• How to run a website domain without redirecting if IP is already used for another website? [duplicate]

  This question already has an answer here: Hosting multiple distinct folders for distinct domains 1 answer I bought a VPS Host that gave me only 1 IP Address which I used on my first domain name and it works without any problems. Now my second domain name I can't use the same ip address as it points to the first domain name. So I figured my only option was to use a GoDaddy hosted iframe redirection which redirects to a sub folder on my first domain which worked so far. Now I'm trying to load paypal from <?php headers() ?> and I get a permission error because of that iframe Refused to display 'https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?notify_url=&cmd=_cart&upload=1&business=removed&address_override=1' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'. How do I avoid the Iframe solution for my second domain while not messing up my first domain? Somebody I forgot once told me it doesn't matter if you have 1 IP Address you could host multiple websites on it? how it that possible the DNS doesn't seem to work off ports afaik, yes I could host multiple websites on different folders but that's not what I call hosting a real website it has to be pointed by a domain name, so this iframe issue doesn't happen My server configuration is httpd (apache) that comes with CentOS 6 (Linux) operating system

• AWS document on number of databases allowed on an Amazon RDS instance

  At the Amazon RDS FAQ there is the question "What is a database instance (DB Instance)?". The entire answer (as of mid-June 2012) is: You can think of a DB Instance as a database environment in the cloud with the compute and storage resources you specify. You can create and delete DB Instances, define/refine infrastructure attributes of your DB Instance(s), and control access and security via the AWS Management Console, Amazon RDS APIs, and Command Line Tools. Multiple MySQL databases or SQL Server databases (up to 30) or Oracle database schemas can be created on a given DB Instance. The last part of that quote, "Multiple MySQL databases or SQL Server databases (up to 30) Oracle database schemas" I interpret to mean that you can have an "unlimited" number of databases on an RDS MySQL or Oracle instance but only 30 databases on an MS SQL Server instance ("unlimited" meaning not limited by the RDS infrastructure itself). This was asked in the Stackoverflow question Does Amazon RDS support multiple databases per instance?. The answer quoted an older version of the FAQ. What I am looking for is an Amazon document that clarifies this question, or else someone who has experience using Amazon RDS who can attest what the situation actually is.

• Defrag starting when not scheduled. What is triggering the defrag

  I have a fileserver that is starting a defrag around 2:00 PM everyday. This is killing performance as it runs for ours becuase this is a file server and has multiple drives. All scheduled tasks regarding defrag have been disabled. I have verified that it is accessing the data drives(using SysInternals tools). The reason I might have though otherwise was the event log has multiple entries regarding defragging a db file related to shadow copies. Oh yes these drives take shadow copy snapshots multiple times per day but the times of them don't coincide with the defrag task. There is nothing in the event logs regarding defrag except those noted above in relation to shadow copies. I'm out of ideas looking for what is starting these jobs. One possiblility is that the drives are not being defgramented, but being analyized to determine if they need to be defragmented. I manually ran an analysis and the cpu usage(by dfrgntfs.exe) seems to be similar to what I'm seeing everday while the defrag process is running. However I've found no setting that schedules this analysis.

• DNS Round-robin, Load Balancing, Load sharing, and failover in 2012

  I have been reading many posts on serverfault as well as on other sites regarding all these. What I understand is, Multiple A records(round-robin dns) can be used for both : Load sharing (round-robin, but NOT load-balancing). Many people say that “Load Balancing” but I think there will be no load-balancing because “Balance” means (literally) “compare two(or more) and adjust” (and that is what Real s/w or h/w Load balancers do) but Browsers never do this, instead they randomly select and IP and connect to it. It doesn't have any knowledge about the current load of that server (probably, the IP it picked had the highest load!). Automatic failover (latest browsers only). • Distributing processing for an application that wasn't designed with that in mind

