• Clickable label not working in IE 8

  I've got the following list item: <li> <input value="someRadioButton" name="ctl00$mainContent$group" type="radio" id="ctl00_mainContent_somelRadioButton" onclick="showSomeInfo()" /> <label for="ctl00_mainContent_someRadioButton"><img class="extraPadding-Right-10" src="https://xxy.com/some_mark_37x23.gif" /></label> </li> So what shows up is a radio button and an image next to it. When I am in FireFox, Chrome, and Safari clicking on that image fires the showSomeInfo() that's specified in the radio's onclick. I'm not sure why I guess because it's wrapped in a label and that label is relating to that radio button.... But anyway that's not my problem. I like that when you click the image, that javascript method showSomeInfo() is called. But the problem is that it works in all browsers except IE 8. If I open this page in IE 8, clicking on the image does nothing and I'm not sure why. I'm baffled at this one.

• Canon MF3200 Printer Problems

  I bought a Canon MF3200 and used it on an old Windows laptop. The laptop broke, and now I'm trying to setup the printer on a laptop with Windows 7. I downloaded the new driver, and Windows was able to install it and mark it "Ready to Go." But whenever I try to print, an error comes up and it doesn't print. I tried to troubleshoot, to no avail. What else can I do? Any ideas on what the error might be?

• windows printer spool gets stuck with file at 64kb from linux and mac

  Hi I have two printers one on a file server with windows 2003, and other with windows XP. The thing is that when i try to print from my machine, my file stays in queue for ever, it says 64kb out of whatever the file i send. I have seen similar problems with some machines that run on Mac OS X. The windows machines apparently have no problems printing. They are not connect through active directory, just the network. In the past I have seen people install non microsoft windows Printer server on windows, i dont remember the name of any of the programs. I have being googling a lot and have not found anything to replace the microsoft print spooler service, maybe i am mistaken. Everyday I have to restart the print spooler service i even created a bat file for it. I am out of ideas here.

For instance First Name, and Last Name would not be known previously. How do I go about doing that? It seems that I cannot access the attributes directly. But when I use the label field, the variable name in the label is displayed not the actual value.

Of course, I could start playing around with the margins until they match up, but since this is such a common requirement I'm sure that WPF provides a much easier and more elegant solution, which I just haven't found yet...

  I'm trying to make a radio group specifying a bunch of options, and an extra option "other" with a text input to specify. The code for this particular radio button I'm using is <input type='radio' name='RadioInput' value='Other' id='RadioInput_Other' /> <label for='RadioInput_Other'>Ohter: <input type='text' name='RadioInput_Other_Value' id='RadioInput_Other_Value' value='' /> </label> The idea is that if you give focus to the text input, the radio button corresponding to it is selected. The code above almost does this (since the text input is inside the label). However, it also shifts focus to the radio button (which is annoying, since whatever you type next is lost). Is there any way to prevent this using XHTML1.0 / CSS2? Preferably without using javascript.

  See a jsfiddle example I am trying to align the custom label in the /labels/items JSON element to hang right under the title and subtitle. Playing with firebug I can alter the SVG text element for the label and add text-align='middle' and change the x='' attribute to have the same value as the title's x attribute. This makes it perfectly align under the title and stay there when resized but I can't figure out how to make the highcharts library generate this source. Maybe there is a better way to add another label under the subtitle?

• Intermec PF8t printer - print output with wrong orientation

  I am using an Intermec PF8t for label printing. My labels are the size of 40mm(width) and 20mm (height) and they are rendered in a crystal report from where I print them dynamically. The problem is that no matter what the page orientation I specify either in crystal report or in printer settings, the result is printed vertically(i.e. my output gets rotated by 90 degrees) whereas I want it to print horizontally (as in normal left to right printing) . Strangely, when I print the label at design time, everything prints as it should. One important thing to mention is that i print my label report programmatically using crystal reprot's PrintToPrinter() method. Any ideas... I have pretty much exhausted all the information available at intermec's portal but to no avail.

  I have a NSTextField Label that has attributed text in it. The color and size are different from the defaults. (The text is a bit larger and green) Now, I need to be able to select the text in the label so as the click the hyperlinks embedded in the attributed text. This works fine; however, when selecting the text the format of the text reverts back to the defaults (a smaller, black font). Is there anyway to stop this behavior so that my styling is preserved when the user clicks (selects text) on a Label?

  Is it possible to set "for"(AssociatedControlID) attribute using jQuery? I am trying something like this to set it to the very next control that appears after label: $('label.asssociateClass').each(function() { var toAssociate = $(this).next(':input'); $(this).attr("for", toAssociate.attr("id")); }); The problem is that if I don't set it on a server through AssociatedControlID it never gets here since it's rendered as span instead of label in that case.   Hi, we have a VB6 binary executable that comes with no source code. And we need to change the label text for that VB6 application from "AAA" to "BBB". Is there any way or tools that can do that? The closest tool I can find right now is microsoft UISpy, it can read all the other elements but not the label. I hope there is a tool that can change the resource in the .exe so that the label "AAA" will read "BBB". Or is it possible to write a wrapper application, it will launch the .exe, examine the application screen for "AAA" and change that to "BBB"? Thank you for your help!

  Hi, I have 2 textboxes and a label on my page. The 2 textboxes will contain numeric values. The label text will be the product of the 2 textbox values. Is there a way to do this using JQuery so that the value can get updated without having to do a postback? Also the textboxes may contain values with commas in it: e.g. 10,000.   We have quite a few hp printers and I noticed now they all use the HP Universal printer driver which I added to the printer server (2003 serveR) but when someone on win7 64 bit tries to install the printer they still get an error that says no driver was found on the server for this printer. I don't have any problems with our canon's and Dells but they supply a driver for each model unlike hp who is going to this universal driver route which frankly I don't like. any ideas? thanks. Luc
