• Confluence or apache on win server 2008 cant find scripts and images :(

  I am a newbie to both Tomcat and Apache. I have set the virtual hosts as described in Here. And JIRA works fine when i browse the URL jira.agmlab.com. However when i try to access Confluence(3.4.5) with confluence.agmlab.com the pages come in plain html, i can login and browse pages but there is no css or js so that my confluence pages look very ugly. what can possibly cause this and how to fix this? here is my virtual hosts definitions : # # Virtual Hosts # # If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Can it be something related with the permissions defined in Win Server 2008 ? maybe there is not enough rights (such as read execute ) in some users, directories ??

  What I'm trying to do is query the datastore for a model where the key is not the key of an object I already have. The idea is to find another User who doesn't have a partner, that isn't the User we already know. I've tried filter('key !=, user.key()), filter('__key__ !=, user.key()) and a couple others, and nothing returns another User who doesn't have a partner. filter('foo !=, user.key()) also returns nothing, for the record.

I have a table and one of its column is referring to another column in another table (in the same database) as foreign key, here is the related SQL statement, in more details, column [AnotherID] in table [Foo] refers to another table [Goo]'s column [GID] as foreign key. [GID] is primary key and clustered index on table [Goo]. My question is, in this way, if I do not create index on [AnotherID] column on [Foo] explicitly, will there be an index created automatically for [AnotherID] column on [Foo] -- because its foreign key reference column [GID] on table [Goo] already has primary clustered key index? • Referencing surrogate key

  I have a table that has an autoincrement surrogate key. I want to use it as a foreign key of my other table. The thing is, I cant figure out how I can reference it to that table, because it is nearly impossible to determine what I have to reference(the actual value of the surrogate key). Please be noted that what I am trying to do is adding a tuple/record through my program(outside the dbms). The process is: Add a new record in Table1 and generate an autoincrement key. Update Add a new record in Table2 and reference its foreign key to the primary key of Table1. Update My question is : HOW do I store the foreign key if I didnt know what is it?

• OS X Terminal: Meta key + alt functionality at the same time

  Is there a way to use "alt/option" key as a meta key but still be able to use the key to make some characters which need it? For example in my local keyboard layout: @ is alt-2 \ is alt-shift-7 | is alt-7 etc. So if I set alt as meta key, I can't make those characters. On the other hand using "press esc, release esc, press a key" to make meta key sequences makes my hands hurt. Any emacs users with international keyboards who have solved this, please give any tips you might have! :) edit: It appears that I can set alt as meta key and then add these kind of settings in inputrc: "\e2": "@" This works in bash shell but it still won't work with emacs though, so no good.

  I have a table that has attributes based on a key-value. Example: CREATE TABLE ObjectAttributes ( int objectId, key nvarchar(64), value nvarchar(512) ) When I select from this I get: objectId key value ---------------------------- 1 Key 1 Value 1 1 Key 2 Value 2 I was wondering if I could use the PIVOT syntax to turn this into: objectId Key 1 Key 2 --------------------------- 1 Value 1 Value 2 I know all of my tables will have the same keys. (Unfortunately I cannot easily change the table structure. This is what is leading me to attempt using PIVOTS). The big issue here though is that pivots require an aggression function to be used. Is there a way to avert this? Am I completely wrong attempting this? Or is there a better solution?

  When you hold a key on the keyboard under Windows XP, the keyboard seems to send Key Down, Key Up repeatedly. However I am developing for a device where holding a key generates a "proper" key repeat, that is, lots of Key Down and then one Key Up when you release the button. I want to get the same behaviour under Windows to get our emulator to work as on he device. Is there anyway to acheive this? Do I need to get another keyboard driver? Thanks!

• sftp and public keys

  I am trying to sftp into an a server hosted by someone else. To make sure this worked I did the standard sftp [email protected] i was promted with the password and that worked fine. I am setting up a cron script to send a file once a week so have given them our public key which they claim to have added to their authorized_keys file. I now try sftp [email protected] again and I am still prompted for a password, but now the password doesn't work... Connecting to [email protected]... [email protected]'s password: Permission denied, please try again. [email protected]'s password: Permission denied, please try again. [email protected]'s password: Permission denied (publickey,password). Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer I did notice however that if I simply pressed enter (no password) it logged me in fine... So here are my questions: Is there a way to check what privatekey/pulbickey pair my sftp connection is using? Is it possible to specify what key pair to use? If all is setup correctly (using correct key pair and added to authorized files) why am I being asked to enter a blank password? Thanks for your help in advance! • Error occurs when Win 7 opens

