  • How to send hashed data in SOAP request body?

    - by understack
    I want to imitate following request using Zend_Soap_Client for this wsdl. <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:clr="http://schemas.microsoft.com/soap/encoding/clr/1.0" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Header> <h3:__MethodSignature xsi:type="SOAP-ENC:methodSignature" xmlns:h3="http://schemas.microsoft.com/clr/soap/messageProperties" SOAP-ENC:root="1" xmlns:a2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/clr/ns/System.Collections">xsd:string a2:Hashtable</h3:__MethodSignature> </SOAP-ENV:Header> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <i4:ReturnDataSet id="ref-1" xmlns:i4="http://schemas.microsoft.com/clr/nsassem/Interface.IRptSchedule/Interface"> <sProc id="ref-5">BU</sProc> <ht href="#ref-6"/> </i4:ReturnDataSet><br/> <a2:Hashtable id="ref-6" xmlns:a2="http://schemas.microsoft.com/clr/ns/System.Collections"> <LoadFactor>0.72</LoadFactor> <Version>1</Version> <Comparer xsi:null="1"/> <HashCodeProvider xsi:null="1"/> <HashSize>11</HashSize> <Keys href="#ref-7"/> <Values href="#ref-8"/> </a2:Hashtable> <SOAP-ENC:Array id="ref-7" SOAP-ENC:arrayType="xsd:anyType[1]"> <item id="ref-9" xsi:type="SOAP-ENC:string">@AppName</item> </SOAP-ENC:Array><br/> <SOAP-ENC:Array id="ref-8" SOAP-ENC:arrayType="xsd:anyType[1]"> <item id="ref-10" xsi:type="SOAP-ENC:string">AAGENT</item> </SOAP-ENC:Array> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> It seems somehow I've to send hashed "ref-7" and "ref-8" array embedded inside body? How can I do this? Function ReturnDataSet takes two parameters, how can I send additional "ref-7" and "ref-8" array data? $client = new SoapClient($wsdl_url, array('soap_version' => SOAP_1_1)); $result = $client->ReturnDataset("BU", $ht); I don't know how to set $ht, so that hashed data is sent as different body entry. Thanks.

  • Microsoft Report Viewer Control not displaying report

    - by Kevin
    I have built a simple report and run it successfully in test winform apps but when I try to run the same report in my production winforms application, the report just doesn't show up in the viewer. I look at the ReportViewer control after InitializeComponent and everything looks fine. Are there debugging techniques or gotcha's that might be able to point me to why the report is not showing. It feels like there should be an error of some sort but it just displays a blank form.

  • Issue with JSON and jQuery

    - by Jason N. Gaylord
    I'm calling a web service and returning the following data in JSON format: ["OrderNumber":"12345","CustomerId":"555"] In my web service success method, I'm trying to parse both: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "MyService.asmx/ServiceName", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(msg) { var data = msg.d; var rtn = ""; $.each(data, function(list) { rtn = rtn + this.OrderNumber + ", " + this.CustomerId + "<br/>"; } rtn = rtn + "<br/>" + data; $("#test").html(rtn); } }); but I'm getting a bunch of "undefined, undefined" rows followed by the correct JSON string. Any idea why? I've tried using the eval() method but that didn't help as I got some error message talking about ']' being expected.

  • Where does the tomcat axis file server-config.wsdd come from?

