  • How to edit a table in the email reply (in Gmail)?

    I've received an email with an embedded table. I want to put some marks inside that table (i.e., edit the contentof the table) and send it back. Unfortunately, the Gmail interface doesn't seem to have table editing capabilities: after I hit reply, I see the table in the quoted text of the original message, but is not editable... If this is not possible in Gmail, how do I export the HTML source of this messsage and edit in another installed word processor?

  • Konsole Read/Write Access to PTY Device

    When I run something like: $ konsole -e "sleep 30" I get this message Konsole is unable to open a PTY (pseudo teletype). It is likely that this is due to an incorrect configuration of the PTY devices. Konsole needs to have read/write access to the PTY devices. But if I try to run this: $ gnome-terminal -e "sleep 30" Then it is fine, and it does not throw any error. How can I change the read/write access of the Konsole to the PTY devices?

    Am using ROXIO 1. to copy DVD file to my computer 2. to trim a section of the video 3. to convert the file to wmv and this is where Windows Vista gives the message that the program cannot continue. 4.   • Fixing Master Boot Record From Linux After Windows Corrupts It

    I bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, and setup Ubuntu 10.04 to dual boot alongside Windows 7. Regrettably, when activating the wireless, I did something in Windows 7 that caused it to overwrite or corrupt the master boot record, so now when I reboot I get the message "No bootable devices found". Is there an easy way to fix this, perhaps via a Linux LiveCD, or do I have to wipe out everything and reinstall?

    I'm getting repeated errors in my console log that look (basically) like this: 10-09-29 10:06:08 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[51581]) getpwuid("501") failed 10-09-29 10:06:08 AM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[51581]) Exited with exit code: 1 This machine was set up using the migration assistant, from a machine where my UID was 501, but here it's 505. I have the same username and group set, of course, but... So, where is this peruser launchd tool configured, so that I can disable the daemons that are causing this error message?

  • Why isn't the backup file created when running sqlcmd from remote machine?

    I tried running the sqlcmd from a remote host to do a simple backup of a sql 2008 database. The command goes something like this: sqlcmd -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xx -U username -P some_password -Q "Backup database [db] to \ disk = 'c:\test_backup.bak' with format" I get a succesfull message but the file isn't created. When I run this on the sql manager on the same machine, it works. I thought it was permission problems, but I'm using the same username in both cases. Any thoughts?

    When I try to use Curl on windows, to retrieve an https url, I get the dreaded "connection error (60)." The exact error message is: curl: (60) SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK.   • How can I make photo CDs from iPhoto

    I have a new Macbook, don't know the OS, but just got it--it's the cheaper model. I saved a lot of photos on iPhoto and can't figure out how to burn a CD. Tried the "share" function and when I choose a location to save the photos and hit burn, get an error message that says can't create in that location. Needs to be run on a pc or photo processing place.

