  Hello I have a form with ChoiceField whose widget is set to RadioSelect Now to override default html output one needs to subclass RadioFieldRenderer like this: class SimpleRadioFieldRenderer(forms.widgets.RadioFieldRenderer): def render(self): """Outputs widget without <ul> or <li> tags.""" return mark_safe(u'\n'.join([u'%s' % force_unicode(w.tag()) for w in self])) All is good now except I'd like to be able to render 1 radio button at a time from template. Something like this: {{ form.myfield.0 }}} Or perhaps hanging it onto widget itself: {{ form.myfield.field.widget.0 }} What bugs me is that RadioFieldRenderer already implements __get_item__ to get just one RadioInput. The problem is that the renderer does not contain data, neither does the widget. And I'd really hate to mess with Field and BoundField. I need this to inject html before/after each radiobutton and I'd like it to be done in the template. From the code it would be easy. Any ideas are welcome.

  I have 3 models User has_many :quetions has_many :corrections end Question has_one :correction belongs_to :user end Correction belongs_to :user belongs_to :question So if user Bob asks a question then user Terry can check it and if its wrong offer a correction. Lets stay with bob and assume he as kindly corrected 5 other users, i.e and lets assume he has been lucky to get 3 corrections from other users. I want to be able to do something like this @bob.corrections_offered = 5 correction objects @bob.corrections_received = 3 correction objects the first one is easy as its really just @bob.corrections under the hood. But i dont know how to implement the latter one. Can anyone help?

  I would like to populate the list of mailboxes from "Mail" folder of Domino from c# using the above API (Interop.Domino.dll). I have no problems connecting to Notes, accessing the database.It is easy to access all nsf files but i want to access only only nsf files in Mail Folder i.e Mail files. • Implementing full text search on iPhone?

  I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to implement a full-text search on some static data on the iPhone. Basically I have an app that contains the offline version of a web site, about 50MB of text, and I'd like for users to be able to search for terms. I figure that I should somehow build an table of ("word", reference_to_file_containing_word) or something, put that into either Core Data or just sqlite, index the "word" column, then have the search facility search the table for search terms and take the intersection of the sets of results for the terms or something. That wouldn't allow people to search for phrases but it would be pretty easy and probably not too slow. I'd like to just use existing SDK features for this. Should I use Core Data or sqlite? Does anyone have any other ideas on how this could be done?

• How can I get a view of favorite user documents by user in Couchdb map/reduce?

  My Couchdb database as a main document type that looks something like: { "_id" : "doc1", "type" : "main_doc", "title" : "the first doc" ... } There is another type of document that stores user information. I want users to be able to tag documents as favorites. Different users can save the same or different documents as favorites. My idea was to introduce a favorite document to track this something like: { "_id" : "fav1", "type" : "favorite", "user_id" : "user1", "doc_id" : "doc1" } It's easy enough to create a view with user_id as the key to get a list of their favorite doc IDs. E.g: function(doc) { if (doc.type == "favorite") { emit(doc.user_id, doc.doc_id); } } However I want to list of favorites to display the user_id, doc_id and title from the document. So output something like: { "key" : "user1", "value" : ["doc1", "the first doc"] }

• Amazon SQS invalid binary character in message body

  I have a web app that sends messages to an Amazon SQS Queue. Amazon sqs lib throws a 'AmazonSQSException' since the message contained invalid binary character. The message is the referrer obtained from an incoming http request.   I'm writing a script to display the 10 most recently "active" WordPress blog posts (i.e. those with the most recent comments). Problem is, the list has a lot of duplicates. I'd like to weed out the duplicates. Is there an easy way to do this by changing the MySQL query (like IGNORE, WHERE) or some other means? • Sniffing LPT Traffic

  I need to intercept LPT output traffic. After a couple of hours of research, I've come to understand that the only way to do this is by writing a kernel-mode driver, more precisely a "filter driver"...? I've downloaded the WDK, but the terminology and vast number of driver types is a little overwhelming. I'm basically trying to understand what kind of driver I should be writing; my target environment is Windows XP SP2 and 3 only. Some background info, if it matters: I have a bunch of legacy DOS apps that print to LPT1. I'd like to be able to capture this output and redirect this data (after GDI calls) to a modern USB (network) printer. Fortunately, the latter part of the problem's easy.   Everytime I google this question I see confusing information about masks and blends, none of which seems to directly apply to what I think should be an easy thing... There are three Sprites involved here...the lowest layer sprite is pretty much a background. I want to overlay a translucent Sprite on top of the background and then I want the third, top-most Sprite to act as a hole, so that the area inside the third Sprite is completely transparent, so that the background sprite is completely visible. How would I go about doing this dynamically (i.e. dynamically drawing the masking sprite and hole using the Actionscript graphics calls)?