    - by David Sykes
    Part of our system provides a web service through apache tomcat, the service is referenced in the server-config.wsdd file. Unfortunately nobody can remember how it got in there. The apache set up has changed, and I need to update the system for the new configuration. What magic keywords can I google for to help me work out how and why it got into the existing server-config.wsdd, and how it might fit into the new server-config.wsdd

  • SSAS 2008/Excel 2007 - Can't see cube

    - by Brian
    I have created a cube in SSAS 2008. In BIDS and SSMS I can see it fine. However, I cannot connect through Excel. I have tried both Excel 2003 and Excel 2007. I must support both and neither work. I can see the database but the cubes do not show up. I created a dummy cube in the project using the wizard and deployed that to the same database. In Excel 2003, I can see and connect to the dummy cube. Excel 2007 can't even find the server/instance after adding this cube. I have used another computer and received the same results with Excel 2003. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can give me. -Brian

  • PHP Libraries for Amazon Simple Notification Service

    - by webdestroya
    I wanted to start using the Amazon Simple Notification Service (http://aws.amazon.com/sns/), but I have not found any PHP libraries that I can use to access the service. I would rather not create my own library, I wanted to see if anybody has used any PHP libraries for the SNS service, and if they would recommend any.

  • Error processing response in .net web service with WSE3 mutualCertificate10Security Assertion

    - by Maeloc
    I am securing a .net web service (framework 2.0) with WSE3 mutualCertificate10Security Assertion. When request are valid all is fine and the response is wellformed, but when the request is invalid (cause a invalid signature, failed check, or soapexception thrown), the web server isn't able to process the response to send to the client. The error in application event log is: An error occured processing an outgoing fault response. Details of the error causing the processing failure: System.InvalidOperationException: Send security filter on the server could not retrieve the operation protection requirements from the operation state. en Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.SecureConversationServiceSendSecurityFilter.SecureMessage(SoapEnvelope envelope, Security security) en Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.SendSecurityFilter.ProcessMessage(SoapEnvelope envelope) en Microsoft.Web.Services3.Pipeline.ProcessOutputMessage(SoapEnvelope envelope) en Microsoft.Web.Services3.WseProtocol.GetFilteredResponseEnvelope(SoapEnvelope outputEnvelope) All certificate permissions are OK (when request is OK the web service is able to sign the response). Error occurs only if a soapFault must be returned in the response. Any ideas?

  • how can we use AsynCallback method of web service in asp.net

    - by sameer
    Hi All, I was going through the proxy class which is generated using wsdl.exe found the asyncmethod like BeginAsynXXX() and EndAsyncXXX(). i understood how to utilize them on Windows application but i was wondering how can we use them in Web Application built using asp.net here is the code for web service client build as windows application.can any tell me how we can do this with web application. using System; using System.Runtime.Remoting.Messaging; using MyFactorize; class TestCallback { public static void Main(){ long factorizableNum = 12345; PrimeFactorizer pf = new PrimeFactorizer(); //Instantiate an AsyncCallback delegate to use as a parameter //in the BeginFactorize method. AsyncCallback cb = new AsyncCallback(TestCallback.FactorizeCallback); // Begin the Async call to Factorize, passing in our // AsyncCalback delegate and a reference // to our instance of PrimeFactorizer. IAsyncResult ar = pf.BeginFactorize(factorizableNum, cb, pf); // Keep track of the time it takes to complete the async call // as the call proceeds. int start = DateTime.Now.Second; int currentSecond = start; while (ar.IsCompleted == false){ if (currentSecond < DateTime.Now.Second) { currentSecond = DateTime.Now.Second; Console.WriteLine("Seconds Elapsed..." + (currentSecond - start).ToString() ); } } // Once the call has completed, you need a method to ensure the // thread executing this Main function // doesn't complete prior to the call-back function completing. Console.Write("Press Enter to quit"); int quitchar = Console.Read(); } // Set up a call-back function that is invoked by the proxy class // when the asynchronous operation completes. public static void FactorizeCallback(IAsyncResult ar) { // You passed in our instance of PrimeFactorizer in the third // parameter to BeginFactorize, which is accessible in the // AsyncState property. PrimeFactorizer pf = (PrimeFactorizer) ar.AsyncState; long[] results; // Get the completed results. results = pf.EndFactorize(ar); //Output the results. Console.Write("12345 factors into: "); int j; for (j = 0; j<results.Length;j++){ if (j == results.Length - 1) Console.WriteLine(results[j]); else Console.Write(results[j] + ", "); } } }

  • What data structures and algorithms are applied within data warehouse cubes?

