  In Coldfusion we have the variable: <cfsavecontent name="HTML_content"> <div class="test_div" style="color:#FFF;">Test</div> </cfsavecontent> Within PHP there seems to be no way of doing this without some really hacky function or escaping double quotes. I'm trying to create emails (large html documents) within the same page by saving the email content and simply mailing it but it seems like there's no way of doing this within PHP without using $var = "\"crap\""; Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Like for example body { font-size: medium; line-height: 1.3em; } But I have also seen people do things like that on the html tag. And on both. Where should it be done? Should some be at one and some at the other? Should all be on one of them? Or does it simply not matter at all? Or?

• Display errorList and showErrors in html page.

  I am having application.html where I used jquery.validate.js and it works fine and submit my data to process.php. But I want if there is an error generated by jquery.validate.js then I know the how many errors generated by validate.js in application.php. I am going to implement if there are number of errors generated then uploading function will be disable. If there is no error generated then uploading function will work. • Loading multiple embedded flash apps onto an HTML page- problem with ordering

  We need to load an embedded version of a site written in Flash, and not originally designed to load multiple instances of itself, on a HTML page. The specific issue is how to get them to load in order when embedded, given that they are all being opened by the same instance of the flash player. It's a complicated mapping application, and at the moment, the maps and data get intermixed as the session variables are overwritten by another instance starting to load before the previous one has finished. We need a way to have them load sequentially, one finishing before another starts to load. The most we can specify in the URL is an &order=1 or similar. We have PHP and SQL on the backend. Edit: The embedded versions are being loaded in an iFrame of a parent site. One php file loads one swf, as many times as the parent site desires.

And i want to extract "DESIRED IMAGE LINK" inside the "" tag, currently i'm using this: $pattern = '<div class="cont">.*?src=["\']?([^"\']?.*?(png|jpg|jpeg|gif))["\']?/i'; if (preg_match($pattern, $content, $image)) ..... But it doesn't work, the error is: warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown modifier '.' How can i fix it? Thanks

• JQuery Tabs - HTML not displayed in any other tab except default tab

  I'm pretty new to jquery, but I have a tab structure working and make a $.getJSON call to retrieve the JSON results from the backend. Now, I have 3 tabs: Tab1, Tab2 and Tab3. All the three tabs have the same divs but different content. The content shows up just fine in the first tab which is shown by default, but on clicking the 2nd tab, I make the same $.getJSON call and retrieve the JSON just fine, the same HTML is being constructed on the fly and set in the DIV within the tab but it is not being displayed... Any pointers??

• Using regex to strip out certain data from HTML code via PHP

  I have the following HTML snippet <tr> <td class="1">...</td> <td class="2">...</td> <td class="3">...</td> <td class="4">...</td> </tr> etc... I basically have N rows, and each row contains 4 TD's each with a unique class. I would like a simple way to split out all the rows and TD's by class so I can choose what data I want to use. I expect the easiest way to achieve this would be regex (maybe two). One to split up the TR's then another to split up the TDs (by class preferably) Thanks

• HTML chrome:// page with select box, onChange failing

  I have a html page. It is chrome://. I have a select box. Giving it the oncommand attribute won't work. So I have to use onchange however you have the typical problem with onchange where it doesnt work if user uses the keyboard arrows, or letters of items to change things. Is there anyway to attach onCommand to my select box? I want to avoid to use onkeyup as then i have to to validation to see if it really changed (which would require me saving previous values).

• Chrome/IE table cell positioning help

  I am making a tiny script to make a HTML element editable. When you click on an element, it gets replaced with a textarea, and you can basically enter the new text. When you press enter, the textarea is replaced with the original element with its innerHTML updated. The demo of the script is here: http://iambot.net/demo/editable/ Now the problem is with the inline table editing. It works perfectly on FF 3.6, but on Chrome/Safari, once the value of a cell is updated, the position of the updated cell shifts to the right by the width of a cell.(Just try the demo in Chrome/Safari) It totally messes up the whole table. I am a beginner in CSS and not able to identify where exactly I'm going wrong. Any help/pointers appreciated! Thanks.

