• Controlled hyperlink hijaxing

  I am working on a web application. I have a data grid with a 'commands' column that has hyperlinks for some common CRUD operations (Edit, Delete, etc). When a user clicks on say the Edit hyperlink, I retrieve the unique identifier for the data grid row and load a modal form dialog (i am using jQuery UI) so the user is able to edit the row data and subsequently close the modal form dialog at which point I refresh the page. Now, before the page is done refreshing, there's a chance that a user might click on the edit link again, and whenever that happens, 'hijaxing' fails. My question is how can i check that if a user clicks on a hyperlink and the page is refreshing, i delay until it is done refreshing, then i allow the 'hijax' to kick in.

  I have the following model associations: Response->Survey Response->Question Response->Choice Survey->Question Question->Choice I want to create a form where I could answer all the questions for one survey. So I used the following to return the needed data: $questions = $this->Response->Question->find('all', array( 'conditions' => array('survey_id' => $id), 'contain' => array('Choice') ) ); Sample output for debug($questions). Questions Is there a contain() option so that an associated model returns in the find('list') format so that I could use: foreach($question as $questions) { $this-Form-select('field_name', $question['Choice']); } If no option is available, how could I do this using PHP's builting array methods? • Calling Javascript after linking to another page

  I am doing an integration with a support system (Helpstream) and I am currently working on doing some in-app context sensitive help. I have put in a link that will send the user to a section of Helpstream that will allow them to ask a question. Problem is, there are buttons on the page that call Javascript that will bring up a lightbox where the user fills out a form to submit a question. What I need to do is have that form come up after the user goes through the link, so essentially run the Javascript once the user hits the page. The call that I have to implement is NewTopic.CreateNew({type:"Question"}) Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What I would like it to do is have anybody comment on it (they don't need to login). The comment submission form just required a Name and comment. What would be the simplest way to do this?   I've seen various Grails plugins which allow easier handling of file uploads, however these tend only to support a single file per form-submit. I'd like a multi-attach form where as soon as you pick one file, an extra field and button is added using JS (various sites do it like this). Do you know of any good plugins which provide elegant uploading of multiple files without excessive coding? A progress bar either per-file of for the whole process would also be very nice. I don't know to what extent I can allow GORM to handle a java.io.File field (or in this case a Collection<File>).

• Need to include #anchor after querystring list

  Hello, Form is 'get' to a API which operates off of querystring. One of the parameters is a PackageID which indicates a vacation package. In order for the packageID to appear I also need to append '#packages' to the end of the get request. Since not all form 'get' have a package I need this to be dynamic. I've tried adding a hidden field with '#packages' as the value - however the '#' is automatically encoded and therefore not registered when the server grabs the URL. What would be the best way for me to dynamically include '#packages' as it appears in the querystring via javascript? Thanks!

• How do I get a list of all languages that my Windows Forms application has been localized to?

  I have localized localized a Form into two language by setting the Localizable property to True and setting the Language from (Default) to (Dutch(Netherlands)), and I changed the control texts. Visual Studio generated the resource files and compiles them into the application. I need to get a simple list of all the languages that my form has been localized into. Currently it would be just two English and Dutch, but more may come. I need to programatically get a list of "what languages my application is localized into". Do I look into the resource files or use ResourceManager or what? Thanks!

  I am making one application where user will print invoices which I am displaying using Crystal Report. The user showed me his current application made using ForPro. In that application, under Printer Options form, one can see all the printers currently installed and the user could select default printer. When the invoice is made, the user presses the print button, then there is one dialog asking for no. of copies. When it's entered, the invoice gets printed directly, without any Print Dialog Box. If the user wants to change the printer again he/she will change it in the Printer Option form. I want to know if similar thing is possible in Crystal Report and need guidance on how to approach for it.

  Newbie CSS question. I thought 'width:auto' for a display:block element meant 'fill available space'. However for an <input> element this doesn't seem to be the case. For example: <body> <form style='background-color:red'> <input type='text' style='background-color:green;display:block;width:auto'> </form> </body> Two questions then: Is there a definition of exactly what width:auto does mean? The CSS spec seems vague to me, but maybe I missed the relevant section. • Image upload not functioning correctly

  I'm still trying to get to grips with PHP, and I'm trying to make a form that uploads a picture to a database. I don't have permissions for move_uploaded_file so I'm using the copy() as an alternative. Everywhere I've seen experiencing similar problems have all been with move_uploaded_file so I'm rather stuck. Trying to copy the image from the desktop doesn't seem to be working, it's not throwing up any more PHP errors but is displaying the error message for if something goes wrong. The form sends data to two tables in the database but I'm mainly concerned with the upload not working.   I have a very simple api that is part of a rails app that requires logging in. I just need a way to make the api part accessible with a simple form that allows the user to enter parameters like a key (just a simple one stored in the DB, no OAuth or anything), a userId to find and return a user via json, and maybe some other parameters like asking for their schedule. How can I keep this seperate from the rest of the app, making it a public facing form that will grant access only to the api? Thanks.

  The use case is simple. I allow users to enter in an expiration field which needs to be between 1 and 15 into a form. The model takes that number and converts it into a datetime (such as adding 15 days from today) and stores it in the database. What's the correct way to actually validate that though? Do I validate against the datetime format that gets persisted in the database or the select box (1..15) that the user gets to pick through the form? I want to be able to validate that the user is putting in 1..15.. How is this done with ActiveRecord validation in Rails 2.3.5?