    - by Jeff Meatball Yang
    I understand that cubes are optimized data structures for aggregating and "slicing" large amounts of data. I just don't know how they are implemented. I can imagine a lot of this technology is proprietary, but are there any resources that I could use to start implementing my own cube technology? Set theory and lots of math are probably involved (and welcome as suggestions!), but I'm primarily interested in implementations: the data structures and query algorithms. Thanks!

  • What is the best method to write user "log files" of an android application to a file in a remote server or a table in a remote database?

    - by Samitha Chathuranga
    I am creating a multi user android application and it is connected to a php web service in a remote server and to a remote database via that web service. I want to keep a track of all the important activities done by the users. For an example if a user logged in to the app and changed his profile details and then logged out, a brief description of what he has done should be recorded(with time) somewhere. So then the admin of the system can see what the users are doing. So I think it is better to use log cat files and then flush all those data to a unique file in the server or a table in the database, when the user logs out or exists from his account. If it is appropriate How to do it?

  • Is it safe to reuse javax.xml.ws.Service objects

    - by Noel Ang
    I have JAX-WS style web service client that was auto-generated with the NetBeans IDE. The generated proxy factory (extends javax.xml.ws.Service) delegates proxy creation to the various Service.getPort methods. The application that I am maintaining instantiates the factory and obtains a proxy each time it calls the targetted service. Creating the new proxy factory instances repeatedly has been shown to be expensive, given that the WSDL documentation supplied to the factory constructor, an HTTP URI, is re-retrieved for each instantiation. We had success in improving the performance by caching the WSDL. But this has ugly maintenance and packaging implications for us. I would like to explore the suitability of caching the proxy factory itself. Is it safe, e.g., can two different client classes, executing on the same JVM and targetting the same web service, safely use the same factory to obtain distinct proxy objects (or a shared, reentrant one)? I've been unable to find guidance from either the JAX-WS specification nor the javax.xml.ws API documentation. The factory-proxy multiplicity is unclear to me. Having Service.getPort rather than Service.createPort does not inspire confidence.

  • Coding without Grock. Is it wrong?

    - by OldCurmudgeon
    Should a professional programmer allow themselves to write code without completely understanding the requirements? In my 30+ years as a programmer I must have written many thousands of lines of code without completely understanding what is required of me at the time. In most cases the results were rubbish that should have been discarded. Every other industry that employs professionals has systems to root out such behavior. Ours does not. Is this right?

  • What are some of the practical cons to using ASMX webservices?

    - by Earlz
    Hello, at my workplace we are about to start a big project. My boss (a programmer, this is a startup) wishes to use ASMX webservices for this purpose. I do not want to start off a new program using deprecated technology and would like to show him this. I dislike WCF at this moment because it has such an extreme learning curve, but I'd rather learn it than use an unsupported technology. The problem I'm having is that I can not find any practical list of cons and downfalls when compared to WCF so that I can convince my boss to not use them. And saying "it's not as powerful" is not an adequate explanation. What exactly can it not do that we may need it to do for a webservice that is not meant to be shared externally? (as in, we don't support third-parties using our webservices unless they are using one of our clients. )