    Example of current file structure: example.com/foo.php example.com/bar.html example.com/directory/ example.com/directory/foo.php example.com/directory/bar.html example.com/cgi-bin/directory/foo.cgi I want to remove HTML, PHP and CGI extensions from, and then force the trailing slash at the end of URLs. So, it could look like this: example.com/foo/ example.com/bar/ example.com/directory/ example.com/directory/foo/ example.com/directory/bar/ example.com/cgi-bin/directory/foo/ I've searched for solution for 17 hours straight and visited more than a few hundred pages on various blogs and forums. I'm not joking. So I think I've done my research. Here is the code that sits in my .htaccess file right now: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.html -f RewriteRule ^(([^/]+/)*[^./]+)/$ $1.html RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(\.[a-zA-Z0-9]|/)$ RewriteRule (.*)$ /$1/ [R=301,L] As you can see, this code only removes .html (and I'm not very happy with it because I think it could be done a lot simpler). I can remove the extension from PHP files when I rename them to .html through .htaccess, but that's not what I want. I want to remove it straight. This is the first thing I don't know how to do. The second thing is actually very annoying. My .htaccess file with code above, adds .html/ to every string entered after example.com/directory/foo/. So if I enter example.com/directory/foo/bar (obviously /bar doesn't exist since foo is a file), instead of just displaying message that page is not found, it converts it to example.com/directory/foo/bar.html/, then searches for a file for a few seconds and then displays the not found message. This, of course, is bad behavior. So, once again, I need the code in .htaccess to do the following things: Remove .html extension Remove .php extension Remove .cgi extension Force the trailing slash at the end of URLs Requests should behave correctly (no adding trailing slashes or extensions to strings if file or directory doesn't exist on server) Code should be as simple as possible I would very much appreciate any help. And to first person that gives me the solution, I'll send two $50 iTunes Store gift cards for US store. If this offend anyone, I am truly sorry and I apologize. Thanks in advance. First I installed it inside Windows and when it boots for first time I got the error message "couldn't find root filesystem , try partition table to fix the problem " . When I want to install it on a single partition (normally) and when it told me to chose a partition I don't find any partition (entire disk) . I have 2 primary partitions and 3 logical partitions.   • vsftp hangs at "150 Here comes the directory listing."

    In a vsftpd server enviroment, shared various directories from nfs mountpoints, I can log in without problem, but when I send the first "ls", the vsftp give me the directory listing: lftp [email protected]:~ ls -rw-rw-rw- 1 1160 1016 392 Jun 06 09:28 test.gif but not give me the shell again (lftp client). In the server log I can see that the last message is: "150 Here comes the directory listing." Why happend this?

    When I try to compile the tomcat connector from source, everything appears fine except that no mod_jk.so file gets created. Software versions: RHEL6 x86_64 httpd-2.4.3 tomcat-connector 1.2.37 Commands: cd native ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs make cd apache-2.0 ls The only warning message during the make is: Warning! dlname not found in /usr/local/tomcat-connectors-1.2.37-src/native/apache-2.0/mod_jk.la. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the mod_jk.so file to be generated?

Upon receiving any message the rule reports an error but gives no explanation of what the error is.     I'm trying to use msbuild/webdeploy with teamcity to deploy to IIS. However, I'm getting an ERROR_USER_UNAUTHORIZED error message and link pointing me to this page on iis.net. I'm using the Web Management Service to do this and I can verify that the username and password exist (I can log into the server with that combination), the site exists and the the user has IIS manager permissions: So what am I missing out?     I have recently upgraded from Expression 2 to 3. It's much better, but I cannot get the Thesaurus to work. It worked fine before the upgrade. Precise error message 'No thesaurus is available for English (United Kingkdom)' I am indeed, in the UK. I have set Tools Page Editor Options to first UK and then USA - no joy. In truth I don't mind the US thesaurus, it would certainly beat 'No thesaurus'

    Using the "netsh interface portproxy" I added a port forwarding to a Windows Server 2k3. The command "netsh interface portproxy show all" shows the added forwarding. On the other hand, any client connecting to the incoming port will receive a "connection refused" message. netstat also doesn't show the incoming port as listening. The machine firewall is disabled. There is any other way to setup port forwarding on Windows or debugging tips?

    After a TimeMachine restore; Office 2011 is having kittens over permissions it would seem. Having attempted a 'repair' out of Disk Utility, am still seeing: there is a problem with the Office database upon startup, after which Word/Excel work without issues. Outlook on the other hand won't even start. Given the obvious message here "You do not have write access to the Outlook application folder" – where is the DB located to check?

  • montoring service to detect when email is not received

    I would like to monitor an email server - not whether the port is open and receiving, but rather that a "canary" message sent every so often actually arrives somewhere else. I have had a problem with a server getting firewalled off and no one noticing that cron jobs are not coming from the machine for a few weeks. Of course, the machine itself cannot send out a notification if it is having problems, so this requires an outside service. Any ideas?
