    Hi, I have a JSON response that is formatted from my C# WebMethod using the JavascriptSerializer Class. I currently get the following JSON back from my query: {"d":"[{\"Lat\":\"51.85036\",\"Long\":\"-8.48901\"},{\"Lat\":\"51.89857\",\"Long\":\"-8.47229\"}]"} I'm having an issue with my code below that I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on. I can't seem to get at the information out of the values returned to me. Ideally I would like to be able to read in the Lat and Long values for each row returned to me. Below is what I currently have: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "page.aspx/LoadWayPoints", data: "{'args': '" + $('numJourneys').val() + "'}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { if (msg.d != '[]') { var lat = ""; var long = ""; $.each(msg.d, function () { lat = this['MapLatPosition']; long = this['MapLongPosition']; }); alert('lat =' + lat + ', long =' + long); } } }); I think the issue is something to do with how the JSON is formatted but I might be incorrect.   • Problem with events and ParseControl

    I'm adding a control (linkbutton) dynamically using ParseControl and it's fine except when I specify an event handler. If I use: Dim c As Control = ParseControl("<asp:LinkButton id=""btnHide"" runat=""server"" text=""Hide"" OnClick="btnHide_Click" />") it correctly adds the control to the page but the click event doesn't fire. If instead I find the control in the controls collection and manually wire up the event it works fine. I've tried loading in both Page_Init and Page_Load and it's the same thing either way. Any ideas?

    Somewhat straightforward: will asp:Validators still perform validation when they're in invisible containers? How about if their ControlToValidate target is invisible? For example: <asp:Panel id="myPanel" runat="server" visible="false"> <asp:Textbox id="myTextbox" runat="server" /> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator id="myRfv" runat="server" controltovalidate="myTextbox" /> </asp:Panel> Above is a Validator in an invisible Panel. Would myRfv still perform validation? How about if myTextbox is invisible instead? I'm asking this because I have very specialized Validators in my ASPX, wherein I also have Panels which are hidden/shown dynamically. While I'm all for disabling the validators themselves, I'm just curious whether they'll automatically disable anyway. Thanks guys! :D

  • Filter rows from Cursor so they don't show up in ListView

    I have a Cursor that returns rows I use with a SimpleCursorAdapter to populate a ListView. I would like to filter some of the rows so they don't get displayed in my ListView. I use the data from the rows elsewhere in my Activity so I don't want to change my SQL to filter them with a WHERE clause. What is the best way to keep a row from being displaying in my ListView? Ideally I would check a column in my row and then only add rows to the ListView that satisfy a condition.

    Hi, is there any way to register multiple timer to a single process? I have tried following code, yet without success. (Use "gcc -lrt" to compile it...). Program output nothing, which should atleast print "test".   • MochaUI: 'A is null' when adding columns

    I've just downloaded MochaUI, and I'm playing around trying to build an interface. I've successfully created windows, but I'm having trouble when it comes to layouts with columns. I've included all of the libraries in the same order as the demo, and this is in my init code: window.addEvent('domready', function(){ new MochaUI.Column({ id: 'sideColumn1', placement: 'left', width: 200, resizeLimit: [100, 300] }); }); When run, no column is created and I get the error: A is null Does anyone have any ideas?   • Is it OK to write code after [super dealloc]? (Objective-C)

    I have a situation in my code, where I cannot clean up my classes objects without first calling [super dealloc]. It is something like this: // Baseclass.m @implmentation Baseclass ... -(void) dealloc { [self _removeAllData]; [aVariableThatBelongsToMe release]; [anotherVariableThatBelongsToMe release]; [super dealloc]; } ... @end This works great. My problem is, when I went to subclass this huge and nasty class (over 2000 lines of gross code), I ran into a problem: when I released my objects before calling [super dealloc] I had zombies running through the code that were activated when I called the [self _removeAllData] method. // Subclass.m @implementation Subclass ... -(void) deallloc { [super dealloc]; [someObjectUsedInTheRemoveAllDataMethod release]; } ... @end This works great, and It didn't require me to refactor any code. My question Is this: Is it safe for me to do this, or should I refactor my code? Or maybe autorelease the objects? I am programming for iPhone if that matters any.

I recently bought Javascript: The Good Parts and while I find this a big help, I'm still having trouble designing this application. Especially when it comes to writing function and methods. I have the following database schema: TABLE dbo.LocationName ( LocationId INT PRIMARY KEY, LanguageId INT PRIMARY KEY, Name VARCHAR(200) ) TABLE dbo.Language ( LanguageId INT PRIMARY KEY, Locale CHAR(5) ) And want to build the following class definition: public class LocationName { public virtual int LocationId { get; private set; } public virtual int LanguageId { get; private set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual string Locale { get; set; } } Here is my mapping class: public LocalisedNameMap() { WithTable("LocationName"); UseCompositeId() .WithKeyProperty(x => x.LanguageId) .WithKeyProperty(x => x.LocationId); Map(x => x.Name); WithTable("Language", lang => { lang.WithKeyColumn("LanguageId"); lang.Map(x => x.Locale); }); } The problem is with the mapping of the Locale field being from another table, and in particular that the keys between those tables don't match. Whenever I run the application with this mapping I get the following error on startup: Foreign key (FK7FC009CCEEA10EEE:Language [LanguageId])) must have same number of columns as the referenced primary key (LocationName [LanguageId, LocationId]) How do I tell nHibernate to map from LocationName to Language using only the LanguageId field?

    I'm fairly sure this is possible, but what I want to do is have a generic method where I can pass in an object along with a Expression that will tell the method which Property to use in it's logic. Can anyone get me started on the syntax for something like this? Essentially what I would like to code is something like: Dim firstNameMapper as IColumnMapper = new ColumnMapper(of Author)(Function(x) x.FirstName) Dim someAuthorObject as new Author() fistNameMapper.Map("Richard", someAuthorObject) Now the mapper object would know to set the FirstName property to "Richard".   • Accordion "growing out" from its container - in IE7/8

    I think this problem is best explained by images. This is how my accordion looks: When you click on the small plus/minus icons the slides under each chapter will expand/collapse. However when the content in the accordion grows too tall, it grows out from its container. So if I click on more plus icons the accordion will look like this (not pretty): As you can see, the container is not growing taller together with the accordion and it does not look good. This problem only occurs in IE7 and IE8. It works in Firefox and Chrome. This really should be simple, I don't know why I am struggling to find something.