  Hi All, I need all your help in guiding me with working on HL7 Interface Integration which I am to work on between two disperate clinical applications. Its something like this ,let me explain my query with an example. "We have Epic system that places orders(lab,medications..etc) presently.Now,next these lab orders are to result in another Cerner application. For this,there has to be a INTERFACE ENGINE which has to read the HL7 messages coming from the EPIC system and translate them to proper messages for the Cerner SYSTEM and then write into their database. So,could you please explain me with an example interface engine which reads the HL-7 messages first and translates them to Cerner application format. How will i implement a Interface Engine here which would read the EPIC data? What steps are involved? An example would be best. Mainly,orders are first placed in EPIC and is to resulted in Cerner applications. **PLEASE PLEASE help me with understanding the process,and how to do interface intregation with an Interface Engine?   Hi all , i cannot understand a certain part of the paper published by Donald Johnson about finding cycles (Circuits) in a graph. More specific i cannot understand what is the matrix Ak which is mentioned in the following line of the pseudo code : Ak:=adjacency structure of strong component K with least vertex in subgraph of G induced by {s,s+1,....n}; to make things worse some lines after is mentins " for i in Vk do " without declaring what the Vk is... As far i have understand we have the following: 1) in general, a strong component is a sub-graph of a graph, in which for every node of this sub-graph there is a path to any node of the sub-graph (in other words you can access any node of the sub-graph from any other node of the sub-graph) 2) a sub-graph induced by a list of nodes is a graph containing all these nodes plus all the edges connecting these nodes. in paper the mathematical definition is " F is a subgraph of G induced by W if W is subset of V and F = (W,{u,y)|u,y in W and (u,y) in E)}) where u,y are edges , E is the set of all the edges in the graph, W is a set of nodes. 3)in the code implementation the nodes are named by integer numbers 1 ... n. 4) I suspect that the Vk is the set of nodes of the strong component K. now to the question. Lets say we have a graph G= (V,E) with V = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} which it can be divided into 3 strong components the SC1 = {1,4,7,8} SC2= {2,3,9} SC3 = {5,6} (and their edges) Can anybody give me an example for s =1, s= 2, s= 5 what if going to be the Vk and Ak according to the code? • Need help figuring out an appropriate job title

  My official title is Programmer but I do not feel it fully represents what I do because a large portion of my time is spent working with QA on testing, acting as a liason with our offshore development team and meeting with business managers to help make decisions about new features. My understanding has always been that the title "Programmer" is usually applied to someone who simply writes code, not someone who is involved in architecture decisions or managerial issues related to offshore teams. It is true that I do not have any budgeting duties as my manager does and I do not deal with contracts related to the offshore development. My manager handles both of those duties. But the title "Programmer" seems like a very narrow label for the broad range of responsibilities that I have. For example, I sometimes help QA staff to figure out how to do their testing. And I give the offshore team detailed instructions about how to implement new features - I review their code and integrate their changes locally. I don't know if this is typical these days or if I should ask for a title change. If I should ask for a title change, I would appreciate any recommendations.

• Need help with buffer overrun.

  I've got a buffer overrun I absolutely can't see to figure out (in C). First of all, it only happens maybe 10% of the time or so. The data that it is pulling from the DB each time doesn't seem to be all that much different between executions... at least not different enough for me to find any discernible pattern as to when it happens. The exact message from Visual Studio is this: A buffer overrun has occurred in hub.exe which has corrupted the program's internal state. Press Break to debug the program or Continue to terminate the program. For more details please see Help topic 'How to debug Buffer Overrun Issues'. If I debug, I find that it is broken in __report_gsfailure() which I'm pretty sure is from the /GS flag on the compiler and also signifies that this is an overrun on the stack rather than the heap. I can also see the function it threw this on as it was leaving, but I can't see anything in there that would cause this behavior, the function has also existed for a long time (10+ years, albeit with some minor modifications) and as far as I know, this has never happened. I'd post the code of the function, but it's decently long and references a lot of proprietary functions/variables/etc. I'm basically just looking for either some idea of what I should be looking for that I haven't or perhaps some tools that may help. Unfortunately, nearly every tool I've found only helps with debugging overruns on the heap, and unless I'm mistaken, this is on the stack. Thanks in advance.