  We've got the application at work that just sits and does a whole bunch of iterative processing on some data files to perform some simulations. This is done by an "old" Win32 application that isn't multi-processor aware, so new(ish) computers and workstations are mostly sitting idle running this application. However, since it's installed by a typical Windows Install Shield installer, I can't seem to install and run multiple copies of the application. The work can be split up manually before processing, enabling the work to be distributed across multiple machines, but we still can't take advantage of multiple core CPUs. The results can be joined back together after processing to make a complete simulation. Is there a product out there that would let me "compartmentalize" an installation (or 4) so I can take advantage of a multi-core CPU? I had thought of using MS Softgrid, but I believe that still depends on a remote server to do the heavy lifting (though please correct me if I'm wrong). Furthermore, is there a way I can distribute the workload off the one machine? So an input could be split into 50 chunks, handed out to 50 machines, and worked on? All without really changing the initial application? In a perfect world, I'd get the application to take advantage of a DesktopGrid (BOINC), but like most "mission critical corporate applications", the need is there, but the money is not.   Like the title says, "In Excel, when a cell has multiple conditional formatting rules that evaluate true, is it possible to have the cell "visually cycle" through all the formats that evaluated true? If not, suggestions on what to do would be appreciated!" I'm creating an employee schedule for a business that has multiple job areas that need to have an employee assigned to cover. The schedule is currently set up with the date on the top row, employee list down the left column, and the employee's assigned "job area" cross-referencing with the date on the top row. Originally it was set up where if every required "job area" didn't have someone assigned to it, the date would (via conditional formatting) change to red. I've set it up now that if a condition isn't met, the date will change to the color of the "job area" that doesn't have an employee assigned to it. However, there are cases where multiple job areas don't have an employee assigned, but the date will only change color based on the first condition that isn't met. It'd be nice if there was some way for the date cell to cycle through the different colors that correspond to the job areas where no one is assigned. I have a hunch that's not possible though. If it is possible, I'd love to know how to do it. And if it isn't, if anyone has any suggestions on how I can modify the Excel sheet to make it easier to identify the job areas that don't have anyone assigned to them, I would appreciate it. FYI This schedule goes out months in advance.

• Capabilities of business and SOHO routers

  I'm currently studying for the CCNA certifications (especially for Cisco routers and configuration). I know that business routers provide more features than SOHO routers, the processing speed and RAM can be enough. Assume I need to connect a number of users through a network (accessing internet, share files, printers, ...). I have a high speed connection to the internet and I already applied QoS. How can I find out how many users such a single (SOHO) router could handle? In my case I'd attach to it multiple switches until I have the number of ports needed. Would everything work well and smoothly with 50 users? What about 300? At which point would I need a business router instead? If I implemented VLAN here, would it make any difference in the performance? When do I really need to use more than one router? (Both SOHO and business) I'm thinking that I may need them only if I want to increase the performance (instead of replacing the existing one) and if I have multiple locations, so in this situation I need to have multiple routers, right? Put differently: Is there is a need to have another router if my business all in one place?

• Windows 2008 R2 DHCP Overlapping Scopes

  We are trying to troubleshoot a scope overlap problem. We have multiple device types we wish to give all different ranges of a 16 bit subnet. IE. X device we wish to give 192.168.2.1-192.168.2.254/16, Y devices we wish to give 192.168.3.1-192.168.3.254/16. We are trying to accomplish this by creating different scopes and using the 60 class identifier. The problem is DHCP won't allow us to give these scopes with 16 bit masks because of the potential overlap. We aren't overlapping the address pool so why does DHCP care and can we work around this? If this isn't possible, how can i assign specific ranges by device type without creating multiple scopes? Any thoughts would be helpful. UPDATE: Entire Scope is 192.168.0.0/16 Gateway is 192.168.1.1/16 Device Hardware A - 192.168.20.1-192.168.20.254/16 Device Hardware B - 192.168.26.1-192.168.26.254/16 Device Hardware C - 192.168.85.1-192.168.85.254/16 We tried to setup multiple scopes for each device type (A,B,C) but couldn't specify a 16 bit mask as Scope A could technically overlap Scope B even thought our start and end addresses don't. • Why doesn't the value in /proc/meminfo seem to map exactly to the system RAM?

  The values in /proc/meminfo for MemTotal don't make sense. As a human, eyeballing it, it seems to roughly correspond to the installed RAM, but for using it to display the installed RAM from an automated utility it appears to be inexact, and inconsistent. For a system with 1G of RAM, I would expect the MemTotal line to have a value of 1048576 - 1024*1024. But instead, I'm seeing 1029392. On another 4G box, I'm seeing 3870172, which is not a multiple of 1024, and it's not even close to 1029392*4. On an 8G box, I get 8128204, which again seems to have no correlation to the other values, nor is it a multiple of 1024. I'm trying to use this information to report the RAM on a status web page. My work-around is to just "round" it to the nearest 1G multiple, but I'd like to understand why these values seem inconsistent and don't match my expectations. Can somebody fill me in on what I'm missing here? EDIT: To expand on the accepted answer below.... The reference can be found here.   This may not be the correct place to post this; if that's the case, just let me know and point me in the right direction please! I'm thinking of building a box that needs to be lightweight and portable, and would need to be able to boot multiple installations of windows. I am needing to have multiple installations so that I can, for example, plug the box in to the network at one location, boot in to that location's partition, and have full access to everything I would normally need to do on a computer that has already been set up on that network. Then, when I go to the next client, I would be able to do the same thing, with the new location's partition, and have all of those network settings, drive mappings, etc., available there. Obviously I'd need to go through and set them all up on the different locations/networks, I'm not expecting it to magically know where I am and what I'm doing. It would be like I'm carrying around a computer that is configured for each place I need to go in one little box, instead of having to have multiple computers or having to reconfigure all the settings and such every time I go to another client. Or is there an easier way to do this that I haven't learned of?

