• Windows Media Player on top other DIV

  I have an embed window media player which is always on top of other DIV tags. I used wmode = opaque; WindowlessVideo = -1 but it does not help. • ADO.NET: Can't connect to mdf database file

  I'm writing an application that uses a SQL Server 2005 database. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified) This code works on XP but not in Vista.. I tryed run Visual Studio in admin mode and moved the mdf file to "user data" folders but the error persists.. Any help? Thanks!

I have tried to use IE8's Developer tools to see where exactly it fails, but I haven't been successful yet. So two questions Is there anything blatantly wrong with my ajax call here that could be preventing me from seeing it in IE where it works in FF/Chrome? Are there any special considerations I have to make for the Internet Explorer family of browsers with regards to this particular jQuery method? I've done some googling on this but nothing obvious is coming up. One other note: I am currently using jQuery 1.3.2 due to some legacy scripts on the same site. I did try loading 1.4.2 and it had the same results on IE8

  Dear Everyone, I am trying to sqlalchemy to correctly map my data. Note that a unified group is basically a group of groups. (One unifiedGroup maps to many groups but each group can only map to one ug). So basically this is the definition of my unifiedGroups: CREATE TABLE `unifiedGroups` ( `ugID` INT AUTO_INCREMENT, `gID` INT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY(`ugID`, `gID`), KEY( `gID`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 ; Note that each row is a ugID, gID tuple. ( I do not know before hand how many gID is per ugID so this is probably the most sensible and simplest method).   I'm building a game in javascript/html5 and I'm trying to build a database of locked doors in a maze that can be loaded from and overwritten to throughout gameplay. I've found a large number of tutorials online, but nothing is working. I was wondering if someone could look at what I'm trying and let me know what I'm doing wrong. My JSON file looks like this: { "doors": [ {"left":true, "right":false, "bottom":false}, {"left":false, "right":false, "bottom":false}, {"right":false, "bottom":false, "top":false}, {"left":false, "right":false, "top":false} ] } I want to build the HTML page so that when a player collides with a door it checks if its locked or not like: if (player.x < leftDoor.x + leftDoor.width && player.x + player.width > leftDoor.x && player.y < leftDoor.y + leftDoor.height && player.y + player.height > leftDoor.y) { if(doors[0].left == true) alert("door is locked"); else window.location = ( "2.html?p1="); } However I'm having trouble reading from the JSON file itself.   I want my users to be able to mark one or more items from an index view as "Active" or "Inactive" using a link. The text for the link should be state aware - so it might default to "Mark as Active" if the corresponding attribute was false or null, and "Mark as Inactive" if true. Once the user clicks the link and the attribute is updated in the controller, the link-text should update based on the new state. I am WAY off here, but this is a small sample of the code I have been trying...   I visit my ASHX file, and it outputs a PDF perfectly. If I visit the very same ASHX with a different query string (I append DateTime.Now.Ticks to the end each visit), and I get this error: Server cannot append hader after HTTP headers have been sent. You are seeing the entire interaction with the Response object. I've tried to use r.Flush(); and r.End(); I've also tried not sending them if they are already there, but this causes other issues.

• Database doesn't update using TransactionScope

  I have a client trying to communicate with a WCF service in a transactional manner. The client passes some data to the service and the service adds the data to its database accordingly. For some reason, the new data the service submits to its database isn't being persisted. When I have a look at the table data in the Server Explorer no new rows are added... • Aligning messageformat on printing a JTable.

  I'm using this for the moment to print out my table, and it works. But I'm not really happy with the layout of the messageformatting, I would like to have both pagenumber and date in the footer, and date format aligned to the left side of the table, and page to the right. How can I do that? Been reading some stuff about overriding the PrintTable method, but seems to get pretty complex from what I've read. • How to check if a number is a power of 2

  Today I needed a simple algorithm for checking if a number is a power of 2. The algorithm needs to be: Simple Correct for any ulong value. I came up with this simple algorithm: private bool IsPowerOfTwo(ulong number) { if (number == 0) return false; for (ulong power = 1; power > 0; power = power << 1) { // this for loop used shifting for powers of 2, meaning // that the value will become 0 after the last shift // (from binary 1000...0000 to 0000...0000) then, the for // loop will break out if (power == number) return true; if (power > number) return false; } return false; } But then I thought, how about checking if log2x is an exactly round number? But when I checked for 2^63+1, Math.Log returned exactly 63 because of rounding. So I checked if 2 to the power 63 is equal to the original number - and it is, because the calculation is done in doubles and not in exact numbers: private bool IsPowerOfTwo_2(ulong number) { double log = Math.Log(number, 2); double pow = Math.Pow(2, Math.Round(log)); return pow == number; } This returned true for the given wrong value: 9223372036854775809. Does anyone have any suggestion for a better algorithm?

  Hello, I am using Ctools Dependency to make a fieldset hideable. Both have #process and #dependency parameters and both point to one field for dependent value. Problem is elements like select or textfield can be hidden easily but it does not work for fieldset. In this support request page, CTools creator has mentioned that '#input' = true is a work around. As you see I added it to code, but it does not work as well. Do you have any suggestion?

• Weird exception: Cannot cast String to Boolean when using getBoolean

  I'm getting a very weird error. I have 2 activities. On both I'm getting the SharedPreferences using MODE_PRIVATE (if it matters) by sp = getPreferences(MODE_PRIVATE); on each activity's onCreate() I'm calling sp.getBoolean(IntroActivity.SHOW_INTRO, true) On the IntroActivity this works fine. • PHP - uninitialized array offset

  Hey everyone, I am using PHP to create a form with an array of fields. Basically you can add an unlimited number of 'people' to the form and each person has a first name, last name, and phone number. The form requires that you add a phone number for the first person only. If you leave the phone number field blank on any others, the handler file is supposed to be programmed to use the phone number from the first person. So, my fields are: person[] - a hidden field with a value that is this person's primary key. fname[] - an input field lname[] - an input field phone[] - an input field my form handler looks like this: $people = $_POST['person'] $counter = 0; foreach($people as $person): if(phone[$counter] == '') { // use $phone[0]'s phone number } else { // use $phone[$counter] number } $counter = $counter + 1; endforeach; PHP doesn't like this though, it is throwing me an Notice: Uninitialized string offset error. I debugged it by running the is_array function on people, fname, lname, and phone and it returns true to being an array. I can also manually echo out $phone[2], etc. and get the correct value. I've also ran is_int on the $counter variable and it returned true, so I'm unsure why this isn't working as intended? Any help would be great!

• How to start animation when I'm pressing on item of ListView?

  I want to implement next functional: When I'm tapping on ListView's item, it's turning into red color. If I release it has to reverse color back. I made transition drawable and set it as item's background. I tried to implement SimpleGestureListener and started animation on onDown and reversed it on onSingleTapUp events, but it doesn't give me any results (works fine, but items don't turn into red). • Compiling GWT 2.6.1 at Java 7 source level

  I've recently updated my GWT project to 2.6.1, and started to make use of Java 7 syntax since 2.6 now supports Java 7. However, when I attempt to compile, I'm receiving compiler errors such as [ERROR] Line 42: '<>' operator is not allowed for source level below 1.7 How do I specify the GWT compiler to target 1.7? I was under the impression that it would do that by default, but I guess not. I've attempted cleaning the project, including deleting the gwt-unitCache directory but to no avail.   I'm developing an app in Google App Engine. One of my methods is taking never completing, which makes me think it's caught in an infinite loop. I've stared at it, but can't figure it out.