  I have built an installer for my windows app using the VisualStudio 2008 IDE. I also use some custom-actions to do a few extra stuff at the time of installation/uninstallation. What I also want to do is that when the installation is completed, the installer should launch a help webpage or a getting-started page for the users to know how to go ahead with the app. I am doing the following for this: private void CustomInstaller_Committed(object sender, InstallEventArgs e) { System.Windows.Forms.LinkLabel lbl = new System.Windows.Forms.LinkLabel(); lbl.Links.Remove(lbl.Links[0]); lbl.Links.Add(0, lbl.Text.Length, "http://www.mywebsite.com/help.aspx"); ProcessStartInfo pInfo = new ProcessStartInfo(lbl.Links[0].LinkData.ToString()); Process.Start(pInfo); } Also, I set the event handler as such: this.Committed += new InstallEventHandler(CustomInstaller_Committed); This is launching the webpage, but not at the right point in the flow where I would have wanted it. It launches the IE browser even before the user dismisses the installation window (i.e clicks 'Close' in the Installation Completed dialog box). I want the webpage to open only when the user finally dismisses the installation. Any ideas how can I achieve this? Thanks, Kapil

  Hi all, I am new to microsoft great plains technology. In this post my concern is to save the scroll window data in original sql table. I am selecting the values from lookup window and displaying in scroll window and saving it to temp table. While i am running temp table i see data is saved there, my motto is to save the data from temp table to original table while clicking the save button. for that i have written... get first table is_customer_temp; while err() = OKAY do copy from table is_customer_temp to table is_customer; save table is_customer; get next table is_customer_temp; end while; but while i see the back end nothing is stored in original table. Pls somebody help me... And 2nd problem is i want to delete the selected row from scroll window using checkbox. If i dont use check box and simply want to delete row i can do this simple way....write delete code scroll window line delete event and call that script in row delete button event. It will delete the particular row from scroll. But how can i do if i use checkbox in scroll window...Pls somebody help me.. Thanks, Rahul

• Forcing CLLocationManager updates - does it help or hurt?

  I've been trying to find any way to optimize the performance of my location-based iPhone application and have seen some people mention that you can force location updates by starting and stopping your CLLocationManager. I need the best accuracy I can get, and the user in my case would probably like to see updates every few seconds (say, 10 seconds) as they walk around. I've set the filters accordingly, but I notice that sometimes I don't get any updates on the device for quite some time. I'm testing the following approach, which forces an update when a fixed time interval passes (I'm using 20 seconds). My gut tells me this really won't help me provide more accurate updates to the user, and that just leaving CLLocationManager running all the time is probably the best approach. - (void)forceLocationUpdate { [[LocationManager locationManager] stopUpdates]; [[LocationManager locationManager] startUpdates]; [self performSelector:@selector(forceLocationUpdate) withObject:nil afterDelay:20.0]; } My question is- does forcing updates from CLLocationManager actually improve core location performance? There are user's that are members of both FACULTY and STAFF groups, so I want to check for those users and display the appropriate content for them. So if the user is both faculty and staff, then display this, if they are only of staff, display that, same for faculty, might not make sense, but I will write out some code "in theory" that will help you understand what I am trying to do switch(Get group membership of user) { case "FACULTY": print "Faculty group member"; break; case "STAFF": print "Staff group member"; break; case "FACULTY and STAFF": print "Member of both faculty and staff"; break; } I am unsure on how it will check if they are members of both groups and run that thru the case statement to display the appropriate message. The foreach look currently runs thru every group the user belongs to, prints out the ones from the $list_of_groups and the number 1 to the right of it, signifying they belong to it. The problem I have is trying to use that information to run thru the case statement, I am unsure of how to go about that. This is what it prints out for the user currently passed thru the foreach loop: Group: FACULTY user in group? 1 Group: STAFF user in group? 1 Any help is appreciated.