  Anyone ever seen this exception? I'm running in hosted mode on GWT 1.6.4 on a mac. I'm using the AutoSuggest and it's throwing this exception trying to show the popup. It works fine in compiled mode, but obviously hosted mode is rather important. • SSRS Report from Oracle DB - Use stored procedure

  I am developing a report in Sql Server Reporting Services 2005, connecting to an Oracle 11g database. As you post replies perhaps it will help to know that I'm skilled in MSSQL Server and inexperienced in Oracle. I have multiple nested subreports and need to use summary data in outer reports and the same data but in detail in the inner reports. In order to spare the DB server from multiple executions, I thought to populate some temp tables at the beginning and then query just them the multiple times in the report and the subreports. In SSRS, Datasets are evidently executed in the order they appear in the RDL file. And you can have a dataset that doesn't return a rowset. So I created a stored procedure to populate my four temp tables and made this the first Dataset in my report. This SP works when I run it from SQLDeveloper and I can query the data from the temp tables. However, this didn't appear to work out because SSRS was apparently not reusing the same session, so even though the global temporary tables were created with ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS my Datasets were empty. I switched to using "real" tables and am now passing in an additional parameter, a GUID in string form, uniquely generated on each new execution, that is part of the primary key of each table, so I can get back just the rows for this execution. Running this from Sql Developer works fine, example: DECLARE ActivityCode varchar2(15) := '1208-0916 '; ExecutionID varchar2(32) := SYS_GUID(); BEGIN CIPProjectBudget (ActivityCode, ExecutionID); END; Never mind that in this example I don't know the GUID, this simply proves it works because rows are inserted to my four tables. But in the SSRS report, I'm still getting no rows in my Datasets and SQL Developer confirms no rows are being inserted. So I'm thinking along the lines of: Oracle uses implicit transactions and my changes aren't getting committed? Even though I can prove that the non-rowset returning SP is executing (because if I leave out the parameter mapping it complains at report rendering time about not having enough parameters) perhaps it's not really executing. Somehow. Wrong execution order isn't the problem or rows would appear in the tables, and they aren't. I'm interested in any ideas about how to accomplish this (especially the part about not running the main queries multiple times). I'll redesign my whole report. I'll stop using a stored procedure. Suggest anything you like! I just need help getting this working and I am stuck. If you want more details, in my SSRS report I have a List object (it's a container that repeats once for each row in a Dataset) that has some header values and then contains a subreport. Eventually, there will be four total reports: one main report, with three nested subreports. Each subreport will be in a List on the parent report.

• Project compilation requires a class that is not used anywhere

  When I build with ant my project that uses libgdx, I get a strange error. It says that a class com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement is not found, but it isn't used at all in the code. How can I find what makes this class necessary? Even searching over the whole project doesn't give any results. It says that error is at PixmapTextureAtlas.java:16 (class source), but there is no code that uses that ImageElement class. Adding the library containing com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement class helps, of course, but I'd like to figure out why this class in needed.   Hi, I am new to WCF and trying to create a WCF client. I created a project in VS 2008 and added the reference of WCF web service and it generated the WSDL,configuration.svcinfo and other relevant files. Now i would like to know how to create the client certificates based on these available files? In the .svcinfo file, i see that there are multiple bindings (wsHttpBinding) and multiple endpoints. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

For example, the FileStream class says: Any public static members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe. But the documentation for BeginRead seems to contemplate having multiple read requests in flight: Multiple simultaneous asynchronous requests render the request completion order uncertain. Are multiple reads permitted to be in flight or not? Writes? Is this the appropriate way to secure the location of the Position of the stream between the call to Seek and the call to BeginRead? Or does that lock need to be held all the way to EndRead, hence only one read or write in flight at a time? I understand that the callback will occur on a different thread, and my handling of state, buffer handle that in a way that would permit multiple in flight reads. Further, does anyone know where in the documentation to find the answers to these questions? Or an article written by someone in the know? I've been searching and can't find anything. • How to stop UITableView moveRowAtIndexPath from leaving blank rows upon reordering

  I am having an issue where in reordering my UITableViewCells, the tableView is not scrolling with the cell. Only a blank row appears and any subsequent scrolling gets an Array out of bounds error without any of my code in the Stack Trace. Here is a quick video of the problem. The problem is also not in the updateCellBackgroundPositionsForTableView: method as it still crashes when this is commented out.
