  • [PHP.ini] Can't load mcrypt.dll dynamic library.

    - by Kel
Hey guys, I'm trying to load this module: php_mcrypt.dll' Everything in the php.ini file is correct, see for yourself: extension_dir = "C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext" extension=php_mcrypt.dll The file exists in this path. And other modules are in there as well and are loaded successfully. It only has a problem with this particular module. I have a 64bit Windows XP, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.2.13... But i get this warning (error.log of Apache): PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext\php_mcrypt1.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0 PHP itself is working fine. But one of our applications needs this module and it throws me this ugly error. Why on earth does it show me two backslashes in the log file?

  • .NET Application using a native DLL (build management)

    - by moogs
I have a .NET app that is dependent on a native DLL. I have the .NET app set as AnyCPU. In the post-build step, I plan to copy the correct native DLL from some directory (x86 or AMD64) and place it in the target path. However, this doesn't work. On a 64-bit machine, the environment variable PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE is "x86" in Visual Studio. My alternative right now is to create a small tool that outputs the processor architecture. This will be used by the post-build step. Is there a better alternative? (Side Note: when deploying/packaging the app, the right native DLL is copied to the right platform. But this means we have two separate release folders for x86 and AMD64, which is OK since this is for a device driver. The app is a utility tool for the driver).

  • .net app won't run. When compiling on dest machine (same sources) it does work. Why?

    - by reinier
I have a service which needs to be deployed on a clients machine. The destination machine is 64bit. My dev machine is also 64 bit. The app is really simple, listens on a port and does some db things. It targets .net 3.5 When I deploy the Anycpu, the X64 or the X86 version, the thing won't install on the clients machine. I checked dependencywalker and it lists: devmgr.dll ieshims.dll wer.dll anyhow...I install visual studio 2008 on the clients machine... check out all the sources. I don't change a thing and compile. Copy the exe over to it's dest locations...and what do you know..it works. Dependencywalker still lists the same dependency problems. How can it be that the act of compiling it on this machine gives me a different exe?

  • C++ : Lack of Standardization at the Binary Level

    - by Nawaz
Why ISO/ANSI didn't standardize C++ at the binary level? There are many portability issues with C++, which is only because of lack of it's standardization at the binary level. Don Box writes, (quoting from his book Essential COM, chapter COM As A Better C++) C++ and Portability Once the decision is made to distribute a C++ class as a DLL, one is faced with one of the fundamental weaknesses of C++, that is, lack of standardization at the binary level. Although the ISO/ANSI C++ Draft Working Paper attempts to codify which programs will compile and what the semantic effects of running them will be, it makes no attempt to standardize the binary runtime model of C++. The first time this problem will become evident is when a client tries to link against the FastString DLL's import library from a C++ developement environment other than the one used to build the FastString DLL. Are there more benefits Or loss of this lack of binary standardization?

  • Can't register 32bit dll under 64bit windows

    - by Wodzu
Hi guys. I try to create a COM object from my JS script like this: function main() { var MyApplication = new ActiveXObject("Base.Application"); } main(); I am getting error: "Automation server can't create object". This error occurs on Windows 2003 64 bit. The dll is 32 bit and it works fine on 32 bit systems. I've tried both versions of Regsvr32.exe on the 64 bit system and both versions told me that dll registered succesfully. Unfortunatelly the error message does not tell me why it can not create object. The reason is unknown, it might be that it can't create object because it is still not registered or it might be something totally different... I've also add full permisions to this dll. I don't know what else I can do, do you have any ideas?

  • calling a function without knowing the number of parameters in advance

    - by Sourabh Bose
suppose i have a dll with 2 functions.name of dll="dll1" f1(int a, int b, int c); f2(int a); my program would take the funtion name ,the dll name and a "list" of parameters as input. how would i call the appropriate function with its appropriate parameters. i.e, if input is dll1 f1 list(5,8,9) this would require me to call f1 with 3 parameters if input was dll1 f2 list(8) it would require me to call f2 with one parameter how would i call the function without knowing the number of parameters in advance. further clarification: how do I write code that will call any function with all its arguments by building the argument list dynamically using some other source of information

  • Python ctypes argument errors

    - by Patrick Moriarty
Hello. I wrote a test dll in C++ to make sure things work before I start using a more important dll that I need. Basically it takes two doubles and adds them, then returns the result. I've been playing around and with other test functions I've gotten returns to work, I just can't pass an argument due to errors. My code is: import ctypes import string nDLL = ctypes.WinDLL('test.dll') func = nDLL['haloshg_add'] func.restype = ctypes.c_double func.argtypes = (ctypes.c_double,ctypes.c_double) print(func(5.0,5.0)) It returns the error for the line that called "func": ValueError: Procedure probably called with too many arguments (8 bytes in excess) What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  • Does an HttpHandler require an aspnet_isapi.dll mapping

