or threads, and appears to have the popen method for this purpose, but EM's source warns that this method doesn't work under Windows. Many of the machines running this script are running Windows, so I can't use popen. Am I out of luck here? Is there a safe way to run an external command from an eventmachine script under Windows? Is there any way I could fire off some commands to be run externally without blocking EM's execution? edit: the culprit that seems to be screwing up EM the most is my usage of the Windows start command, as in: start java myclass. The reason I'm using start is because I want those external scripts to start running and keep running after the EM request is served

  • webserver running as nobody cannot resolve domain names

    if i try to run the following: <?php echo file_get_contents("http://www.yahoo.com/index.html"); ?> through the web server I get a an "php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo" error. If I run the same file from the shell with: php test.php then I get the expected file output. This indicates to me that the 'nobody' user, which the webserver runs as, is not able to resolve the domain name, but the shell user can. Any ideas on how to fix this? Further info: CentOS 6, cPanel install, Apache, PHP running as dso. BTW, I've tried disabling the firewall to no effect.
