• Custom editor in QAbstractTableModel

  Does anyone have an example of using a QWidget as an editor in a QAbstractTableModel? I have a column which when edited should create a QCombobox with the list of choices. The docs seem to suggest I need to write a QAbstractItemDelegate and a custom paint function but that seems overkill to simply pop-up a standard QCombobox in Qt::EditRole. Note - the combo box contents are the same for every row and it only needs to be shown when somebody clicks in the cell. I know this should be simple but I can't get it to work. It's easy for a QTableWidget based table - but I need it for a very large data table.

• Add values to standard expressions list in Regular Expression Editor dialog in VS 2008

  Hi. In the "Regular Expression Editor" dialog in VS 2008 ( or 2005 for this matter ) , there is a list of "standard expressions" like : "French phone number" , "French postal code" etc.. And of course there is an option to select a "Custom" and then enter your own regular expression. Well.. I want to add a predefined expressions to that list . Like : "Israeli phone number" . I don't want to enter it every time by selecting a custom value . I want my developers in the team available items for them to choose. Anyone knows how to alter that list ? I've found some question about it on the web - and the answer given is that it's not possible . But that was at 2004. Anyone ?!?! Thanks.

  Hello, I am working on editors created with GMF and struggling with OCL right now. Is there a possibilty to prevent a node to be created if an OCL statement in the mapping evaluates to false? If tried adding an OCL statement to a node and all it does is making the node not visible in the editor, but it is created. There is also an OCL statement in the ecore file, but this way it is only evaluated when there should be something done with the created model. I does not prevent a user to construct an invalid model but this is what I intend to prevent. Thanks in advance, Morph

• Eclipse keyword highlighting in in my own text editor

  I made a simple text editor in eclipse to which I added some simple WordRule based syntax highlighting to highlight the language keywords. The problem is that when a keyword is part of an identifier (eg. "import" is part of "extra_import"), then "import" is highlighted in "extra_import". How can I stop eclipse to highlight a a keyword if it is only a sub string of another string? Anlther question; is there a regular expression based IRule? What is the purpose of WhitespaceRule? White spaces are usually not highlighted. Thaks

Upon some research I saw lot of gui builders but didn't see anything along the lines of what I am looking for. But then I did find a tutorial using C# on here I rather create this gui editor for linux environment. Any suggestions to where I should start? what tools I can use? Any links to any tutorials? • Drag and drop an image from desktop to a web text editor (implementation in javascript)

  I tried to write reasonably short title but i failed i guess.. Hi everybody here's what i'm trying to do: I want to implement a web text editor able to recognize when the user drag a image file over it's editing surface and it automa(gically) starts the upload and insert the image near the cursor position. In other words i don't want the user to do the usual "insert-image-browse-ok". Atm i am not very good at javascript ... i know JQuery but i have not a clear idea about how to implement this... i don't know if there's an event handler able to help me in this situation... if not then there should be i think or web apps would miss some kind of interactivity. I've heard miracles about HTML5 could it help me? I've seen such things in Google Wave but that surface doesn't seem to be a form field... google lab's black magic i guess.... Thank you in advance.

  Has anyone seen an editor/IDE that shows WYSIWYG comments inside the code? I have seen some that show the docs of an element in a separated tab/windows, but not together with code. For example, a JavaDoc comment would be much clearer and easier to edit if it had no tags and could be edited like a snippet from a normal text document. /** * Writes <code>Hello world!</code> to the <b>standard output</b>. * @seealso showGoodbye */ public static void showHello() { Could be something like this: /* Writes Hello world! to the standard output. • Visual Studio Config File Editor - Not Formatting

  Hi All, My VS 2008 seems to be acting a bit weird and the solution is eluding me. The problem is that if I open a config file; app.config or web.config, this looks and behaves as a plain text document. I have no formatting, no coloring, no intellisense and no collapsible or expandable regions. I have reset all setting and restored default file associations. If I go into the setting menu, Text Editor, XML, formatting I see an error "An error occurred loading this property page" Has any one seen this before and have you go a solution. Thanks

  Hi! I would like to build a web application where users can create forms with very few technical knowledge. Since they need "advanced" features like validations, required fields and some more, I am currently evaluating XForms and web forms 2.0 (from HTML 5 spec). Concerning web forms, my research couldn't find any answers for the following questions: Are there any (JavaScript) libraries out there which make web forms fully available in browsers which have currently no support for them (i.e. Firefox)? Is there a "web forms editor" which allows creating input and select fields, with setting attributes like the type, required, ...? It has to be something visual, and must create "nice" html. Any help/ hints would be appreciated!