  I have an HP customized laptop barely a week old. Since yesterday it has given me an error message while opening Windows- every time. it gives error code (0x40000015) refers to an exception at location (0x0033fa4d). I have 64 bit Win 7 and had been transferring files. And installing programs. 8 GB Ram 650 gb hard drive. Not sure which program caused this. Q's that I've seen with this error code all say it occurs while shutting down. A search re. error code told me to use a removal tool. When I downloaded the tool,I got a message saying it is not compatible with Windows 7. Is that really possible? Search re. location code yielded nothing I am an intermediate user. I can restore to an earlier time but I don't know which program might do this again.

In this article we will understand the role of Key-Value Pair Databases and Document Databases Supporting Big Data Story. Now we will see a few of the examples of the operational databases. Relational Databases (Yesterday’s post) NoSQL Databases (Yesterday’s post) Key-Value Pair Databases (This post) Document Databases (This post) Columnar Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Graph Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Spatial Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Key Value Pair Databases Key Value Pair Databases are also known as KVP databases. A key is a field name and attribute, an identifier. The content of that field is its value, the data that is being identified and stored. They have a very simple implementation of NoSQL database concepts. They do not have schema hence they are very flexible as well as scalable. The disadvantages of Key Value Pair (KVP) database are that they do not follow ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) properties. Additionally, it will require data architects to plan for data placement, replication as well as high availability. In KVP databases the data is stored as strings. As there is no specific schema or rules associated with the database, there are chances that database grows exponentially as well. Riak Rick is one of the most popular Key Value Database. It is known for its scalability and performance in high volume and velocity database. Additionally, it implements a mechanism for collection key and values which further helps to build manageable system. We will further discuss Riak in future blog posts. Key Value Databases are a good choice for social media, communities, caching layers for connecting other databases. In simpler words, whenever we required flexibility of the data storage keeping scalability in mind – KVP databases are good options to consider. Document Database There are two different kinds of document databases. 1) Full document Content (web pages, word docs etc) and 2) Storing Document Components for storage. The second types of the document database we are talking about over here. They use Javascript Object Notation (JSON) and Binary JSON for the structure of the documents. JSON is very easy to understand language and it is very easy to write for applications. There are two major structures of JSON used for Document Database – 1) Name Value Pairs and 2) Ordered List. MongoDB and CouchDB are two of the most popular Open Source NonRelational Document Database. MongoDB MongoDB databases are called collections. Each collection is build of documents and each document is composed of fields. MongoDB collections can be indexed for optimal performance. MongoDB ecosystem is highly available, supports query services as well as MapReduce. It is often used in high volume content management system. CouchDB CouchDB databases are composed of documents which consists fields and attachments (known as description). It supports ACID properties. The main attraction points of CouchDB are that it will continue to operate even though network connectivity is sketchy. Due to this nature CouchDB prefers local data storage. Document Database is a good choice of the database when users have to generate dynamic reports from elements which are changing very frequently. A good example of document usages is in real time analytics in social networking or content management system.   If your website uses the AppPoolIdentity and requires access to the private key of an x509Certficate, you’ll need to grant the read permissions to the iis application pool.   To grant permissions to the AppPoolIdentity: Run Certificates.MMC (or Start->run->mmc.exe, Add Certificate Snap-In for LocalMachine) Select the certificate (Personal node on the certificate tree) , right click and Manage Permissions. Add a new user to the permissions list. Enter "IIS AppPool\AppPoolName" on the local machine". Replace "AppPoolName" with the name of your application pool.

• Vim key mappings / plugin XCode?

  I'm a developer who mostly does web stuff in ruby and C#.. I'd like to start tinkering with iOS and Mac development, Over the last few month i've been trying to get fluent in one set of key bindings (vi / vim because it just feels right).. I have the awesome ViEmu installed for visual studio on windows which gives me a ton of the vim awesomeness side by side with visual studio power toys.. Is there anything like this for xcode? I know i could set up MacVim as the default editor but i'm not too interested in this as it means losing all of xcode's cocoa awareness.. The other option of course would be to go for the lowest common denominator and switch to emacs (as the mac keybindings are based massively on emacs) but lets not think about that for too long. :P

• Getting fingerprint from Apache certificate (combined with key)

  I have just created a certificate for my Apache SSL host using: make-ssl-cert /usr/share/ssl-cert/ssleay.cnf /etc/ssl/private/myhost.crt Now that is the correct way to get the fingerprint out of it? (So I can keep it in other place for visual comparison---in case I need to connect and really don't trust the network?) openssl sha1 /etc/ssl/private/myhost.crt returns different SHA1 than Opera tells me about the cert. Is this because it's combined with the key? (...or am I spoofed already? :-)).

