• How to find Key and IV value from .Net to PHP

- by PHP-Prabhu
Can any one please let me know is there any way to find a solution for the below stuffs. I need to find out the KEY and IV value from the below byte array. the byte array in .net and this has to be convert into KEY(string) and IV(string) via PHP. private static readonly byte[] Key = { 0xda, 0x3c, 0x35, 0x6f, 0xbd, 0xd, 0x87, 0xf0, 0x9a, 0x7, 0x6d, 0xab, 0x7e, 0x82, 0x36, 0xa, 0x1a, 0x5a, 0x77, 0xfe, 0x74, 0xf3, 0x7f, 0xa8, 0xaa, 0x4, 0x11, 0x46, 0x6b, 0x2d, 0x48, 0xa1 }; private static readonly byte[] IV = { 0x6d, 0x2d, 0xf5, 0x34, 0xc7, 0x60, 0xc5, 0x33, 0xe2, 0xa3, 0xd7, 0xc3, 0xf3, 0x39, 0xf2, 0x16 };

• Create Class objects based on type signature

- by Andreas_D
Class.forName(boolean.class.getName()); This doesn't work in Java - the virtual machine slaps you with a ClassNotFoundException. I was in need for something like that because I wanted to reflect methods based on Strings that included the method signatures, like public void doSomething(boolean yesWeCan, java.lang.String[] presidents); At the end I came up with a custom 'ClassFactory' which translates the type Strings to class objects. This factory includes a lot of handlers for primitive and array type values. The handler for array type objects is something like: if (isArrayOfObjects) { return Class.forName("L["+typeName.replace("[]", "")+";"); } My question is - have I missed something in the Java 1.5+ API that might do the trick?

• Cakephp: Access data in add function

- by Chris
I'm using the CakePHP blog example: function add() { if (!empty($this->data)) { if ($this->Post->saveAll($this->data)) { $this->Session->setFlash('Your post has been saved.'); $this->redirect(array('action' => 'index')); } }} I want to modify it in a way that the user is redirected to the post after adding it: But this doesn't work: $this->redirect(array('action' => 'view', $this->Post->id))); What is the correct way to read the model's data after creation?

• How can I convert floating point values in text to binary using Perl?

- by YoDar
I have text file looks like that: float a[10] = { 7.100000e+000 , 9.100000e+000 , 2.100000e+000 , 1.100000e+000 , 8.200000e+000 , 7.220000e+000 , 7.220000e+000 , 7.222000e+000 , 1.120000e+000 , 1.987600e+000 }; unsigned int col_ind[10] = { 1 , 4 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 1 , 5 }; Now, I want to convert each array (float / unsigned int) to different binary files - big endian type. Binary file for all float values and binary file for all integer values. What is the simple way to do it in Perl, consider I have over 2 millon elements in each array?

• filter functions problem

- by Adam
I'm working on a search component for an app I'm working on and I needed to add some filters to it. I've found an example and got the first filter working fine. Now I'm trying to add a second filter I'm running into problems... In the example I found they use filterFunctions, but I only get an option for filterFunction, why is that? Here's the example code productsCollection.filterFunctions = [ filterByPrice, filterByType, filterByCondition, filterByVendor ] And this is what I'm trying acData.filterFunction = [filterByStatus, filterByDate] but with this code I get the following error message - 1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type Array to an unrelated type Function. Why am I getting this error and how would I go about add multiple filters to my Array Collection? Thanks!

• symfony 1.4 embedForm not returning all embedded forms

- by Patrick
I have a form with multiple embedded forms and symfony is not binding all the embedded forms. The layout is a m-to-m layout: activity: id: link: id: activity_id: FOREIGN KEY to activity table other_data_id: FOREIGN KEY to other_data table other_data: id: For instance I have 7 identical embedded forms iterated at the end of each name (ie- form_1, form_2, ..., form_7). With the new and edit forms all the 7 fields display properly, but when I submit the form, the embedded forms after a certain number just aren't in the embedded forms array of the sfForm. I have two different embedded forms, the first form stops binding at 5 and the second form stops binding at 4. I've looked at the array of posted values through $request->getPostParameters(); and all the fields are there. If I manually enter the data into the database, the binding works without a problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

• How do I change the class of an object to a subclass of its current class in C++?

