  • how to use webdav with netbeans?

    i have a server i save a lot of files, i wonder how i use webdav with netbeans. eg. import a webdav folder edit the php files and save it the new changes apply immediately on the web server (cause the webdav folder is the same as the apache web root folder) i think this is a very smart solution so that you can change the website immediately, without having to download, change and upload. anyone that knows how to accomplish this? (feel free to propose other quick solutions for how to do quick edits)

  • Multithreaded TIFF to PNG conversion

    I'm working with images of scanned books, so hundreds of high resolution pictures. I'm doing conversion work with Photoshop Elements - I can quickly save them to uncompressed TIFF, but converting to compressed PNG using a single thread takes ages. Do you know a software, ideally simple and free, that would batch convert those TIFFs to PNG in a multi-threaded manner (4 to 8 simultaneous files) to take advantage of those cores and cut converting times? I'm not too worried in slight variations in final size.

  • Zabbix not getting data for one filesystem

    I have Zabbix monitoring disk space for several volumes on several servers. It works fine on all of them except for one of the volumes on one of the servers which always reports as 0. However, when I run ./zabbix_get -s localhost -p 10050 -k 'vfs.fs.size[/home, free]' locally on the machine in question, it gives me the correct, non-zero size which matches the output of df. How can I go about troubleshooting and correcting this problem?

We need the backup application to backup to a NAS and perform incremental backups following the full backup. We also need to be able to store versions of each file.     At work (Exchange server) our team often needs to send emails to 500+ partners. It's currently a very dull job, so I've tried the merge features in Office 2007. However, it can't: Include a merge field in the subject ("Regarding your account: ") Send to semi-colon separated addresses (one line might be "[email protected];[email protected];[email protected]") Send from a particular mailbox account, and store all the sent mails in Outlook. Can anyone recommend any free/affordable software which will work with Exchange and can be used commercially?

  • push commits to git (gitolite) repository messes up file permissions (no more trac access)

    already posted here so feel free to answer there. everytime i commit/push something to the git server the file permissions change (all added/edited files in the repository have no read and execute access for the group). thus trac can't access the repository. do I need to change permissions of the folder differently? chmod u=rwx,g=rx,o= -R /home/git/repositories or do i need to setup gitolite somehow to write files with different permissions??? regards, klemens

    One of the very few reasons I have to physically interact with my Windows Home Server is to back it up to an external hard drive, with the "Backup Server" feature. It would be more convenient to plug the external drive in to a desktop PC, and then do the backup over the network. Is there a way to do this? I've heard a little about iSCSI, but as far as I can tell it costs money, and I'm hoping for something free.

I have a directive that goes something like this: Options MultiViews FollowSymLinks I have a location directive where I have Options +Includes This causes warning errors in my Apache error log: mod_include: Options +Includes (or IncludesNoExec) wasn't set, INCLUDES filter removed These warnings are gone when I add +Includes to my options but I don't want. I want to have the Includes filter removed but without having warning errors. If there's something unclear, feel free to ask. Thanks

    Hi I recently installed Ubuntu. It lets me to use GParted to let me take free space from Windows XP partition. After installing Ubuntu, it nicely presents a boot menu that lets me to boot either UBuntu or XP. Now, my XP sucks and I need to remove/re-install it. Then how can I restore the boot menu of Ubuntu?