• Netbeans GUI editor problems

  Hey guys. Im making a portion of my app using the netbeans gui editor. Great so far. However ive added a new checkbox - and when i load the panel in my app the text attribute isnt shown...its just blank as if i have no caption on it... all the other ones display - so this is very annoying. It kind of seems that I have hit the limit on gui items or something, becasue any new items I add I cannot seem then, If i add new labels they dont show either :S! The other problems Im having are that the size of the window im editting appears to be fixed - every time i change it, it jumps back to the same size - how do i stop this from happening? Cheers Andy

  Hello, I have worked with Ruby on Rails for the last four years. So far I have used textmate for writing the code. This is working great as long as I don't need to do any decent presentation. I was wondering if there is any WYSIWYG editor out there that can intergrate with Rails. Something like Dreamweaver with the ability to browse Objects etc. If I have opened the _show.erb I create a div and selete @user.email. etc. Any suggestions?

  I have a texteare where someone can input text. I do not want a wysiwyg editor. But what would be great: Strip all tags, but make correct <p> and <br /> if user input has new lines. Additionally convert all urls, with or without http// or parameter to clickable links. I cannot find a solution. So you could type into the textarea: ........ • C# HTML editor to create forms

  Hey all, I posted a similar topic for RoR, but didn't know how to edit my tags, so I'm making a new one for C#... I'm looking for a HTML editor which can be integrated in a C# app that has the possibility to create forms. Not forms per se, but I need the possibility to add radiobuttons, input fields, checkboxes and so on. There are many editors that provide Richt text (bold, italic, indentation and so on) but what I need goes a bit further, so help is appreciated. Thanks!

  In a DrScheme project, I'm using a MrEd editor-canvas% with text% and inserting a string from a literal in a Scheme file. This results in an extra blank line in the editor for each line of text I'm trying to insert. I've tracked this down to the apparent fact that string literals from outside modules are getting extra line breaks. Here's a full example. • VS 2010 JavaScript editor – matching braces highlighting – is it so difficult to implement?

  I do not know. Just curious. But first things first. As a web developer I spend about 80% of my work-time editing JavaScript code. And since my server-side platform is .NET then it would be very convenient to have decent JavaScript text editor within Visual Studio IDE. So, Visual Studio 2010 is out. Downloaded and installed. What were my expectations regarding JavaScript editor? Pretty low, actually.  I just wanted to have matching braces highlighted eventually. That’s all. Yes, I know about Ctrl + ] shortcut but it is not event remotely close to convenience. And the result? Alas. Without further ado, just look at some real-world fragment of code from jQuery Templates Proposal experimental plugin as I see it in Notepad++, Notepad2 and Visual Studio 2010 editors respectively: Notepad++ Notepad2 Visual Studio 2010 Look at the highlighted parentheses, regular expression literals, numbers. Do you have a feeling that the last screenshot is not very informative in comparison with the other ones? If yes, then my question is why? Instead I was given an IntelliSense. Sorry, but I do not need it to rot my mind. Especially the one which does not always work properly (try to use it with base2 library for example). With all the expressive power of the language I have to know what I am doing. Instead I still have the same plain old Notepad with some of the JavaScript keywords colorized, plus partially functional/useful IntelliSense. What I do need, is just a little help to make less errors when I type the code – some essential text editor facilities that I really need. Give me that and only then feel free to improve on something else. Maybe I am wrong. Then, sorry. Just cannot believe that I have to wait for another couple of years to get very basic code editor feature.

The combination of instant display + text source code + Java implementation is very attractive to me, but I can't quite figure out how to make the syntax do what I want, and the documentation's not very clear. I have a situation which is single-threaded, but there's state involved, and all the messages are asynchronous. I guess that means I should use an external object to represent that state and its lifetime. What I want is for one timeline to represent the message sequence al:atm.give me $10 atm:bank.check al's account balance bank:atm.al has $3 atm:al.you only have $3 and another timeline to represent the message sequence bill:atm.give me $20 atm:bank.check bill's account balance bank:atm.bill has $765 atm:bank.hmm are you sure? bank:atm.yes I'm sure, bill has $765 atm:bill.here's $20, now go away atm:bank.I just gave Bill $20 bank:atm.great, he's a cool dude with the other "wisecracks" representing other miscellaneous messages that I don't care about right now. • Sharepoint People Editor within Update Panel - Cannot set value after partial postback

  trying to set default value in the people picker with an update panel. On a test page without an update panel, the code PeopleEditor1.CommaSeparatedAccounts = "domain\\user.account"; works just fine. As soon as I add an update panel around that people editor the picker's text area gets cleared out and future calls to the above snippet are ignored. That is, since I have 16 columns, each row should be prefixed something like this: 0000 [00 01 02 .... 0F] 0010 [10 11 12 .... 1F] 0020 [20 21 22 .... 2F] ... Any suggestions?

But when i want to validate it with a Custom validator of ASP.Net 2.0, im not getting the result expected.
