    How do I cache the images properly, I think asked this somewhere before, but it hasn't affected me until gameing site went out of beta. It's HTTP headers or something isn't Ok I used George's answer but frankly the performance is awful, asking the server for the image everytime (even when it doesn't download the image) creates a small delay of about 1/2 a second but because of the huge number of SE sites, the 1/2s add up. Please, please consider adding a hash of the image to the stackauth.com/sites

Lately, I've noticed the whole discussion is happening on Facebook, with comments there being way bigger in numbers than on my page. I notice FB has a Social Comments plugin. I was wondering if there was a way to embed comments from my Facebook fan page for a specific link with that plugin or any way otherwise?

    this is the site that I am going to develop: http://www.juve-news.com/ it works like this but it doesnt when I try to open it without the www prefix. it give me 400 bad request! I have used other web host before now I am trying a new one and I have to add some dns entries like in the picture here: http://cloudcontrol.com/developers/documentation/add-ons/aliases/ I dont know what I have done wrong. If anyone knows what could be the problem then please give me a tip.

    We have a site with both a desktop version and a mobile version. Most of the content are the same and both versions have the same URL, but the HTML generated is device specific. Looking at Google's recommendations for smartphone-optimized sites, one could get the impression that the mobile xml sitemap is only for sites with different URLs. Will ranking be affected - negatively or positively - if we add a mobile xml sitemap that effectively will be a duplicate of the desktop sitemap?

    I'm checking around options of static web site generators which led me to lots of articles about them! However, no word is spoken on how to edit files through a browser; it's always assumed you have either DropBox or some FTPish or terminal access. The only generator I could find that includes a browser based admin screen is Kirby (getkirby.com, mentioned at modernstatic.com) Besides the application above, what setup would you recommend to have both static HTML generation and web-based file management?     I'm using Google DFP to serve Adsense ads. In Google Chrome (this doesn't seem to happen in other browsers), the page will get stuck loading pagead2.googlesyndication.com. It will just load for hours if I let it. In the meantime, only about half or slightly more of the dynamic images on my page will have completed loading. It appears this is blocking other elements on my site from loading. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

    At present when I Google the domain name of the WordPress sites I have worked on, I receive at least three listings (often the top three). The first listing is the only one I am interested in seeing, others appear from individual pages from that WordPress site i.e.: 1st hit - www.domain.com 2nd hit - www.domain.com/about 3rd hit - www.domain.com/designers Does anybody know if its possible to remove all the links but the absolute www.domain.com?