- by Jared P
I have an array of pointers to a base class, so that I can make those pointers point to (different) subclasses of the base class, but still interact with them. (really only a couple of methods which I made virtual and overloaded) I'm wondering if I can avoid using the pointers, and instead just make an array of the base class, but have some way to set the class to the subclass of my choosing. I know there must be something there specifying the class, as it needs to use that to look up the function pointer for virtual methods. By the way, the subclasses all have the same ivars and layout. Note: the design is actually based on using a template argument instead of a variable, due to performance increases, so really the abstract base class is just the interface for the subclasses, which are all the same except for their compiled code. Thanks

• Recommended place for pre-translated Zend Framework resources

- by Exception e
Since zf 1.10 Zend Framework ships with pre-translated validation messages. They are outside the library path. The manual illustrates how to load these in your bootstrap. $translator = new Zend_Translate( 'array', '/resources/languages', $language, array('scan' => Zend_Locale::LOCALE_DIRECTORY) ); Zend_Validate_Abstract::setDefaultTranslator($translator); I am inclined to think that these resources are specific to the zf-version; validators could change over time. If i copy the resources to my application tree I need to perform additional maintenance each time I upgrade to a newer version. What is best practice? Is there a ZF convention already?

• How to use separat block caches for secure and unsecure shop access in Magento?

- by Uwe Mesecke
I use the Magento block cache for the top navigation block. The problem is the block has to generate some urls for files in the skin directory that cannot be put into css files as the file names depend on category model data. Now when I open magento using a secure connection (https://) the navigation block is fetched from the cache and is sent to the browser but with the http:// urls resulting in a warning in most browsers about unsecure elements on the page. I'd like the have separat caches for secure and unsecure connections. The navigation block extends the class Mage_Catalog_Block_Navigation and therefore has the following cache configuration: $this->addData(array( 'cache_lifetime' => false, 'cache_tags' => array(Mage_Catalog_Model_Category::CACHE_TAG, Mage_Core_Model_Store_Group::CACHE_TAG), ));

• Javascript function programming — receiving elaborate parameters

- by Barney
I'm writing a Javascript function that would manipulate an array written on-the-fly and sent as a parameter. The function is written as follows: function returnJourney(animation,clean){ var properties = {}; // loads of other inane stuff for(i in animation[0]) properties[animation[0][i]] = animation[0].i; // heaps more inane stuff } The animation in question is a set of parameters for a jQuery animation. Typically it takes the format of ({key:value,key:value},speedAsInteger,modifierAsString). So to kick off initial debugging I call it with: returnJouney(({'foo':'bar'},3000),1); And straight off the bat things are way off. As far as I see it this would have returnJourney acknowledge clean === 1, and animation being an array with an object as its first child and the number 3000 as its second. Firebug tells me animation evaluates as the number 3000. What am I doing wrong?

• Specify fields in a recursive find with cakephp

- by Razor Storm
Suppose I have a table Recipe that hasmany ingredients. I do a recursive find to grab recipes with their associated ingredients: $this->Recipe->find('all', array('fields' => array('id','title','description'))); Here I can use the 'fields' attribute to specify that I only want it to return id, title, and description. However, despite this, cakephp still returns ALL columns from the ingredients table. How do I tell cakephp that I only want ingredient table's id and name fields? btw ingredient model is "Ingredient" and the table is ingredients, and the aggregation table is recipes_ingredients.

