However I want it to only display only 2 of the results. I tried instantiating some kind of index counter but I was unsuccessful. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

What if I have a n states system, how would I spray some "dt" in the F matrix?

    Is there any Inheritance problem with <table>, tr th td tbody thead tfoot also like form elements? In IE 6+ and FF 3+ with Strict doctype. Tables also have inheritance turned off in some browsers. You may notice that in some browsers, your tables’ text will be larger, clunkier and not so pretty. This is also due to inheritance. Many browsers give tables their own style. It's mentioned here http://www.komodomedia.com/blog/2006/10/css-trickery-part-5-inheritance/ For which browsers author is talking about, it's not mentioned I tested on FF 3.6 and IE7 but unable to find is there any issue.     in default css what should i predefined for <table>, td, th , thead, tbody, tfoot I have to work in a project there are so many tables with different color schemes and different type of alignment like in some table , i will need to horizontally align data of cell to right, sometime left, sometime right. same thing for vertical alignment, top, bottom and middle. some table will have thin border on row , some will have thick (same with column border). Some time i want to give different background color to particular row or column or in multiple row or column. So my question is: What code should i keep in css default for all tables and how to handle table with different style using ID and classes in multiple pages. I want to do every presentational thing with css. How to make ID classes for everything using semantic naming ? Which tags related to table can be useful?

And what if variable is signed integral type (for example, int) and its value is zero positive negative? What does the Standard say about this? P.S. And, yes, I'm interesting in both - C and C++, please don't tell me they are different languages, because I know this :) I can paste real example, if needed, but the post will become too long

I don't understand how to wrap the arrow with this: ui-state-default ui-corner-all because themeroller is using list items, and I'm using table head cells. I don't want to use: <th class="ui-state-default ui-corner-all"> because that highlights the entire cell.

    I need to generate a mass mailing based on a word document model with PHP. Given is a database with the adresses and the data that need to be filled in my word model. I want to generate a single word document with the different adresses and field contents from the database. We have a Linux server and the COM object is not avalaible. Is there a ready to use class to do this? Did you had any experiance with PHPWord? What is the best practice in this case? In the ideal case the client should just upload th word master document, with the fields that need to be filled and then fusioned to a multiple pages word document containing the whole mailing.

    I've got addresses I need to clean up for matching purposes. Part of the process is trimming unwanted suffices from housenumbers, e.g: mainstreet 4a --> mainstreet 4. However I don't want: 618 5th Ave SW --> 618 5 Ave SW in other words there are some strings (for now: st, nd, rd, th) which I don't want to strip. What would be the best method of doing this (regex or otherwise) ? a wokring regex without the exceptions would be: a = a.replaceAll("(^| )([0-9]+)[a-z]+($| )","$1$2$3"); //replace 1a --> 1 I thought about first searching and substiting the special cases with special characters while keeping the references in a map, then do the above regex, and then doing the reverse substitute using the reference map, but I'm looking for a simpler solution.   • Will this make the object thread-safe?

    I have a native Visual C++ COM object and I need to make it completely thread-safe to be able to legally mark it as "free-threaded" in th system registry. Specifically I need to make sure that no more than one thread ever accesses any member variable of the object simultaneously. The catch is I'm almost sure that no sane consumer of my COM object will ever try to simultaneously use the object from more than one thread. So I want the solution as simple as possible as long as it meets the requirement above. Here's what I came up with. I add a mutex or critical section as a member variable of the object. Every COM-exposed method will acquire the mutex/section at the beginning and release before returning control. I understand that this solution doesn't provide fine-grained access and this might slow execution down, but since I suppose simultaneous access will not really occur I don't care of this. Will this solution suffice? Is there a simpler solution?

  • Getting every nth Element of a Sequence

    I am looking for a way to create a sequence consisting of every nth element of another sequence, but don't seem to find a way to do that in an elegant way. I can of course hack something, but I wonder if there is a library function that I'm not seeing. The sequence functions whose names end in -i seem to be quite good for the purpose of figuring out when an element is the nth one or (multiple of n)th one, but I can only see iteri and mapi, none of which really lends itself to the task. Example: let someseq = [1;2;3;4;5;6] let partial = Seq.magicfunction 3 someseq Then partial should be [3;6]. Is there anything like it out there? Edit: If I am not quite as ambitious and allow for the n to be constant/known, then I've just found that the following should work: let rec thirds lst = match lst with | (_,_,x)::t -> x::thirds t | _ -> [] Would there be a way to write this shorter?

    I'm looking for an equivalent of nginx http auth request module but for Apache. For each incoming HTTP requests, the module sends a subrequests to authentication/authorization back-end. Th auth request carries a path and all headers of the original request. Based on the result of the auth request, the original requests is allowed (HTTP code 200), denied (HTTP code 403) or login is requested (HTTP code 401). Such a generic mechanism allows to build really flexible authentication and authorization schemes. Is something like this possible in Apache (likely with a help of some third party module)?

  • Objective C instance variables - Newbie

    OK - so I'm sure my confusion here is just a result of being stuck in a "Java mindset" and not understanding how Obj C differs in this case. In Java, I can declare a variable in a class, like this, and each instance of that class will have it's own: MyClass { String myVar; MyClass() { // constructor } } In Obj C I tried to do the same thing by declaring a variable only in the .m file like this: #import "MyClass.h" @implementation MyClass NSString *testVar; @end My expectation here was that this variable has a scope limited to this class. So I created a second class (identical): #import "MySecondClass.h" @implementation MySecondClass NSString *testVar; @end What I'm seeing (and has me baffled) is that changing the variable in one class, affects the value seen in the other class. In fact, if I set a breakpoint, and then "Jump to Definition" of the variable, it takes me to th I've created an extremely small XCode project that demonstrates the problem here Nothing more humbling than moving to a new language :) Thanks in advance.

    What if one wants to apply a functon i.e. to each row of a matrix, but also wants to use as an argument for this function the number of that row. As an example, suppose you wanted to get the n-th root of the numbers in each row of a matrix, where n is the row number.     Hi, I am trying to make a plot of a 2-Dimensional vector(2D Plot).But I don't want all the datapoints to have the same color on the plot.Each datapoint corresponds to a group.I want to have different colors for each group of datapoints. class=[1 3 2 5 2 5 1 3 3 4 2 2 2] says each datapoint belongs to which group X=[x1,y1;x2,y2;x3,y3;.....] the number of thes datapoints are the same as the number of elements in th class vector.   • FKs on all tables for status colunm

    I have a colunm "Status" in every table in my DB. The purpose of it is to show if the given row is in use or if it has been deactivated. So values can be (0=deactive and 1= active). Two ways I see this: I can have enums or I am thinking if it is better to keep this colunm as a FK which references the main system data dictionary table which has all the codes used on the system. (website) The benefit is every table, every row can then be centralized through this FK. So if i ever want to check all rows which are deactive on my system i can from this table as all th child tables will have like status = ID 233, where 233 = deactive in the data dictionary table. Any benefit or should i stick with the old way of enums?. Also I am thinking if i need one more status for deleted or is that same as deactivated?

    I need to find the last path or circle in a paper, in order to perform further calculations to draw more elements, and calling 'paper.bottom' only gets the last element. Is there any way to get shapes of specific types, e.g. bottom.path, bottom.circle or traverse for the n'th child? I want to avoid using jQuery selectors, as i can't retrieve any properties from those.   • jQuery infinite loop w/ tablesorter

    Got myself in a funny situation: page has three tables. Using sortEnd, any time you sort one table, it sorts the other three. However, since I bound sortEnd to the function that does the sorting, you get a infinite loop of sorting/resorting.