  • retrieving information from web service calls

    - by Monte Chan
    Hi all, I am trying to retrieve information from a web service call. The following is what I have so far. In my text view, it is showing Map {item=anyType{key=TestKey; value=2;}; item=anyType{key=TestField; value=adsfasd; };} When I ran that in the debugger, I can see the information above in the variable, tempvar. But the question is, how do I retrieve the information (i.e. the actual values of "key" and "value" in each of the array positions)? Yes, I know there is a lot going on in onCreate and I will fix it later. Thanks in advance, Monte My codes are as follows, import java.util.Vector; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.widget.TextView; import org.ksoap2.SoapEnvelope; import org.ksoap2.serialization.SoapObject; import org.ksoap2.serialization.SoapSerializationEnvelope; import org.ksoap2.transport.AndroidHttpTransport; public class ViewHitUpActivity extends Activity { private static final String SOAP_ACTION = "test_function"; private static final String METHOD_NAME = "test_function"; private static final String NAMESPACE = "http://www.monteandjanicechan.com/"; private static final String URL = "http://www.monteandjanicechan.com/ws/test_ws.cfc?wsdl"; // private Object resultRequestSOAP = null; private TextView tv; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); SoapObject request = new SoapObject(NAMESPACE, METHOD_NAME); tv = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.people_view); //SoapObject request.addProperty("test_item", "1"); SoapSerializationEnvelope envelope = new SoapSerializationEnvelope(SoapEnvelope.VER11); envelope.setOutputSoapObject(request); AndroidHttpTransport androidHttpTransport = new AndroidHttpTransport(URL); try { androidHttpTransport.call(SOAP_ACTION, envelope); /* resultRequestSOAP = envelope.getResponse(); Vector tempResult = (Vector) resultRequestSOAP("test_functionReturn"); */ SoapObject resultsRequestSOAP = (SoapObject) envelope.bodyIn; Vector tempResult = (Vector) resultsRequestSOAP.getProperty("test_functionReturn"); int testsize = tempResult.size(); // SoapObject test = (SoapObject) tempResult.get(0); //String[] results = (String[]) resultRequestSOAP; Object tempvar = tempResult.elementAt(1); tv.setText(tempvar.toString()); } catch (Exception aE) { aE.printStackTrace (); tv.setText(aE.getClass().getName() + ": " + aE.getMessage()); } } }

  • There are lots of useful answers about estimating the cost of a project. Are there any recommendatio

    - by Chrys
    Let me clarify this a bit more. I started giving estimations about projects/tasks. I write everything down in a spreadsheet. I know that soon this spreadsheet won't help much (searching, recommending similar project estimations etc...) Do you have any recommendations for any tools I can use for keeping a track of all these estimations? Is there a tool out there that for example will give me related project estimations like stackoverflow gives me related questions when I type one question.

  • How do I stop a WCF web service?

    - by Matt
    I've stopped the website in IIS, made a change in Web.config, but the damn thing keeps writting my log events into my database! The only solution I've found is to restart IIS completely. This isn't a very good solution because then all my websites have to stop/restart.

  • Temporary storage for keeping data between program iterations?

    - by mr.b
    I am working on an application that works like this: It fetches data from many sources, resulting in pool of about 500,000-1,500,000 records (depends on time/day) Data is parsed Part of data is processed in a way to compare it to pre-existing data (read from database), calculations are made, and stored in database. Resulting dataset that has to be stored in database is, however, much smaller in size (compared to original data set), and ranges from 5,000-50,000 records. This process almost always updates existing data, perhaps adds few more records. Then, data from step 2 should be kept somehow, somewhere, so that next time data is fetched, there is a data set which can be used to perform calculations, without touching pre-existing data in database. I should point out that this data can be lost, it's not irreplaceable (key information can be read from database if needed), but it would speed up the process next time. Application components can (and will be) run off different computers (in the same network), so storage has to be reachable from multiple hosts. I have considered using memcached, but I'm not quite sure should I do so, because one record is usually no smaller than 200 bytes, and if I have 1,500,000 records, I guess that it would amount to over 300 MB of memcached cache... But that doesn't seem scalable to me - what if data was 5x that amount? If it were to consume 1-2 GB of cache only to keep data in between iterations (which could easily happen)? So, the question is: which temporary storage mechanism would be most suitable for this kind of processing? I haven't considered using mysql temporary tables, as I'm not sure if they can persist between sessions, and be used by other hosts in network... Any other suggestion? Something I should consider?
