    Hi, QUESTION: Re use of .NET Backgroundworker, is there not a way to let exceptions pass back normally to main thread? BACKGROUND: Currently in my WinForms application I have generic exception handle that goes along the lines of, if (a) a custom app exception then present to user, but don't exit program, and (b) if other exception then present and then exit application The above is nice as I can just throw the appropriate exception anywhere in the application and the presentation/handling is handled generically

  • Java multithreaded server - each connection returns data. Processing on main thread?

    I am writing a client with an integrated server that should wait indefinitely for new connections - and handle each on a Thread. I want to process the received byte array in a system wide available message handler on the main thread. However, currently the processing is obviously done on the client thread. I've looked at Futures, submit() of ExecutorService, but as I create my Client-Connections within the Server, the data would be returned to the Server thread. How can I return it from there onto the main thread (in a synchronized packet store maybe?) to process it without blocking the server?     I am building an app on android and running into an error and while searching on net, came across your posting on this and changed the eclipse.ini to increase Xms and Xmx params but still this error does not go away. But if all we care is to find the intersection, without caring what is being displayed, then we can always convert one to the other?
