  • The least amount of code possible for this MySQL query?

    I have a MySQL query that: gets data from three tables linked by unique id's. counts the number of games played in each category, from each user and counts the number of games each user has played that fall under the "fps" category It seems to me that this code could be a lot smaller.     I'm trying to change the src of an image form submit button using an onclick, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Am I missing something? <input class="submit_image" id="my_form_button" onclick="$('my_form_button').src='/images/buttons/submitting.gif'" src="/images/buttons/submit.gif" type="image" /> I've also tried using the same JS on the form tag using onsubmit with no luck.

    Hello, in my web page a user fill a form who send information to a MySql database. One of the data inputs sent is a date/time, in the format date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A'); (I can change the format as needed) So when the user submits the form i wanna check if the actual time/date is 30 seconds more than the sent time/date in order to allow or not the submission of the form.     I have three date ranges in mysql table as follow from 2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02 from 2013-10-14 to 2013-10-16 from 2013-10-28 to 2013-11-05 I want to count only days that occur in Month of October, for example from first range (2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02) I should get difference of two days (1st and 2nd October) , and it should ignore days from September month, Finally i want to count total days in a given month from above date ranges. Can it be done from direct mysql query. or any short PHP logic.

    Some websites have forms with input type="text". And inside these textboxes there is a blurred text, which says for example: "Enter your name here". And then onClick or OnFocus or whatever, the text dissappears and you can type into the textbox. Like the title of posting a question here at stackoverflow, same thing. How is this done easiest way? Would prefer if there was not too much js involved. Thanks

    Hi, In Python script,for every method definition in some C++ code of the form: return_value ClassName::MethodName(args) {MehodBody} ,I need to extract three parts: the class name, the method name and the method body for further processing. Finding and extracting the ClassName and MethodName is easy, but is there any simple way to extract the body of the method? With all possible '{' and '}' inside it? Or are regexes unsuitable for such task?

What is the best way to do this? Can I include it and then print the contents? Example of template: Price: <?php echo $price ?> and, for example, I have another php file that will show the template file only if the date is more than two days after a date in SQL.

    I am hoping to create 3 (non-negative) quasi-random numbers that sum to one, and repeat over and over. Basically I am trying to partition something into three random parts over many trials. While I am aware of a= runif(3,0,1) I was thinking that I could use 1-a as the max in the next run if, but it seems messy. But these of course don't sum to one.     I have a mysql table of 3 integer fields. None of the fields have a unique value - but the three of them combined are unique. When I query this table, I only search by the first field. Which approach is recommended for indexing such table? Having a multiple-field primary key on the 3 fields, or setting an index on the first field, which is not unique? Thanks, Doori Bar