• Unity: Assigning a key to perform an action in the inspector

  I am trying to write a simple piece of code in JavaScript where a button toggles the activation of a shield, by dragging a prefab with Resources.load("ActivateShieldPreFab") and destroying it again (Haven't implemented that yet). I wish to assign this button through the inspector, so I have created a string variable which appears as intended in the inspector. Though it doesn't seem to register the inspector input, even though I changed the value through the inspector. • How did Ubuntu know my WPA Key?

  I've recently moved my /home to another computer (keeping all configuration files), with a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.10. After Installation I've installed wicd and ndiswrapper, to get my Internet Connection up and running. However, after changing /etc/network/interfaces from auto lo iface lo inet loopback To auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet dhcp and running sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart to get wlan0 set up, wicd just suddenly connected... to my modem. Without supplying any information about the modem whatsoever. Of course wicd creates a local directory at ~/.wicd/, but that directory is empty, and the temporary global configuration at /var/lib/wicd/configurations/ didn't exist due to fresh installation of ubuntu. So what's the deal? Where did wicd get the ESSID and the WPA Key? There hasn't been any activity in this question, but it's still open (and even worth some rep)!

If I'm faced with a choice of having a circular reference or just not enforcing the restraint, which is the better choice? In my particular case I have customers and addresses. I want an address to have a reference to a customer and I want each customer to have a default billing address id and a default shipping address id. I might query for all addresses that have a certain customer ID or I might query for the address with the ID that matches the default shipping or billing address ids. I'm not sure yet how the constraints (or lack of) will effect the system as my application and it's data age.

• '6' key stuck when outside the graphical interface

  A strange thing has been happening since I installed Ubuntu. Whenever I'm not on the graphical interface, that is, if I do ctrl+alt+f2, or while the system is shutting down, or when I try to reset my password accessing root on security mode, the '6' key seems to be stuck. This doesn't affect my day-to-day usage at all, but whenever I change from the graphical console, I can't do anything because it keeps pressing '666666...'. Does anyone know why that might be happening? My keyboard is a Logitech G710+, and hasn't shown any other possible compatibility issues.

• Books or guides regarding secure key storage and database encryption

  I have an idea for a SaaS product I want to create, however, this product will store extremely sensitive data that needs to be encrypted at rest. The trouble is not so much the encryption, but the problem of securely storing the keys so that in the event the server was somehow compromised, the keys couldn't just be recovered and used to decrypt the database. Are there any decent books to guides regarding database encryption, and in particular secure key storage? This seems to be a less than straightforward topic and something that is difficult to get right. I'm seeing multiple ways to attack such a system, but unable to come up with one that is secure enough to store highly confidential information.

• How to connect a Win XP PC and Win 7 PC with a Linksys WRT54G Router to a PPPOE connection ?

  I have two PCs and a WRT56G Router. My provider is a PPPOE connection (username and password). I can connect my Windows 7 easily. Even if I choose Auto or PPPOE on the router's configuration. Maybe because this one had the connection in the first place with the username and password set up. But I can't connect the Windows XP PC. Actually it does connect in a way, but it receives and sents just a few packages. I can actually see in My Network Places how many packages does the Gateway make and it's a big difference. And it won't open any page. How should I set up the router so I can give enough bandwith to the Windows XP PC ? I've seen another problem that I forgot to mention. The router can't connect with the pppoe settings. I don't know why, but with Auto DHCP setting and my Windows 7 connected with pppoe settings works. EDIT2: I've installed Win 7 on the other PC so I won't have any problem of compatibility betwen them. But I still can't connect the router with PPPOE settings to the internet. How would I do that? I tried xmodmap -e "keycode 133 = Control_L" and corresponding commands for keycodes 134 (right command) and 37 (control left). I even tried these commands, plus xmodmap -pke > ~/.Xmodmap and xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap in .xinitrc.