    - by DEH
Hi, If I configure (via web.config) an httphandler to handle all .gif requests for a specific folder, is it absolutely essential for me to map .gif requests to aspnet_isapi.dll in IIS? Is there any other way of ensuring that the .gif http request will be handled by aspnet_isapi.dll? I have a server configured where the virtual dir that contained the .gif-aspnet_isapi.dll mapping has been deleted, but the .gif requests are still being passed to the handler. Anyone know how this might be being done, and where the setting might be lurking? Thanks

  • Shared static classes between AppDomains in loaded library code

    - by Christian Stewart
I'm working on a program in which I want to do something similar to what the Photon Server system does: Offer a common "API" class library, which contains common data classes, enumerations, and interfaces for working with the host program. Have client programs (class libraries) reference this DLL and implement interfaces listed within it. Have the "host" application load built DLL client libraries into separate AppDomains and reference the interfaces that lie within to have polymorphic client code from within a dll file. I have something like this worked out: a class library that contains common code, but I've run into the following question How should I handle static classes? Should I add a method that is called by the host program to synchronize data? How do I keep a static class the same between AppDomains? Should I discard these classes in favor of better interfaces between the code levels? And in general, how do I share data between these loaded AppDomains?

  • Dynamically Loading a DLL

    - by TooFat
I am trying to simply load a dll written in C# at run time and create an instance of a class in that dll. Assembly a = Assembly.LoadFrom(@"C:\Development\DaDll.dll"); Type type = a.GetType("FileReleaseHandler", true); TestInterface.INeeedHelp handler = Activator.CreateInstance(type) as TestInterface.INeeedHelp; No errors are thrown, and if I step through the code I can walk though the FileReleaseHandler Class as it executes the constructor but the value of handler is always null. What am I missing here? or even is there a better way I should be going about this?

  • Loading a Windows DLL in Java and initiate a class from it

    - by Joy
    I have a Windows DLL file from .NET namely "System.Management.dll". I work with it using the code I write below: ManagementObjectSearcher searcher = new ManagementObjectSearcher("root\\CIMV2", "SELECT * FROM Win32_LogicalDisk WHERE Name = 'C:'"); foreach (ManagementObject queryObj in searcher.Get()) { Console.WriteLine("Win32_LogicalDisk instance: "); if (queryObj["VolumeSerialNumber"] != null) { Console.WriteLine("Drive Name : " + queryObj["Name"]); Console.WriteLine("VolumeSerialNumber:", queryObj["VolumeSerialNumber"]); SysdriveSerial = queryObj["VolumeSerialNumber"].ToString(); } } Now I need this piece of code to be in Java. So can I do this? Without anything like c++ unmanaged code. I don't want to use c++ unmanaged code to call to this dll. I want something like this : public class CallToCsharp { private static native void ManagementObjectSearcher(); public static void main(String[] args) { System.loadLibrary("System.Management"); System.out.println("Loaded"); ManagementObjectSearcher searcher = new ManagementObjectSearcher("root\\CIMV2", "SELECT * FROM Win32_LogicalDisk WHERE Name = 'C:'"); } }

  • error calling c# com interop dll

    - by aF
Hello, I have a python project that calls a c++ dll that calls a c# dll. I wanted all to run without installing visual studio 2008. I allready made the c++ part by installing Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) and I also installed .net framework 3.5. But now, when I call a function from c++ dll (and this one calls its correspondent in c#), it gives me this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\Public\SoundLog\Code\Código Python\SoundLog\SoundLog.py", line 821, in OnStart Auxiliar.DataCollection.start(self) File "C:\Users\Public\SoundLog\Code\Código Python\SoundLog\Auxiliar\DataCollection.py", line 68, in start SoundLogDLL.run() File "C:\Users\Public\SoundLog\Code\Código Python\SoundLog\Auxiliar\SoundLogDLL.py", line 61, in run return apiRun() WindowsError: exception code 0xe0434f4d This works where I've installed full VS2008 pro version. • C# & C++, runtime error when call C++ dll from C#