• What is the result of "new int[ 0 ]"? [closed]

- by ArunSaha
Possible Duplicates: What does zero-sized array allocation do/mean? C++ new int[0] — will it allocate memory? int * p; p = new int[ 0 ]; What is the expected outcome when new is called for zero number of elements? Is the outcome defined or undefined? Further, is it okay to call delete [] p; on that pointer? What is the intuition/analogy to this situation of pointer to an array of zero elements? Thanks in advance. Regards, Arun

• WordPress Custom Taxonomies

- by Cameron
I have the following code to build a custom taxonomy for my portfolio: add_action( 'init', 'create_pc_db_taxonomies', 0 ); function create_pc_db_taxonomies() { register_taxonomy( 'type', 'post', array( 'hierarchical' => true, 'label' => 'Type', 'query_var' => true, 'rewrite' => array( 'slug' => 'type' ) ) ); } I have created a portfolio category on my site (I removed the /category/ base) and have created some items and set the custom taxonomies against them. So I get the following setup: http://domain.com/portfolio/item1/ but what I want is for the taxonomy links to look like this: http://domain.com/portfolio/type/web and then this will show a list of portfolio items related to the that type. At the moment they are root like http://domain.com/type/web I have tried add portfolio/type as the taxonomy slug but it just creates a 404 but i'm pretty sure this is the wrong way of doing it anyways. Any help? Thanks

• What's a good way to add a large number of small floats together?

- by splicer
Say you have 100000000 32-bit floating point values in an array, and each of these floats has a value between 0.0 and 1.0. If you tried to sum them all up like this result = 0.0; for (i = 0; i < 100000000; i++) { result += array[i]; } you'd run into problems as result gets much larger than 1.0. So what are some of the ways to more accurately perform the summation?

• VB.NET encoding one character wrong

- by Nick Spiers
I have a byte array that I'm encoding to a string: Private Function GetKey() As String Dim ba() As Byte = {&H47, &H43, &H44, &H53, &H79, &H73, &H74, &H65, &H6D, &H73, &H89, &HA, &H1, &H32, &H31, &H36} Dim strReturn As String = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(ba) Return strReturn End Function Then I write that to a file via IO.File.AppendAllText. If I open that file in 010 Editor (to view the binary data) it displays as this: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 3F 0A 01 32 31 36 The original byte array contained 89 at position 11, and the encoded string contains 3F. If I change my encoding to Encoding.Default.GetString, it gives me: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 E2 80 B0 0A 01 32 31 36 Any help would be much appreciated!

• php convert images and upload to amazon s3

- by faraklit
I am looking for a best practice while uploading images to amazon s3 server and serving from there. We need four different sizes of an image. So just after image upload we convert the image and scale in 4 different widths and heights. And then we send them to the amazon s3 using official php api. // ... // image conversions, bucket setting, s3 initialization etc. $sizes= array("", "48", "64", "128"); foreach($sizes as $size) { $filename = $upload_path.$dest_file.$size.$ext; $s3->batch()->create_object($bucket, , array( 'fileUpload' => $filename, 'acl' => AmazonS3::ACL_PUBLIC, )); } But for a 1M image the client sometimes wait up to 30 seconds which is a very long time. Instead of sending images immediately to S3, it may be better to add them to a job queue. But the user should see the uploaded image immediately.

• How to execute unknown functions from dynamic load libraries?

- by activenightly
It's easy to load functions from dynamic libraries when you know this function in design time. just do something like this: int (*fn)(int); l0 = dlopen("./libfoo.so", RTLD_LAZY); if (!l0) { fprintf(stderr, "l0 %s\n", dlerror()); return 1; } fn = (int (*)(int))dlsym(l0, "foo"); if ((error = dlerror()) != NULL) { fprintf(stderr, "fn:%s\n", error); return 1; } x=(*fn)(y); ... How to execute library function when it's unknown in design time? In runtime you have a function name and array of arguments pointers and array of arguments sizes: char* fn_name="foo"; int foo_argc; void* foo_argv[]; int foo_argv_size[]; In scripting language it's a piece a cake task, but how to implement this nicely in c++?

