• How can I load style resources from a dynamically loaded Silverlight application (XAP)?

  I've followed Tim Heuer's video for dynamically loading other XAP's (into a 'master' Silverlight application), as well as some other links to tweak the loading of resources and am stuck on the particular issue of loading style resources from within the dynamically loaded XAP (i.e. the contents of Assets\Styles.xaml). When I run the master/hosting applcation, it successfully streams the dynamic XAP and I can read the deployment info etc. and load the assembly parts. However, when I actuall try to create an instance of a form from the Dynamic XAP, it fails with Cannot find a Resource with the Name/Key LayoutRootGridStyle which is in it's Assets\Styles.xaml file (it works if I run it directly so I know it's OK). For some reason these don't show up as application resources - not sure if I've totally got the wrong end of the stick, or am just missing something? • Android Update Layout Content

  I'm looking for a way to update a layout's content with a new view. Is there any way to easily do this. It would be similar to how tabs work, but I don't want to have to get into extending the current tab structure if I don't have to. The final result would be a few buttons that would switch the content in a specific linearlayout for each button. Any help?

  I have two mysql databases that have almost the same structure and representing the data of the same web app but one of them represents the current version and second one was made long time ago. How can I create the database with both dumps inside but with old_ prefix for tables from the first and new_ prefix for tables from the second database? Is there any mysqldump options to setup the prefix or other solution?

• Eclipse PDT debugging web application: evaluating expressions in a console

  When using Eclipse PDT with XDebug to debug a PHP web application, is there any way to open up a console window that will allow me to type in and see the value of arbitrary expressions in the current scope? This would seem like an obvious element of the debugging environment, and I may be missing something, but the only thing resembling a console says "no consoles to display at this time"

• MKMapView refresh after pin moves

  A custom AnnotationView is updated with new coordinates. But the problem is that it visually updates only after some manipulations with MKMapView, e.g. zooming or moving. What should I do to manually update visual position on a map? PS. I've tried to change region to current map's region. But it does change zoom. It's strange. • UITabBar without labels (like Tweetie 2/Twitter for iPhone)

  I'd like to build an app with a tabbar in the style of Tweetie 2/Twitter for iPhone (that is, images with no labels). I can't see a way to do it with normal UITabBarController/UITabBar, and my current thinking is that it's actually a UIToolbar with a custom view controller that is pushing and popping views from an array to simulate the UITabBarController's default behavior. Is this the approach that you all would recommend, or is there something more elegant that I'm overlooking?

  Hello, I'm currently working on a highly configurable Database Viewer webpart for WSS 3.0 which we are going to need for several customized sharepoint sites. Sorry in advance for the large wall of text, but i fear it's necessary to recap the whole issue. As background information and to describe my problem as good as possible, I'll start by telling you what the webpart shall do: Basically the webpart contains an UpdatePanel, which contains a GridView and an SqlDataSource. The select-query the Datasource uses can be set via webbrowseable properties or received from a consumer method from another webpart. In cbx_PreRender() i check ViewState and select an item in case of a postback. In cbx_DataBound() i just add tooltips to the list items as the dropdownlist has a fixed width. Previously, I used AutoPostback and SelectedIndexChanged of the DDL to filter the grid, but to my disappointment it was not always fired. I don't know if this is ok on this late stage.. don't have a lot of asp.net experience after all. If anyone can suggest a better solution, please give me a hint. This all works great so far, except when i have two or more filters and set them to a combination that returns zero records. Bam ... gridview gone, completely - without a possiblity of changing the filters back. So i googled and found out that i have to subclass gridview in order to always show the headerrow. I found this solution and implemented it with some modifications. The headerrow get's displayed and i can change the filters even if the returned result contains no rows. But finally to my current problem: When i have two or more filters set which return zero rows, and i change back one filter to something that should return rows, the gridview remains empty (although the pager is rendered). I have to completly refresh the page to reset the filters. When debugging, i can see in the overridden CreateChildControls of the grid, that the base method indeed returns 0, but anyway... the gridView.RowCount remains 0 after databinding. Anyone have an idea what's going wrong here?

  I'm trying to parse a text file into sentences ending in periods, but names like Mr. Hopkins are throwing false alarms on matching for periods. What regex indentfy's "." but not "Mr." For bonus, I'm also using ! to find end of sentences, so my current Regex is /(!/./ and I'd love an answer that incorporates my !'s too.

A date expression would be something like: "+3D" (plus three days) "-1W" (minus one week) "-2Y+2D+1M" (minus 2 years, plus one day, plus one month) Example: DateTime EstimatedArrivalDate = CalcDate("+3D", DateTime.Now); Where estimated arrival date would equal the current date plus 3 days.