  Hi, maybe I'm missing something. I believed that WPF vector-based Drawings (like DrawingGroup, DrawingGeometry, etc.) were ready to be serialized. But they are not. So, should I navigate all these drawing childrens, and store they points, lines, brushes (that also are not serializable) and so on, and then made my custom serialization? Is really that difficult or I'm missing something pretty obvious? I mean, even serializing Bitmap images is easy. I thinked serializing vector-based drawings were easier (no quality loss, just descriptive info, no massive data). Thanks for your practical answers, alternate-way suggestions and comments!

  I am trying to use the ASP.NET (3.5) "Routing Module" functionality to create custom pages based on the contents of the URL. Various articles, such as this one: http://blogs.msdn.com/mikeormond/archive/2008/05/14/using-asp-net-routing-independent-of-mvc.aspx explain how to use ASP.NET Routing to branch to existing pages on the web server. What I would like to do is create the page on-the-fly using code. For recurring jobs, this is easy using an ETL tool linked in with some addressing software, but for adhoc stuff it's a bit overkill. I've used inhouse developed stuff before (clunky but usable), but I don't want to have to re-develop that here. Any recommendations? Some features : Basic DBMS functionality (preferably with a proper DBMS backend for SQL support) Field concatenation (e.g. combine Firstname + Surname) "Pushing columns" (e.g. with address fields 1 - 8, push them left so if one is blank, the next one gets pushed up) Australia post mail sorting and dpid allocation (or can link into external tools relatively easily)

• Batch file to wait for other program to load/initialize, then execute command?

  I need some assistance writing what should be a fairly basic .BAT file. I load my main program, but that program takes ~20secs to load and be initialized. I have another command-line API I can execute to interact with this above program, but obviously until the above program is loaded and initialized there's no point in trying. If the program isn't running the command-line API returns a string stating exactly this - otherwise it just works and exits. Easy. So I want to wait until the above is loaded/initialized before firing my API command(s) at it. I could place a sleep/wait in there, but I want something more solid. The ~20sec wait is not necessarily consistent. Any way to execute the command-line API over and over until the response is satisfactory, then exit? J

• Is there a way to pass a custom type from C# to Oracle using System.Data.OracleClient?

  I was searching online for a solution to passing a string array to a stored procedure in Oracle. The "easy" but messy way was using a comma delimited string. I had found a sample based on which I created my own type of TABLE of VARCHAR2(200). I understood that I could use a constructor created "behind-the-scenes" by Oracle to give a list of values that would, in the PL/SQL, be treated as a TABLE I could iterate through. But when I got to the C# I saw that there is no way for me to create an OracleParameter object that would allow me to use this implicit constructor. All the samples I'm finding online for now are dealing with Oracle Data Adapter, none say anything about System.Data.OracleClient. Is there a way to achieve this?

  I know that in Visual SourceSafe you can go in and drill down to the history of an individual file and then drill down to an individual check-in and apply a comment to the check-in that way but that's tedious and time consuming - if you have a lot of files that were checked in at the same time and you want the same comment to apply to all of them this will take forever. I use the tool VSSReporter to generate reports of checkins and other stuff from VSS, but it cannot edit anything, only report on them. Are there any tools which will let you go back and retroactively apply comments to check-ins in an efficient and easy manner?

Based on my research, there are several ways of doing this. Long Polling (Comet) - This seems to be complex to implement Regular Polling - I can have an AJAX method trigger a database hit every 5seconds to get the current status. But I fear this will have performance issues. Then I read about using SqlCacheDependency - basically the cache gets invalidated based on a field in the table. I am assuming I can use the event trigerred when the cache is invalidated to show the new update to the user? What's an easy solution that will not have performance issues? anyone?

• DataGridView lags for a second with large data updates

  I have a DataGridView with about 400 rows and 10 columns. When the user first displays this table, it receives all of the data from the server and populates the table. The DGV uses a DataTable as it's data source, and when updating the DataTable I use row.BeginEdit/EndEdit and acceptChanges, but when the View itself is updated it lags for a second while all of the DGV is being updated. I am wondering if there is a way to make this smooth, so that for example, if the user is scrolling through the data and it updates, it won't interrupt the scrolling. Or if the user is moving the display around the screen and it updates, it won't interrupt. Is there an easy way to do this? If not, is there away to prevent the DGV from updating the view until all events have ended so it won't be repainted until the user stops scrolling, dragging, etc ?
