  • How to setup exchange outlook calendar?

    We have a Small Business Server (SBS) Windows 2003, and we need to setup a shared outlook calendar using exchange (comes with the SBS), however my client does not want to use exchange mail. In other words, they would like to use Outlook to send an receive emails using some hosted web mail service (using POP) but have the Outlook calendar shared among users using exchange on local SBS server. All users have domain accounts configured. Is this possible to do?

  • EC2 Instance of Wordpress not mapping URLs correctly

    I'm using an AWS EC2 micro instance to run a wordpress blog. I've successfully mapped a subdomain to the Elastic IP for the micro instance. After a few minor changes, the URL I mapped to the Elastic IP (blog.example.com) opens up the wordpress home page but whenever I click on any of the wordpress links the domain changes to the AWS public DNS for that instance (http://ec2-123-45-678-910.compute-1.amazonaws.com/wordpress/). How do I fix the URLs so that they all follow the subdomain I have setup?

  • PowerShell - Finding all of users' group memberships and kicking it out of them

    as title says, I have to find all the groups that the user is a member of, and deleting its membership from all of them. I've tried this: get-adgroup -filter * | where {(Get-ADGroupMember $_ | foreach {$_.PrimarySmtpAdress}) -contains "[email protected]"} but it doesnt return anything (although THERE ARE some items that have to be returned) as for the deletion I found no way to do it, could someone give me an example of a code that does this? Im talking about security groups.

    I have an Amazon EC2 + SSL just installed on GoDaddy. I have successfully managed to install it and get the green https on the main domain https://www.example.com however it doesn't any https://www.example.com/something but the route works under http://www.example.com I am using an .htacess file for some rewrite. Options -MultiViews RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^ index.php [L] the Ec2 instance is ubuntu if that helps in anyway.

    We currently have setting to sync time when spread is more than 5 mins, but it's getting to a point where some applications don't accept it. What is best practice out there to sync time for all windows and unix boxes to sync with time server or domain controller. Windows time service is not made for high accuracy less then 10 secs. What are alternatives ?

  • Change ISP and MX static ip but no mail

    We have recently changed our ISP, I have changed the MX record for our domain name to point to the new external static IP address for the router on the new ISP's connexion but I am not getting any mail (though sending works). Do I just have to wait will the change propagates? I am slightly concerned because I can connect to the web email service made visible through the new router, but not actually receive email. Have I missed something?

However, after deleting the account, I am not able to configure again, and it keep on repeating same problem: invalid email account.     How can I block a specific directory of a website as e.g. http://example.com/someSite unfortunately the hosts file is not an option since you can only block whole domains there and any "/" just destroys these rules. This is just for my personal protection against visiting some sites too often, while i still have to be able to get to the other sites of that domain (as e.g. example.com/someOtherSite) Would be great if someone knows a solution regarding this topic.

Not only when I type it at address bar but any where it is referenced within the served html page. All the other domains should be left as is. I know I can setup a proxy like Squid or use a pac file in a web site but I want it simpler if possible.

    My admin share C$ has been removed causing our server managed security - Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, to stop updating this client because it is unable to create local tasks. I've searched for two days now, lots of stuff about disabling C$ or allowing network access via a regedit - but nothing about restoring a missing "default admin share C$". OK I can recreate C$ from the mmc but it's removed on a reboot. System is Win7 Pro 64-bit on a domain Very grateful for any help... Nick

After setting up a few <VirtualHost>s in apache, I'd like to configure the _defualt_ ServerName so that it returns the 404 message. I.e., unless some explicitly available domain is specified in the Host http header, return 404. (Ideally something more direct than pointing to a now-nonexistent directory.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Windows using the DNS suffix search list on all lookups, even valid FQDNs. How to stop this?

    When doing DNS lookups (specifically using nslookup, for some reason most things are not effected) Windows XP Pro SP3 is using the DNS suffix search list for every single one. Even for fully qualified domain names. For example I lookup "www.microsoft.com" but windows actually asks for "www.microsoft.com.eondream.com" (eondream.com is my primary domain). Now I can fix the issue by removing the Primary DNS suffix, but it seems to me that the DNS suffix search list should be for short, invalid names (where dots=0 or something). I'm sure I have a misconfiguration somewhere in windows but I don't know where. I've changed every option I can think of or find. Below is the output of ipconfig /all and nslookup (with debug & db2 enabled). This is using a static IP & (internal) DNS server.   • Cannot get to configure Kerberos for Reporting Services

    Context I am trying to configure Kerberos in the domain for double-hop authentication. So here are the machines and their respective roles: client01: Windows 7 as client dc01: Windows Server 2008 R2 as domain controller and dns server01: Windows Server 2008 R2 as reporting server (native mode) server02: Windows Server 2008 R2 as SQL Server database engine I want my client01 to connect to server01 and configure a data source that is located on server02 using Intergrated Security. So as NTLM cannot push credentials that far, I need to setup Kerberos to enable double-hop authentication. The reporting service is runned by the Network Service service account and is configured only with the RSWindowsNegotiate options for authentication. Issue I cannot get to pass my client01 credential to server02 when configuring the data source on server01. Therefore I get the error: Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. So I went on dc01 and delegated full trust for any service to server01 but it not fixed the problem. I want to notice that I did not configured any SPNs for server01 because Reporting Service is runned by Network Service and from what I read on the Internet, when Reporting Services is going up with Network Service, SPNs are automatically registered. My problem is that even if that I want to configure SPNs manually, I do not know where I have to set them up. On dc01 or on server01? So I went a bit further on the issue and tried to trace this problem. From my understanding of Kerberos, this is what should happen on the network when I try to connect the data source: client01 ---- AS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- AS_REP ---- client01 ---- TGS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- TGS_REP ---- client01 ---- AP_REQ ---> server01 <--- AP_REP ---- server01 ---- TGS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- TGS_REP ---- server01 ---- AP_REQ ---> server02 <--- AP_REP ---- So captured my local network with Wireshark, but whenever I try to configure my data source from client01 on server01 to pass my credentials to server02, my client never sends a AS_REQ or TGS_REQ to the KDC on dc01. Questions So does anyone can tell me if I should configure the SPNs and on which machine does it have to be configured? Also why client01 never request for a TGT or a TGS to my KDC. Do you think there is something going wrong with the DC role of dc01?

Folder structure is: e:\backup <- shared as a "backup" folder \\backupfb\backup\ e:\backup\BackupAdmin <-- directory is used by the Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Workstations client to download revisions and configurations. Nodes require read-only access to these directories e:\backup\RealTimeBackup <-- enable client accounts to create directories that are only accessible by the account that created them. As a result, the directory that contains data for a node is not created until that node connects to the server.