    - by 5YrsLaterDBA
I have written a C++ wrapper DLL for C# to call. The DLL was tested and worked fine with my C++ test program. now integrated with C#, I got runtime error and crashed. Cannot use debugger to see more details. The C++ side has only one method: #ifdef DLLWRAPPERWIN32_EXPORTS #define DLLWRAPPERWIN32_API __declspec(dllexport) #else #define DLLWRAPPERWIN32_API __declspec(dllimport) #endif #include "NB_DPSM.h" extern "C" { DLLWRAPPERWIN32_API int WriteGenbenchDataWrapper(string fileNameToAnalyze, string parameterFileName, string baseNameToSaveData, string logFileName, string& message) ; } in the C# side, there is a definition, [DllImport("..\\..\\thirdParty\\cogs\\DLLWrapperWin32.dll")] public static extern int WriteGenbenchDataWrapper(string fileNameToAnalyze, string parameterFileName, string baseNameToSaveData, string logFileName, ref string message); and a call: string msg = ""; int returnVal = WriteGenbenchDataWrapper(rawDataFileName, parameterFileName, outputBaseName, logFileName, ref msg); I guess there must be something wrong with the last parameter of the function. string& in C++ should be ref string in C#?

  • C# Struct No Parameterless Constructor? See what I need to accomplish

    - by Changeling
I am using a struct to pass to an unmanaged DLL as so - [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public struct valTable { public byte type; public byte map; public byte spare1; public byte spare2; public int par; public int min; public byte[] name; public valTable() { name = new byte[24]; } } The code above will not compile because VS 2005 will complain that "Structs cannot contain explicit parameterless constructors". In order to pass this struct to my DLL, I have to pass an array of struct's like so valTable[] val = new valTable[281]; What I would like to do is when I say new, the constructor is called and it creates an array of bytes like I am trying to demonstrate because the DLL is looking for that byte array of size 24 in each dimension. How can I accomplish this?

  • Loading LLVM passes on Cygwin

    - by user666730
I am trying to write an LLVM pass on Windows using Cygwin. When I make the project, a dll gets created in the Release/bin directory instead of a .so file in the Release/lib directory. The latter is what is shown in the LLVM document. When I try to load this dll using the -load flag, nothing happens. $opt -load ../../../Release/bin/Pass.dll -help The pass that I am trying to load isn't printed after this. How do I get this right?

  • Remove c:/windows/syswow64/msxml4.dll

    - by Rolf
A program has installed c:/windows/syswow64/msxml4.dll on my hard drive. Sadly this is an old version (4.30.2100.0) with a security problem therefore I really wants to remove the file and the program that installed it. MSXML4 is not in the list of programs that I can uninstall under "Programs and features". Is there a way to find the program that installed it in windows 8.1? Hope some of you can help.

  • Windows 7 recreate my .exe/.dll files

    - by Anonymous
hi, i have a few programs that check if file exist, and if its old version delete him and paste the new one. However under Windows 7 Professional i can't delete the file some System process is always restoring it (same with the dll files) and as you can imagine a lot of programs are crashing because of that behaviour. So WHAT SERVICE/PROCESS can lock/recreate/restore files? I have disabled System Recovery.

  • Windows Start Menu Not Staying on Top

    - by Jeff Rapp
Hey everyone. I've had this problem since Windows Vista. I did a clean install with Windows 7 and hoped it would fix the problem. Also swapped out the video card just to rule out a strange driver issue. Here's what's happening. After running for some period of time (usually a few hours), the Start button/orb will loose it's "Chrome" and turn into a plain button that just says "Start." It will work fine for a while, but then the start menu will just stop showing. Additionally, when I hit Win+D to show the desktop, the entire taskbar completely disappears. I can get it back usually by moving/minimizing windows that may be overlapping where the start menu should show. Otherwise, it requires either a full reboot or I'll end up killing & restarting the explorer.exe process. I realize that this is a strange issue - I took a video of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B3WwT0uyr4 Thanks! --Edit-- Here's my HijackThis log: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.3 (BETA) Scan saved at 4:19:00 PM, on 12/16/2009 Platform: Unknown Windows (WinNT 6.01.3504) MSIE: Internet Explorer v8.00 (8.00.7600.16385) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pantone\hueyPRO\hueyPROTray.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\acrotray.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\jusched.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\MagicDisc\MagicDisc.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Trillian\trillian.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\Ssms.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DevServer\9.0\WebDev.WebServer.EXE C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiddler2\Fiddler.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\mspdbsrv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Support Files\Contents\Windows\Illustrator.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\ColorPic 4.1\ColorPic.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Help 9\dexplore.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Help 9\dexplore.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\eBay\Blackthorne\bin\BT.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio\Recorder.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio\Playplus.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox 3.6 Beta 3\firefox.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio\Playplus.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\PuTTY\putty.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio\Playplus.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio\Playplus.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\TrendMicro\HiJackThis\HiJackThis.exe R1 - • What if an application needs MSVCR80.dll but I've installed Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0?