• floats in NSArray

- by JordanC
I have an NSArray of floats which I did by encapsulating the floats using [NSNumber numberWithFloat:myFloat] ; Then I passed that array somewhere else and I need to pull those floats out of the array and perform basic arithmatic. When I try [myArray objectAtIndex:i] ; The compiler complains that I'm trying to perform arithmatic on a type id. It also won't let me cast to float or double. Any ideas? This seems like it should be an easy problem. Maybe it will come to me after another cup of coffee, but some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

• How to localize numerals?

- by SoLoGHoST
Ok, I'm using mathematical equations to output numbers, though, I need this to be compatible for all languages. Currently, all language strings are within a php array called $txt, and each key of the array gets called for that language. I'm outputting the following: Column 1, Column 2, Column 3, and so on, as well as Row 1, Row 2, Row 3, and so on. The calculations are done via php and javascript, so I'm wondering on the best approach for how to support all languages for the numbers only. I don't do the translations, someone else does, but I need to be able to point it to, either the php variable $txt of where the language is defined, or, since the calculations are done via javascript also, I need to somehow store this in there. I'm thinking of storing something like this: // This part goes in the php language file. $txt['0'] = '0'; $txt['1'] = '1'; $txt['2'] = '2'; $txt['2'] = '3'; $txt['4'] = '4'; $txt['5'] = '5'; $txt['6'] = '6'; $txt['7'] = '7'; $txt['8'] = '8'; $txt['9'] = '9'; // This part goes in the php file that needs to call the numbers. echo ''; And than in the javascript function it could grab the correct string for each number like so: // Example Number String below. var numString = "10"; var transNum = ""; for(x=0;x<numString.length;x++) { var numChar = numString.charAt(x); transNum += numtxts[parseInt(numChar)]; } return transNum; The problem with this bit of code is that it groups the numbers, not sure if all languages do that, like the english language does...? Perhaps there's a better approach for this? Can anyone help please? Thanks :)

The code below is an attempt to take the WP_Widget_Categories class and use it as the basis for a custom categories widget based on the default categories widget. I'm getting no output however and the widget is not showing up in the "Available Widgets" listing. What am I doing wrong? <?php /* Plugin Name: My Categories Widget Version: 1.0 */ class MY_Widget_Categories extends WP_Widget { function MY_Widget_Categories() { $widget_ops = array( 'classname' => 'widget_categories', 'description' => __( "A list or dropdown of categories" ) ); $this->WP_Widget('categories', __('Categories'), $widget_ops); } function widget( $args, $instance ) { extract( $args ); $title = apply_filters('widget_title', empty( $instance['title'] ) ? __( 'Categories' ) : $instance['title']); $c = $instance['count'] ? '1' : '0'; $h = $instance['hierarchical'] ? '1' : '0'; $d = $instance['dropdown'] ? '1' : '0'; echo $before_widget; if ( $title ) echo $before_title . $title . $after_title; $cat_args = array('orderby' => 'name', 'show_count' => $c, 'hierarchical' => $h); if ( $d ) { $cat_args['show_option_none'] = __('Select Category'); wp_dropdown_categories(apply_filters('widget_categories_dropdown_args', $cat_args)); ?> <?php } else { ?>
<?php $cat_args['title_li'] = ''; wp_list_categories(apply_filters('widget_categories_args', $cat_args)); ?>
<?php } echo $after_widget; } function update( $new_instance, $old_instance ) { $instance = $old_instance; $instance['title'] = strip_tags($new_instance['title']); $instance['count'] = $new_instance['count'] ? 1 : 0; $instance['hierarchical'] = $new_instance['hierarchical'] ? 1 : 0; $instance['dropdown'] = $new_instance['dropdown'] ? 1 : 0; return $instance; } function form( $instance ) { //Defaults $instance = wp_parse_args( (array) $instance, array( 'title' => '') ); $title = esc_attr( $instance['title'] ); $count = isset($instance['count']) ?