    - by user198729
I'm trying to install this: http://www.coderholic.com/pywebshot-generate-website-thumbnails-using-python/ I've googled a lot,and still can't make it work(gtk runtime has been installed successfully(gtk-demo works),but it still reports can't find MSVCR80.dll,this should be because that I have installed Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0?), each time it reports ImportError: DLL load failed,MSVCR80.dll is not found.. How to make an application that needs MSVCR80.dll work when I've already installed Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0? Or : How to make _gtk.pyd use MSVCR90.dll instead of MSVCR80.dll?

  • Server.CreateObject Fails when calling .Net object from ASP on 64-bit windows in IIS 32-bit mode

    - by DrFredEdison
I have a server running Windows 2003 64-bit, that runs IIS in 32-bit mode. I have a COM object that was registered using the following command: C:\WINDOWS\microsoft.net\Framework\v2.0.50727>regasm D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll /tlb:MyTLB.tlb /codebase When I create the object via ASP I get: Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 8000ffff' Server.CreateObject Failed /includes/a_URLFilter.asp, line 19 8000ffff When I create the object in a vbs script and use the 32-bit version of cscript (in \Windows\syswow64) it works fine. I've checked permissions on the DLL, and the IUSR has Read/Execute. Even if I add the IUSR to the Administrators group, I get the same error. This is the log from ProcessMonitor filtering for the path of my dll (annotated with my actions): [Stop IIS] 1:56:30.0891918 PM w3wp.exe 4088 CloseFile D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS [Start IIS] [Refresh ASP page that uses DLL] 1:56:42.7825154 PM w3wp.exe 2196 QueryOpen D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS CreationTime: 8/19/2009 1:11:17 PM, LastAccessTime: 8/19/2009 1:30:26 PM, LastWriteTime: 8/18/2009 12:09:33 PM, ChangeTime: 8/19/2009 1:22:02 PM, AllocationSize: 20,480, EndOfFile: 20,480, FileAttributes: A 1:56:42.7825972 PM w3wp.exe 2196 QueryOpen D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS CreationTime: 8/19/2009 1:11:17 PM, LastAccessTime: 8/19/2009 1:30:26 PM, LastWriteTime: 8/18/2009 12:09:33 PM, ChangeTime: 8/19/2009 1:22:02 PM, AllocationSize: 20,480, EndOfFile: 20,480, FileAttributes: A 1:56:42.7826961 PM w3wp.exe 2196 CreateFile D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS Desired Access: Generic Read, Disposition: Open, Options: Synchronous IO Non-Alert, Non-Directory File, Attributes: N, ShareMode: Read, Delete, AllocationSize: n/a, Impersonating: SERVER2\IUSR_SERVER2, OpenResult: Opened 1:56:42.7827194 PM w3wp.exe 2196 CreateFileMapping D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS SyncType: SyncTypeCreateSection, PageProtection: 1:56:42.7827546 PM w3wp.exe 2196 CreateFileMapping D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS SyncType: SyncTypeOther 1:56:42.7829130 PM w3wp.exe 2196 Load Image D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS Image Base: 0x6350000, Image Size: 0x8000 1:56:42.7830590 PM w3wp.exe 2196 Load Image D:\Path\To\MyDll.dll SUCCESS Image Base: 0x6360000, Image Size: 0x8000 1:56:42.7838855 PM w3wp.exe 2196 CreateFile D:\Webspace\SecurityDll\bin SUCCESS Desired Access: Read Data/List Directory, Synchronize, Disposition: Open, Options: Directory, Synchronous IO Non-Alert, Attributes: n/a, ShareMode: Read, Write, Delete, AllocationSize: n/a, Impersonating: SERVER2\IUSR_SERVER2, OpenResult: Opened 1:56:42.7839081 PM w3wp.exe 2196 QueryDirectory D:\Path\To\MyDll.INI NO SUCH FILE Filter: SecurityDll.INI 1:56:42.7839281 PM w3wp.exe 2196 CloseFile D:\Webspace\SecurityDll\bin SUCCESS [Refresh ASP page that uses DLL] [Refresh ASP page that uses DLL] [Refresh ASP page that uses DLL] This dll works fine on other servers, running 32-bit windows.
